Or if you have Vista on you PC, just do it in XP.

Hello my friend, this is a very wild guess, but maybe u should see if you have an active connection with your pc, then maybe, you should try to flash an official rom suited for your device.
If none of the above worked, just try the search button, it´s an amazing tool, believe me, sometimes it can do miracles.
Try that.

but I'm still trying..............
download the ROM again, perhaps the previous download wasn't really 100% (98% or something), and that's why the image is corrupted.
Or try a different ROM.
Rename the ".nbh" in "ARTEIMG.nbh" copy to SD - root - and try to flash from SD as explained here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Artemis_SD_Card_Flashing
For me the easier way to install a ROM. Without errors depending by the OS.

That's great for you...
have you tried re-downloading the rom? and re-flashing an original rom instead?
try searching the forum, somebody once suggested installing the XP device drivers for vista and it helped some people
Try Uspl Included in Touch roms
1- I think ur phone is locked ie. u have installed original rom.
2- I think the only uspl that will work will be included withen Artemis Touch Roms WWE WM6.1(3.01)(4.0)(4.01)(4.02)

When attempting to update the rom of my trinity i get the 270 error. I am updating from default HTC rom.

Just run the ROM again. It will work. Do not unplug your sync cord

I get the same problem. However, when I run the ROM update the second time it works perfectly. There is another link somewhere that says the same exact thing..

Strange. With me the updater stops at 1% every time.. and the the phone restarts..

Did you use CID Unlock,hardspl?
Start it off by down that,once you unlock the phone,hardspl and restart pc and trinity,this might work.

Try going to the Artemis forum instead of the trinity forum.
However, I happen to know that you will always get this if you do not use the USPL for the ROM each time you flash your artemis. They are difficult compared to the Trinity. Last time I updated an artemis there was no Hard SPL remover (SPL is Service Providor Lock by the way) (ie you could not run an updater that will let you update your device with any ROM in the future). you need to run USPL every time before flasing your phone.

after phone couldnt powered on, been doing the tri color thing and tryed to upgrade to nrg's rom. while running the uspl it says phone not connected, but when i running the update it does recognize the phone till it gives the error 270
any suggestions why phone seem to b unconnected while trying runing uspl? thx

Flash via SD Info of name for file can be found via search or in NRG thread know it was stated... "would find it but very limited data and pap speed"
managed to flash the beautiful rom of nrg-thanks a lot for this rom..
i cant seem to b able to c the windows folder though....

Hi all, for all the people like me who do not have the patience or knowledge do adventure themselves in the mitty thread.
This program already exists for X1, HD2, TP2 (for what I know) and I have tested it and it works.
After some search on this forum I have talked to agent_47, who was kind enough to make a task29 program for our HTC Diamonds (GSM version).
Agent_47 or me do not take any responsibility for ay damage done to your device. Use it at your own risk, and only after you have HSPL already installed on your device.

WHATS TASK29\MTTY
when u flash a rom, you are copying files onto the internal memory (like duh!) but if u repeatadly flash different roms, sometimes files from older version stays behind as when u flash a rom, you just copy and sometimes overwrite files without deleting the older ones. hence at times these older files may create bugs\instability. hardrest donot always fix it.so we use MTTY
but the thing is, mtty is and can be hard to use for new users. ... for me,, i was having the worst time installin the drivers needed to run mtty on win7 x64. so u i made this tool for me and for all

I do not understand how this is possible, I am using Vista and this is as easy as flashing a ROM with a computer. You just connect the device via USB to the Diamond, let active sync finish. Then you just need to run "ROMUpdateUtility.exe" and follow the instructions.
I have tested this, and I can confirm this is working for the European HTC Diamond (bought in Portugal).
This was not made by me, but I do think that more people will benefit with this program. Hopefully people will overcome the initial resistance to change.

I used to MTTY through VMWare Windows XP x86 within my host Windows 7 x64. It was a pain in the ass to get though but it always worked for me. This is a great time saver!

But I´ve installed HARDSPL Olinex, because I already flashed other ROM´s.
How can I solve this problem?

to get into bootloader you have to reset your device while holding the volume down button!
then you will get the tri-color screen,
connect your diamond to your pc and flash a rom with a RUU!

To get into bootloader with my diamond:
1) Turn Diamond off, take out battery for 5 seconds.
2) Put battery back inside, and press and hold the centre button (circle) and turn ON the device (hold both buttons) until you see a 3 colour screen
If step 2 does not work, try pressing holding volume down while turning the device on (hold the ON button too). Remember to take out the battery before you do this.

Does this work by simply copying any ROM's nbh file (instead of radio*.nbg) to folder and executing ROMUpdateUtility.exe? Will it MTTY before flashing the ROM?
Currently I'm trying this method out. It is around at 50% of flashing progress.

It does not work the way I described. It hangs on HTC Diamond black boot screen and no red lines appears in lower right corner (no OS recognized).
So you have to flash 2 times. Radio flash is shorted for the first attempt and on the second turn you flash your ROM with CustomRUU.
There is a similiar tool like this with the method working with other devices I described above. FlashaholicRUU. Someone give it a try for Diamond. Next week I'll do it and report back.

I remember to see that post on xda developers front page short time ago, but I was not sure if it would work for HTC Diamond.
A universal task29 that would format and flash the device in one single process.
Ironically it was developed a few weeks after I have found an alternative way to mitty that I posted here.
So far I did not hear that it was compatible with Diamond, so I will not risk it.
It's nice to have all these options, because when I searched for something like this a few months ago, I could only find the mitty threat that has more than 80 posts.
For me it was strange as newer devices with very similar hardware and software already had something like this, but Diamond users had to use mitty.
Well I am glad that you like it, and hopefully I helped someone that was not able or willing to do it manually.

I think you can use SP Flash tool. I have an Alcatel One Touch 985, another mtk6573 device, and it works fine. But before you do anything, please find a way to make a backup of your ROM. On the other hand, I just needed a modified boot image to root my phone, everything else was the same. Please take a look to yuweng's threads, you could find'em very useful!

Or maybe I am doyng something wrong, but I don't manage to understand what. I try to put out the battery, then put in again, connect to the pc, the driver loads correctly, but it disconnects before anythyng can be done. So frustrating...

Have you tried an old SPFT version? I had pproblems flashing with the latest 3.x versions, used instead 2.x version and flashing was possible. It's a long shot, but could work.

got a brand new unused Vodafone V1620 (PH20B2)
i tried to install ( nk.nbf) a windows 6.1 on my old but brand new device
at first it went through and struck at 6%
dont know what is the issue
i tried mtty
i tried removing battery removing card
tried disabling wces and tried hard soft every single effort.
cant get through 6%...

i know its simple problem but cant get through
