Hi Guys, my wife received her new phone today, and ive been playing a little with it installing
one thing i noticed and i was a little happy about 'lock the device and check the volume" volume still adjusts
so was this a bug, well i am not so sure now.
even with an offical rom from Tmobile the volume still adjusts, so i think i will stop with trying to find the problem and just accept that this is the way its meant to be.

Hi all,
I'm currently on my fourth phone from T-Mobile due to the sound going very quiet and tinny through the speaker and while making a call.
T-Mobile have since replaced my MDAIII with a Vario model which is fine but I would like to get it working if possible. The head phone jack seems to work fine.
Thanks
buy a new speaker assembly - i cant remember the website but i belive they were <£10
Thats put my idea of it being software issue out of the window.
Many thanks for the info..
Hi All,
I have a Hermes200 and tried to upgrade to WM6 as per the correct instructions. I initially upgraded the radio to 1.47.00.10 and Schaps 4.30 and in the process lost all external speaker volume. Meaning it does not ring or play any sounds other than the little earpiece.
In the meantime I've tried 1.51.00.10 and Schaps 4.31 and the situation is the same.
BTW it's an unlocked phone originally bought from Rogers.
Any advice would be appreciated.
I gave 1.54.00.00 upgrade a try but stil no good. Anyone else face this issue? Is there a previous radio version that works? Or is it the WM6 upgrade?
I had the same thing happen to mine...but it turned out to be the actual speaker that was broke. I got a replacement speaker off ebay.

Was the replacement difficult? Any special tools?
I just found it so strange that it happened the moment I did the upgrade
My speaker has just packed up, bloody annoying really as I needed to use tomtom at the time, I got a replacement off ebay.

he provides the tools, search for dismantling instructions on the forum, its easy really...
My speaker packed up recently too, downgraded back to T-Mobile WM5 and took it into a T-Mob shop to be fixed under warranty. They gave me the crappest phone known to man as a loan so I've gone back to my (9 year old ) Nokia 6210 as it's a lot better lol.

That's the same guy I got mine from!
To the OP - it's not very hard at all...just make sure you get a copy of the Service Manual and follow that on how to remove the old speaker.
You might actually find that the speaker isn't broke...and it's just the connector that has come off the mother board.
Got my phone back from T-Mobile yesterday and it's been exchanged for a brand new one
Seems a bit excessive for just a busted speaker but who am I to complain
Just realised today that the scroll wheel doesn't work as the ok button when you click it in, so this one will be going back to T-Mobile too
Will see if I can get a Kaiser out of them instead
Hey guys, so I've had the tilt 2 for about 2 weeks now and for the past couple of days I've had some problems with it. My phone sometimes REALLY laggy, this tends to happen MOSTLY when I'm trying to access my messages. The screen freezes for like a minutes and then lags a lot. I eventually have to hold down the power key and turn off the phone which takes a while, I try to stray away from taking the battery out. Also it seems as if sometimes the phone is acting really slow, trust me though I am very pleased with this phone, however these few issues have been bothering me.
Is their a reason why my phone lags and freezes every once in a while and is there a way to stop this?
Is their anyway to speed up my phone? If so how?
Also, I called AT&T and had my old LG Incite replaced with the Tilt 2, they shipped me the Tilt 2 and I shipped them back my LG Incite, they did this all for no cost what so ever on my part, shipping was free and I got my phone the next day I ordered it (First class mail I presume). Now the question is am I still eligible for the 30-day warranty? I'm not sure if that's exactly whats its called but I know when you buy a phone from a store you have up to 30 days to replace it for another new phone (same exact phone) if you had any problems with it. Can I get my Tilt 2 replaced for a new Tilt 2?
Howdy
Well I think you are having the same issues a lot of us have had, and the thing is most actually flash a non-stock ROM.
HTC has released some patches for the laggy SMS issue you can find that here
Also I have heard to never ever pull the battery there is an actual reset button located above the stylus on the side of the phone, but you must remove the cover!
As for the thirty day warranty you may very well still be eligible I actually went through 3 Fuze's before I received a Tilt 2 (albeit it was unreleased... at the time I received 2 Fuze's), but the only way to be sure is to contact AT&T. I'd say your best bet would to be to attempt and obtain another Tilt 2 just to rule out faulty hardware, and then run the patches and see if that is better!
Oh and try jumping over to the ROM forum and read up on Flashing a custom ROM, but PLEASE beware if you do this you will have to revert the device to factory ROM, SPL, and Radio prior to sending it to AT&T! Essentially it "voids" the warranty, but you can easily return the device to stock with a little know how!
Good luck to you and have a Merry Christmas!
Edit: Sorry I kinda missed "is there anyway to speed it up" and yeah there are a lot of ways: Try looking for Advanced Config, Clean RAM (to keep your memory freed up), and there is a thread somewhere that lists bloatware that can be removed. However, the best and quickest way would to be to look into a Custom ROM, in fact there is a "bloat free" version of the AT&T ROM available on this forum!
Hi!
I've searched everywhere, but far as I'm concerned this is a hardware issue, but since I have my phones bootloader unlocked the warranty is not an option. My problem is that the front speaker (incall) is making a strange buzzing sound. Not always, i usually hear it when someone says something with an "S" letter in it. I know it sounds silly but that's a fact. I tried lowering the volume with no luck
I found some post about it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2103770
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/52170
No solution.
I tried many different roms (CWM,MIUI,PAC), nothing helped. When I tried CWM I always downloaded it from FXP site, but one glorious day I downloaded an old FXP rom from CWM main site. No buzzing sound or anything, on the other hand it's a bit low on volume but I can live with that.

