Look at this:

Tried Bluemusic, but it failed to install because it said it's not compatible with my version of Windows Mobile (or something along those lines).

T_Mobile MDA III, TomTom 3.03 and Bluetooth headset problems

Hi,
I have problems connecting to my bt headset since I have installed TomTom3. I am running the build3500 bluetooth stack from the 1.06.02 FRA radio. It was working fine without even losing connection with the mda, but after I installed tomtom, it can pair, but cannot connect. The weird thing is that I can sync using bluetooth. I suspect tomtom is keeping busy some of the bt com ports? i noticed that during installation, it required to close bluetooth (cause it said the file BtcoreIf.dll was in use) and as soon as I did that, it finished installation, but since then the headset stopped working. Anyone has similar problems??
Thanks in advance for any input.
Update
Managed to sort it out by upgrading my BT stack to 1.0.0.3900. Still cannot find any similar complaints in any forums. Can it just happen to my MDA III? Who knows....at least it works now, even if my engineering background is not happy with it
Upgrading the bluetooth stack
Hi,
I have exactly the same problem as you had, although I'm on the UK network Vodafone and have an XDA2s.
My current radio version is 1.06.02 but I can't fine what version my bluetooth stack is. How do I upgrade to 1.0.0.3900?
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.
Hi,
I am using Qtek9090 with TomTom 3.07 and Jabra BT800 headset and have not the problems you people talk about here. I have to mention that I immediately updated my BT version from 2400 to 3900 the same day I purchased the whole stuff. I was - when I was in the shop - told that TomTom 3.07 can sometimes cause problems due to BT version of Qtek (1.0.0.2400) and I better upgrade it to 3500 and/or 3900. I was also told that there were known problems with earlier versions of TomTom wireless (like in your case TomTom 3.03) and that I (at least) had to use TT 3.07 and/or better upgrade the BT driver of my Qtek9090. In order to find your current BT version:
- Click on Bluetooth icon
- Select Bluetooth Settings
- Go to [About] tab
- And there you see your own Build
- You can also select [Advanced] button in [About] for more details
Anyway, once being at home and taking my device out of package I did a BT upgrade to 1.0.0.3900 right away and so far I have no issue with BT stack. Even Jabra BT800 which a lot people complain about works fine with my Qtek9090 (OK, I admit the CallerID at Jabra still not working but I already expected that).
I downloaded the 3900 version of Bluetooth driver (plus another Audio driver) at the following URL in The Netherlands: http://www.pdanieuws.nl/modules/mydownloads/singlefile.php?lid=37

tomtom gps
The problem is that tomtom is messing around a bit with bluetooth for bt gps receivers.
So after installing tomtom allways reinstall the latest bt drivers.
AFAIK you should always use TTN 3.07 (GPS and Navigator) on SE and Phone Edition devices (Blue Angels is both WM2003SE and Phone Edition)
Big Fat TY
I was getting stupid before reading this 3d.
Even went back to the shop with the motorola headset and had them show me it was working....
Tom Tom was the reason.

Does the WIDCOMM bluetooth stack install work with Dell Axim x51v WM6 (Football)?

I want to be able to tether my Axim x51v up to my cell phone using bluetooth so I can access the internet occasionally. I tried to install the WIDCOMM bluetooth stack and then the x51v was no longer visible by Vista's Windows Mobile Device Center. I ended up doing a hard reset and am back to the Microsoft bluetooth stack which is so limited in comparison. Anyone have any suggestions?
I am using WIDCOMM bluetooth stack install work with Dell Axim x51v WM6 (Football), I can connect to my cell phone using bluetooth and access the internet...
rolwu: can you go into settings --> connections --> usb to pc and try to uncheck 'enable advanced network functionality' and tell me what happens please? also, do you still have a 'bluetooth explorer' icon in programs? what happens if you click on that icon? just a couple of the problems that i had right off the bat with the widcomm bluetooth stack and want to see if you have them as well. it is very possible that i installed it wrong or just did something incorrectly. thanks!

