T-mobile MDAIII [NL] bricked - P3300, MDA Compact III ROM Development

Hi there,
I was running vanilla 3.01 fine!
But this evening my phone was turned off and it did nothing... no light not on the charger and my computer doesn't connect.
I've read a few threads which explained how i could fix this.
So after a hard reset my device only shows the 1st screen with the following information:
IPL 3.04.0001
SPL 1.11.0000
Then nothing.. it sticks to this screen.
Would any of you genuisses help me find a solution?
I would really appreciate! thanx! :-(

found the solution!!!! pffeww
Enter bootloader
Flash original ROM
cid-unlock
update ROM to Vanilla's 3.01
HAPPY!!!!
ps.. THANKS to Aje_fr!!!! (who already posted the solution!)

just in case you don't know how to enter bootloader;
hold down the note and power button and soft reset.
Veel plezier!

now really dead...
I was installing all my software but when I soft reset it was dead....AGAIN!!..
I entered bootloader again and repeated my previous steps.. but now my device goes to sleep instantly.
it doesn't do anything...
Send it to T-mobile I guess... (Glad I was able to flash the WM6 T-mobile [NL] version)
Anyone got an idea whit it could be?

It could just be the backlight switching off. Ive read about this in a few threads. Ive experienced it myself with Meschles 3.01 ROM.

Did i brick my 8525?

Currently i have Black Shadow installed, i wanted to upgrade to Majik and ran the program. I followed the direction (force using sspl, checked everything in order) so i basically did the same as when i upgraded to Shadow. My phone goes to tri color screen and then my active sync disconnects. After the message "Verifying the information on your Hermes...Please wait..." I get this Error 260 saying i can't connect to the phone. Then this error from Microsoft.NET framework comes up as well. I got scared so i reseted the phone and it booted and it still works as a phone and PDA. Now am i stuck with this OS? Is there a way to fix this? Is this bricking? Please help.....
The funny thing is, when it got stuck on the tri color screen from upgrading, it shows SPL-1.09.ds. But when i press power, ok then soft reset, it shows SPL-1.11. Is this normal?

Yes it is normal, cause when you have tried to install MAJIK you have forced SSPL (SPL-1.09.ds) and the RUU pushed the SSPL to your phone...but you have the SPL-1.11 installed...SSPL by-passe your SPL when forcing SSPL to install new ROM, Radio ROM,....

Primoz
Oh ok thanks for clearing that up. But what about the main issue? Is there a way to fix it?
It could be an .NET error...try to install the .NET again...or just flash the ROM from your SD card...if you have a chance try on another comp....

if he has SPL 1.11 you cannot flash unsigned updates... you need to install HardSPL v7.. read that here

on the bricking topic... i upgraded my 8525 to Black Majik ROM. Made a couple of calls and began customizing. i loaded core player and i forgot to change my name for the reg and the device locked. i went to soft reset and now it goes to the AT&T splash screen. now i can't get the unit past this. tried taking battery out...
any advice?
Try to hard reset your device...

See i tried that as well and it's the same result. As far as the .NET, should i upgrade the computer's? or the mobile?
Hmm, it says i already have /NET installed. How about the bootloader. Since i have 1.11, do i have to choose SPL-1.11 as the bootloader as well? I did the auto detect and it chose Force using SPL.
Nevermind, i just did the Hard-SPL-V7 and it worked I wonder why it took me several times to make it work???

Screen vibration after flasshing the rom

Hi everyone.
I have a big issue with my phone. I decided to upgrade the rom by an official one (french HTC rom). I use the unsigned hard SPL and flash it. Since that, my screen is vibrating. I don't know what is the probleme (maybe the phone was too hot during flash and something burn inside ?).
I tried a hard reset => nothing best.
I'm a little big afraid :-( Anyone got an idea ?
Thanks a lot.
I think this is normal my Diamond vibrate on every Startup and when I inital an Call.
Ghostrider
No actually it's not the phone's vibration. It's the image on the screen witch is "flashing" and vibrating.
After a sleeping time, the vibrations are less visible.
If the image on the screen becomes "fuzzy" (like TV interference), it almost sounds like faulty screen some people were experiencing. I doubt it have to do something with your flashing, just happened coincidentially at same time.

Hi, i did have the same problem using TLR (cant remember what version).
What i did was to flash it again with another ROM (bElite v0.54) and my picture was fine after that
Ive got that problem when I flash ANY rom with HARD-SPL running so what I do is flash back to a stock version of spl (1.37) from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2324829&postcount=39
So in this order......
1 - Flash HARD SPL
2 - Flash rom
3 - Flash Stock SPL
Problem solved

Try what ratcom said. If it still flashes with standard ROM, I would advise you to make everything original again (ie original ROM & SPL) then send back to HTC for repair.
Hi. After my issue, I decided to downgrade the phone and, when I put the official SPL, it was working. 5 minutes later, I read ratcom's post that confirm the problem and the solution. So, this morning, after charging the battery, I used unsigned SSPL, put the HTC rom, get one more time the sreen issue, and reflash the SPL by an original one just like ratcom said. And ... it's working. No more sreen vibration ! And a new and nice HTC rom !
So, thanks for your help !