Now the real question......
Can Anyone point me in the right direction on what to replace in FXP's new roms so it can sound like the old one, but have all the tweaks and fixes.
Thanks in advance to anyone who answers or at least tries
News!
I know I said it's a hardware related issue. Well I ordered a front spaker from germany
stellatech.com/sony-lt26w-xperia-acro-s-lautsprecher-h%C3%B6rer,a,de,812713.html
It's arrived and I replaced it. The strange noise is still there. Soo i am pretty sure that the phones software overdrive the speaker.
Any suggestions?
I'm planning to upgrade to the LG G4 from the G2, because I have enjoyed the G2 mostly, other than the fact that it went into boot loops and the wifi stopped working.. but I have a few questions.
1) If the speakers are on the back, can you hear properly when you're holding something, doesn't your hand cover it? And even if you're holding it horizontally to watch a video or something, is the sound quailty bad?
2) I heard that LG officially announced that they released phones that have boot loop problems. So after a year when my warranty runs out, and the boot loop starts, will they still fix it?
3) How is the quality of the Android 6.0? I live in Canada using TELUS.
4) Also when the LG G5 comes out in a week, will the price drop?
I would really appreciate if someone would answer these questions. Thanks!

Hi- Almost a week ago, even I upgraded my phone from G2 to G4. So far the experience is really awesome. Please find my answers below. Note: I am not a phone expert and I am putting across my views as a normal person would be able to explain.
1) The shape of the LG G4 is in such a way that the back speaker will not lie flat on its face at any time. So whenever the phone rings it will loud enough. Also when playing games I don't think the speaker will be covered with anyone hand. Again the positioning of the G4 comes into picture. I have installed couple of games and I have not found any issues.
2) Yes. that is correct. LG also accepted the fact about the boot load issues. This issues were primarily found on phones that were released before May or June and the motherboard was replaced free of cost by the Service Center. The one that I bought has the manufactured date as of December 2015 and so far not even once I faced any boot load issue. Probably you can check the manufactured date.
3) I have no clue about Android 6 as I live in India and I am still waiting for the update.
4) Regarding the price factor, I doubt you'll see a drastic cut in the price once the G5 is released.
I need not tell the good things about the phone cause you might have already learnt about it. But yes, it now supports quick charge.
Thanks!
Now can someone who has used android 6.0?? per chance??
I have had the phone for 3 weeks soon, and it has two serious problems: keyboard is laggy, meaning that when you write fast, it won't recognize all the presses. There supposedly is an update for the LG keyboard regarding that issue, however I don't have any updates available for the keyboard so I think I already have it, but it is still very laggy. Which leads to a conclusion that the issue is either throttling down the CPU or then it's a digitizer issue not being sensitive enough. Note that unlike Samsung phones, LG doesn't have an option to change the sensitivity of the screen. But as I write now, the lag issue appears when typing and it freezes the keyboard for about 0,5 secs and also the screen too, so it would indicate either a software bug or CPU being throttles or who knows what. Either way, I hate that one of the most recent LG flagships have a problem of this kind... Regarding warranty, I contacted LG Finland and they just replied that most likely it has no problem, even though I've never had any issues like these on my earlier Samsung phones...
Also, Knock code doesn't always wake up the device, neither does double tapping the screen, which most likely goes back to either CPU, software or digitizer issues. Hate it when I should be able to wake my phone when I'm having the phone in my car holder and it won't wake up because of these issues with the device. I do have the 6.0 update available but haven't had the time to install it yet, also i've heard that as it handles something differently compared to Lollipop, some apps might not work and so on... Which is turning my willingness to update down a bit.
The phone has potential, and it's a shame that because of these issues, I might go back to Samsung soon.

Thanks for you opinion!
i disagree with heartagramm.
when I bought the phone (2 weeks ago) it came with the 10a firmware (the first one, i think) and it was super smooth, no lag issues, everything it's awesome!
The bootloop issue its present on the 505 devices, (the first releases, manufactered in may)