Yes it works!!!!
Hi Football, are you planning to remove the old Microsoft Stack ? It would be nice to release also a Widcomm enabled ROM...
Cheers!
Football: first of all, thank you for the work you did to create the great WM6 image for the Axim x51v. You have breathed new life into my old device.
If you would not mind Football, would you please give me a link to the Broadcomm stack that you installed and instructions, or a link to a thread that provides instructions, on how to install it? For some reason the one that I installed, Widcomm (which I assume is the same as Broadcomm), did not work properly.
Oh, and do you have a paypal account Football? I would not mind sending you a small gift as a token of my appreciation for your efforts.
I went ahead and tried to install the BroadcomBluetoothStackX51V05 from aximsite (which I assume is the correct one to use) and performed a soft reset as instructed. I then made the change to the registry to set the flow control value to '0' (not sure if that is still required). However, I have a few problems using this bluetooth stack:
(a) The Axim will no longer synchronize with Windows Mobile Device Center (using Vista Ultimate). If someone can please explain how to get this working I would appreciate it.
(b) If I go into Settings --> Connections --> USB to PC, I can not uncheck the 'Enable advanced network functionality' or I get this error - "Failed to disable RNDIS to use Serial." It was suggested to uncheck this in other posts related to troubleshooting failed connections with WMDC.
(c) Programs --> Bluetooth Explorer, when launched tells me that "Bluetooth radio is turned off. Do you want to turn it on?" Bluetooth is already on but I select 'Yes' and eventually it tells me "Failed to turn on Bluetooth radio."
These are the problems I have noticed so far. Do others who are using this Bluetooth stack have the same problems with the WM6 A03 ROM? Can you synchronize with Windows Mobile Device Center?
I appreciate you help and feedback.
Hi djlenoir...
I installed the Widcomm stack from Aximsite and I also experienced same problems as you...
The '0' in the registry is not required for normal operation I think. The Hardware Flow Control must be disabled only if you connect an A2DP device to improve performance and stabilty. I'm having issue about point (c) as you and I think the BT explorer only works with MS Stack... When I tried It, also created a useless bluetooth device folder(same as CF or SD) in the file explorer wich I had to remove deleting a startup menu shortcut created by the system. Another issue is the BT Obex file transfer speed wich cannot be sustained at so high default speed (I'm having chopping between 2 and 60 KB/s. Reverting to slow speed using BTSpeedSwitcher seems to solve the problem but speed si only 28-30 KB/s. Tryed with MANY BT dongles and different PC stack (Widcomm, M$, Bluesoleil).
Cheers
Football Add The BroadCom Bluetooth Stack To Your New WM6 A05 ROM
Yes, the broadcom bluetooth stack works perfect with the X51v running Football's wm6 RTM A03 ROM. Now Football all you need to do now is add the broadcom bluetooth stack to your new wm6 A05 ROM! It's got the perfect setup for SKYPE!

I feel the opposite and prefer to leave MS BT stack since we can always install the Broadcom stack whenever we like. In fact, I found the A2DP sound quality a lot better from the original stack

With out a doubt, the broadcom bluetooth stack has better stereo sound quality, than the Microsoft bluetooth stack, that's plain to see and hear. Plus I use the broadcom bluetooth stack to make VOIP (SKYPE) phone calls but I cannot do that with the Microsoft bluetooth stack.

Read my thread in the Excalibur forum on how I installed the bluetooth Dun.cab file on my T-Mobile Dash, now I can pair both devices (my X51v and my T-Mobile Dash) via bluetooth Dun, go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=340762 and get the bluetooth Dun.cab file download and complete details, works like a charm...............!

It's only without "your" doubt. Not to mention a serious bug in broadcom A2DP (across all PDA I tested) which system volume adjustment is not working. I found my SE HBH-DS220 a lot worse than the original MS stack on x51v. (But the same handset works very good w/ my Asus P525 which also has use broadcom stack. Maybe some tweak is need...)
Since different people got different need, it's better to leave it and have the user to install broadcom stack as needed
Menneisyys And Mike Spikle Were The First To Come With The Broadcom BT Stack!

I have been using the Broadcom bluetooth stack way back before Dell ever thought of a x51v! We only had the X50v back then in those days! (Old School) Menneisyys and his friend Mike Spikle were the first ones to introduce the Broadcomm bluetooth stack and I still have the same download of their first original fix with the bluetoothspeedswitcher.zip and the flowcontrolhack.reg on both of my x51v's. I have never had a skipping problem, the stereo sound is perfect. Menneeisyys uses the Plantronics 590A bluetooth headset and I also use the same headset for that perfect stereo sound quality. Maybe, you are using a different broadcom bluetooth stack, than what we are using, because I have no problem using the volume control (high or low) again it works like a charm and always has.................!

XDA III connection Motorola S9 BT Stereo Headset

Hi all,
i had bought me a Motorola S9 Stereo BT Headset, that was working great with my Nokia N73 for calling and listening music.
But my XDA III (Blue Angel, Qtek 9090) doesnt support music streaming. Only calling. Is there a way to solve this problem?
regards
Serce
/push
in the meantime i found out, that the device must support A2DP. The Blue Angel didnt support that, but is there a new firmware avalaible with this function?
i have solved that problem by myself... just installed the cabs from this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=264537&highlight=blue+angel+a2dp
big thanks!
Wich operating system do you use? WM2003 or WM5 or WM6?
I still use (an prefer) WM2003 (with the 1.0.0.3900 BT version) and don't know, if the linked cab is compatible to my device.
i use wm2003 and works fine