Another brick in the wall

Ok, I tried to upgrade from the original WM6 to WM6.1... didn't work (Phone was freezing at the HTC boot up logo)... tried the hard reset many time and still doesn't work. So I recovered with the original Rogers WM6 ROM using the bootloader mode but phone still doesn't boot. Now I only get a black screen.... Please help... not sure if there is anymore hope for my S621.

Returning to Stock SPL (With a twist)

Hi there,
I'd like to return my Diamond (O2 XDA Diamond) to stock SPL (1.37) since my touchscreen is out of order and I'd like to send it to O2.
I already flashed the stock ROM and now want to flash the stock SPL.
I was following several tutorials on how to do this, but had no luck.
The problem, I think, is that I need to confirm something on my device before flashing (SSPL gives a warning in my understanding), but I can't since I'm stuck on the "Tap on Screen to start Windows mobile device" (is in German for me, but the first screen after Hardreset).
Any Hints on passing that screen via Registry or flashing Stock SPL without any confirmation is highly appreciated.

You can do thAT, on this way
Plug the USB cable to connect your Diamond with PC, make sure ActiveSync connected.
Copy "SSPL-Manual.exe" to Internal Storage on your Diamond.
On your Diamond, execute "SSPL-Manual.exe" and confirm to trust the excutable. Your Diamond screen will turn "BLACK" and ActiveSync will disconnect. *This is normal behavior***
Execute the ROMUpdateUtility.exe.
Your Diamond will automatically restart when finished.
To make sure stock SPL has been flashed back, press and hold "Vol-" key and use stylus to press reset once. until you see the tricolor screen and if you can see version of spl which before you flashed, it's ok!

You are welcome, try this, i discover this combination of buttons
ENTER+VOL UP = ALIGN SCREEN
that means, with this combinations of buttons, you can directly enter ALIGN SCREEN options, and try to align screen , sometimes this helped me, cause my touch screen has same problem, it start to freeze randomly, i don't know why, sometimes in right, sometimes in left corner, up-down, randomly, i noticed that htc diamond when is exposed , when i'm out and it's sunny weather, it stop to responding on touch, one my friend specialist for mobiles, tell me, maybe this happen, cause bellow screen in some pda is some thin rubber, and from heat it start to expand, and that cause problems, maybe this situation is in htc diamond...
greetz and good luck

Hi
I have similar problem and I will tell you what I did to get back to Stock SPL.
1. Flash the BSBs latest ROM from this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=506533 . Either by RUU or moving the diaming.nbh to the storage, this ROM does not require allignment or any other input.
2. Install My Mobiler from http://mymobiler.com in your computer, where you can see your mobile screen in your computer and operate using your mouse.
3. Then return to the stock SPL as given in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2324829&postcount=39.
4. Flash your ROM again from the HTC. This can be done once the system connects to the phone.
I am successful in doing the above.

V.Balaji

Keeps restarting to bootloader with ruunbh error

Hey guys, I've been looking for answer for my problem for several hours without any luck. When my phone is not plugged to USB it won't even start in bootloader mode nor the hard-reset works. When I plug it to USB then it starts in bootloader mode says Upgrade ROM code error Please try again. This screen shows only for about 2 seconds and the phone restarts itself and does the same over and over ... I'm getting desperate. Does anybody know what to do with this issue?
Am also having the same problem since yesterday. My HTC Diamond touch2 had the wm6 from htc..the battery was after every 9hrs dead so i decided to flash the "shania" rom which many says is better. The installation was all fine and shania started.I removed the Batt to put the sim-card and restarted the Phone. It did`nt start and now it gooes on and off with the bootloader tricolor and says "No Image". No access to pc due to "on/off" state. Please Help
No one can Help???
Have also tried to flash using an sd-card without success. The phone does not even charge itself. Please S.O.S
I have a similar problem on my Rhodium (tilt2). Been reading around on and off for a couple days now and have come across a couple possible solutions. I'm still experimenting with my phone.. going to poke around with mtty on my roommate's PC later today. I'm still searching the xda threads (which led me to this post) so I'm sure there is a solution which doesn't involve a service center or warranties. I did read one post about charging the battery in another HTC device and then re-flashing yours with the fully charged battery.. but I don't have that option myself.

I'm sure I have GSM phone. I have HTC Diamond Touch P3700. I sucessfully installed Hard-SPL Olinex 1.40. But then I read there might be some problems with 1.40 version so I tried to downgrade to 1.93 and then this ON/OFF problem started.

Bootloader´s "On/OFF" Solved
I cant believe it...my phone is breathing again..
Somehow I had the feeling that the phone wasnt charging at all. i also read in a forum that one should try to charge the batt in another device but i knew no one with my model..and this is what i did..
1) Connect to pc through USB
2) removed the battery from the phone
3) walla....Bootloader doesnt go off..USB sign shows..a smile on my face...puh!
4) Withought wasting a second I flashed the win6.1rom from my pc
5) Phone goes off ready 4 restart..I put the batt back, waits for it to charge for some minutes and startet the phone..walla...there it goes.
Hope this helps someone
