I knew about this problem but now that I have my 4gb sd I got also the problem. I know I should fill my SD to 2gb to let cam app recognize it, but I was asking if there is any patch that can solve the problem.
THX in advance.
That would be cool yes, i suffer the same problem
so did i until i filled up 1/2 of the card with several movies. now it doesn't matter. besides... the camera is pretty crappy even when it does save to the SD Card (and it's slower too).
Upgrade your rom - this problem is fixed on the newer roms.

What versin should I use, plus the Camera app is so slow, how can we fix that????
For the decision of this problem, it is necessary "to break" SD4Gb into two Partitions on 2Gb.

How??
I apologize, for this electronic translation from Russian.
I have bought adapter PCMCIA Transcend 5in1. At me on PC stands IDE PCMCIA/CF adapter. On PC in BIOS has disconnected all IDE, except for that on which PCMCIA/CF, has inserted there 5in1 with SD, loading with loading diskettes WIN'98, fdisk, support of the big partitions - YES... 2 disks, a format... All.

Theoretically yes. As far as i remember, the SDHC standard can achieve 32Gb. I suppose the drivers are already including this possibility. (6Gb and 8Gb are working well)

Greetings fellow Friends from Galaxy
I just moved myself from the HTC Magic section to this one.. It was quite a jump, the Galaxy S Camera and 4inch screen are AWESOME =)
I have a few noob questions that I don't want to spread through many posts, so i've chosen to get them all here, without polution this forum section. Also they might come in handy for future Galaxy S buyers!
My phone is: 2.1-update1 @ I9000XXJF5
Question #1
Well at first glance everyone's trying to fix the "LAG PROBLEM"... I haven't noticed any lag!! What are we talking about? If its a fix.. i want it too
Click to collapse
the lag problem does not accure instantly after startup, it takes a while to do so.
Question #2
The phone came with Android 2.1, but at samsung-firmwares.com and at this dev section of the forum, i saw the JP3 Froyo release. How stable is this? Is it already a daily driver or a total beta? As an Android lover, i'd love to have the latest
Click to collapse
this release is, lets say, alpha quality, however some do use it daily and seems to be stable so far, but the jit is broken, so dont expect it to be faster than eclair
Question #3
I've used the One Click rooting solution and then the ROM Manager Clockwork to boot into clockwork rom and make a full-system backup. In my HTC Magic i had the recovery ROM (Amon_RA) flashed into the internal phone memory, so even if i didn't have a ROM installed, i was ALWAYS able to boot into recovery. That was a safety plus. How can i flash the Clockwork Recovery directly to my phone, without the ROM Manager? I'd feel more secure if i could count on recovery even if, for example, i flashed a non-working system ROM.
Click to collapse
you can run the clockwork recovery from original recovery by simply running it´s update.zip, this does in fact load the clockwork recovery into memory
Question #4
So what is YOUR favourite ROM? My stock has some unwanted apps, and even worse, it's Eclair. I'd like to switch soon, but i don't know these Galaxy S ROMs Tell me what's the best ROM for you!
Thanks guys, XDA is indeed the #1 place for mobile stuff
Cheers

If JIT is broken, the rest of new 2.2 features can be achieved through Market tools... I'll stick to 2.1 then. By the way, where's a CLEAN 2.1 Rom? this one has lots of service-provider tools... They suck.

Now That's a fix! So i just have to keep my update.zip of Clockwork Rom in INTERNAL SD CARD so that anytime, anywhere, i just have to perform update.zip and the Clockwork will boot ONCE from RAM and them be cleared at next boot, right?

Can you point me to a location explaining the issue?
I've seen the fix but i'd like to understand if the bug exists in every kernel, since is a file-system related bug.
Thanks

I dunno about you but HACKECLAIR surfaced the day I got my phone so I thought it might be destiny, or you know just a co-incidence.

Give it a try, it clears out the stock rubbish and leaves it in a folder on ur sd card to install later if you need it.

Does any developer know of a way to substitute the stock kernel in a note 2 with one that allows the app2sd init,d script.
my note 2 is rooted and has CWM but other than that no other changes. i am a very heavy user of apps due to the field that i work in, and 16gb internal mem is not good enough, i have a 64gb class 10 sd card fully working, but very underused.

So, anyone knows how to implement the init.d on rooted stock kernel/rom with CWM recovery?

hello all yesterday i installed a custom jellyking CM 10 ROM for the very first time in WFS 2012 Thank you XDA developers..:good:keep up the awesome work.
the main reason to install custom ROM was to increase my internal memory. i was wondering how can i do that now, i read different tutorials and i am kind of confused now, using INT2EXT+ or there was another tutorial using Link2Sd can anyone please guide me regarding that, and also should i partition SD card in CWM recovery or by mini tool partition wizard. i am having 2GB of card what size shall be suitable. Thank You
You can partition SD card by using CWM and choose the size which you think is sutable for you(512 MB should be good for you)..After Partitioning SD card install ROM,int2ext+ and then GAPPS..

with int2ext+ you can actually use up to 950MB
It's 750 MB because 100 MB for every 500 MB data..But as I said it's his choice

right, sorry. I just got confused, because I was lazy and used 1GB and my phone now shows 950MB.
okay thank you, i successfully did that but i was wondering if there is a stable ROM for WFS 2012 Ed. currently using this Jelly King 2.0 based on CM10 by kantry123b, but its having some bugs like video quality is annoying besides MX player isn't compatible with it as its not playing any videos, and these hardware buttons at the bottom of screen won't light up.
Sorry...Buy a bigger sdcard

I have a OnePlus 3 and my phone has a total of 52.57 GB of internal memory. Out of it, 34.46 GB is used for all the personal data. So in theory, I should have 18.11 GB of free space. But only 12.8 GB is available. So where is the missing 5.3 GB of free space? I don't understand these numbers at all.
Somebody please help me sort this out. Thanks in advance.
please try a reboot! could be a problem of SDcardFS bug which is in the XDA news!

Thanks for the reply bro. But I'm not sure that's a bug coz the missing extra space thing was found on almost all the devices I used. And even my friend's Lenovo P2 has the issue. I wonder if that's ROM related.
Between restarting didn't help.
oh okay then. well I really don't understand why is it happening then. you could try the infamous solution of factory reset after taking a back up ofcourse. I guess that's the last option you have if nothing works.

Not fully sure.. But keep in mind that there are other partitions such as for your rom, kernel etc that need space aswell..

So you mean off the 52+ GB free space I get, some will be taken for the ROM? I thought I got 52GB space for user data and the remaining 12GB was reserved for partitions like ROM. Isn't that so?
This is just speculation, but some people think that OnePlus has reserved ~3 GB of internal storage for the .OTA folder beginning in OOS 4.1 (7.1.1). This may be used for Google's seamless system updates feature in the future.

Ooh well. There's no option but to get used to it I guess. Whatever.. thanks for the replies guys.
Check the oem_log folder.
If it takes up a lot of space simply delete it.
It got discovered recently that OOS is storing huge logs when using Bluetooth.
You can simply delete them without any issues.
It's a known glitch on OOS a reboot should fix it temporarily
That what mine was doing. Reformatted to ext4 and reclaimed the missing space.
