radio rom error after changing it so many times

Hi All,
Hope you can help. Have played with multitued of roms, crossbow and aku3.x.. changed radios alot. Now I can't seem to change the rom anymore, using official files or maupgradeut tool. Get error 114. It says about to update.. the progress bar never moves and after half minute will time out with the error. Changing CE and ExtRom is fine.
Any ideas?

did you connect your device trough a usb hub or somekind maybe?
I had that problem.
try this:
- Put the device in BL
- start your AC on your pc and disable all connection options
- connect the device on a free usb port, directly on the pc
this should work

Also please use the original cable. This is particularly important for Radio upgrade. If all else please try upgrading from a different PC.

cheers for tips. I will try these.. I think I've poached a cable from a pc peripheral as I'm at work :-D

i'm having the same problem and sadly i want to aware you .... there is no solution for this till now! i have spent a lot of time by now and my universal is still a brick.... just like somebody said... a 1000$ paper weight
tell me if you get through of this.... i know the solution is to get the mother board changed.......

Did your IMEI get changed already once? (motherboard)
My Uni died on me after flashing I think it was a Imate rom and it went back for repairs, they changed the board (therefore the Imei).
Since then no problems anymore.
Could be that your device is still original, I think the early devices atleast had problems with a corrupt eeprom or something which could lockup after flashing.

Dead SPV M5000

Hi,
You may have heard this problem many times, I tried to upgrade my ROM and it failed a few seconds in because for some insane reason the phone rebooted during the upgrade, It now says USB on the top and v1.00, Tried hard reset but does not work, I have also tried to reflash the rom but I am using MS vista that uses an alternative to Activesync, so the upgrade says 202 connection error, Please can anyone help me!!!!

you need to downgrade your drivers... there's a way of doing it, but I've never done it myself, so you'll need to find someone else who has.

Activesync wont install on Vista, which to be honest would probably work fine it is stupid M$ prohibiting it to install,
The computer will detect the phone, it says Microsoft USB Sync, does it need to be a ceartain driver for this to work?

Really need help on this! Computer recognises PDA says Microsoft USB Sync, What is the correct driver, the updater is not recognising the phone

Please anyone if you have even a small idea please post it!!! PLEASE!

Yeah, sorry it took a while, for some reason this thread only popped up as new today???? strange...
For your problems... uninstall ActiveSync... reduntant in Vista, there the new WMDC (I take it you realise this?). After uninstall, connect your device and it will install WMDC with the appropriate updates, then you have to check this thread here....

That thread may be dated and there may be a newer one, but there were many people using it successfully and I was one of them until I downgraded again to XP. Hope it helps.
BTW, Vista sucks A$$, it's just not ready for driver and program release, and if you get an independant memory and CPU monitor, it'll show you that the built in one lies through it's teath!!! But hey, each to it's own. Regards.

Other option would be to flash the ROM using a machine with XP, wich I find more easy than in vista

When I tried it in Vista I had a similar problem, I tried it on an XP machine no problems, am using Win7 now but dont know if upgrading the ROM will work yet, a bit risky.

Hi..
When attempting to update the rom of my trinity i get the 270 error. I am updating from default HTC rom.
Error 270 : update error
The image file is corrupted. Please check your update utility.
I have tried with several roms and to no avail.
Anyone have a solution?

Just run the ROM again. It will work. Do not unplug your sync cord

I get the same problem. However, when I run the ROM update the second time it works perfectly. There is another link somewhere that says the same exact thing..

Strange. With me the updater stops at 1% every time.. and the the phone restarts..

Did you use CID Unlock,hardspl?
Start it off by down that,once you unlock the phone,hardspl and restart pc and trinity,this might work.

Try going to the Artemis forum instead of the trinity forum.
However, I happen to know that you will always get this if you do not use the USPL for the ROM each time you flash your artemis. They are difficult compared to the Trinity. Last time I updated an artemis there was no Hard SPL remover (SPL is Service Providor Lock by the way) (ie you could not run an updater that will let you update your device with any ROM in the future). you need to run USPL every time before flasing your phone.

Or if you have Vista on you PC, just do it in XP.

Hello my friend, this is a very wild guess, but maybe u should see if you have an active connection with your pc, then maybe, you should try to flash an official rom suited for your device.
If none of the above worked, just try the search button, it´s an amazing tool, believe me, sometimes it can do miracles.
Try that.

download the ROM again, perhaps the previous download wasn't really 100% (98% or something), and that's why the image is corrupted.
Or try a different ROM.

Rename the ".nbh" in "ARTEIMG.nbh" copy to SD - root - and try to flash from SD as explained here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_SD_Card_Flashing
For me the easier way to install a ROM. Without errors depending by the OS.

That's great for you...

have you tried re-downloading the rom? and re-flashing an original rom instead?
try searching the forum, somebody once suggested installing the XP device drivers for vista and it helped some people

Try Uspl Included in Touch roms
1- I think ur phone is locked ie. u have installed original rom.
2- I think the only uspl that will work will be included withen Artemis Touch Roms WWE WM6.1(3.01)(4.0)(4.01)(4.02)

Vodafone V1620 (PH20B2) Struck at 6% during Upgrade

Hello
got a brand new unused Vodafone V1620 (PH20B2)
i tried to install ( nk.nbf) a windows 6.1 on my old but brand new device
at first it went through and struck at 6%
dont know what is the issue
i tried mtty
i tried removing battery removing card
tried disabling wces and tried hard soft every single effort.
cant get through 6%...
see attachments...
i know its simple problem but cant get through
neither i found those stock roms i required to re flash to stock eg 2003
Any help...?
please i have tried all tutorials, but correct direction will sort it out..

What do you tried in mtty?
have you successful flash WM2003?
Which rom you have tried... which flash program...
this is the refresh version of blueangel right?
