Im getting an error when connecting my Orbit to Windows XP ActiveSync,
the error code is 80072f17.
Im running the standard Windows Mobile 6 02 build.
After a quick search i believe it is to do with either the firewall or certificates. I've turned the firewall off and i still have the same problem.
so it must be the certificates... i have two which have gone out of date, both from 02

How do i solve my problem so i can connect to active sync and install the Artemis_touch_2.1_WWE ROM.

I am having the same problem, it has to do with the Exchange server having a self signed certificate, Active Sync will not connect to a self signed certificate from what I have been reading.
So the solution is to go and get a proper cert for the exchange server or find a way to tell active sync not to care, which is the option I would go for.
I have not been able to figure out how to do that yet, I find it odd as a self signed is perfectly acceptable as far as I am concerned.
Maybe someone in XDA land has a quck fix.

Please provide more information about your device, such as:
Bootloader type (SPL): You will see this when you enter the bootloader
Did flash finish correctly (eg. 100%)
Do you see tri color screen (Bootloader), or your device froze at Windows splash screen?
Add some more technical info and I am sure somebody can help you, but frankly I have no idea what error 294 is.

I'm not a tech guru like many on this forum - so I can't really help too much. BUT, I have found the error codes which seem to indicate that error 294 is an invalid vendor ID which suggests that you aren't super CID, aren't using olipro hardSPL or DES to flash with and are trying to flash a ROM which requires a vendor ID.

I have a dopod M700. it don't run into WIN (WM2005) when turn on or soft reset! i try hardreset (2-3 times) then it show "OK" but it not accept into WIN! it only run to DOS with parameter:

i try run in BOOTLOADER is OK! now, i don't do anything ( uprom or somethings)
i download 1 ROM form HTC.COM: RUU_Artemis_DOPODASIA_WWE_LOVE_1.28.717.1_INFINEON gsm4.1.13.30_02.69.90_Cmp_Ship_R! but i see my mobile is 1.29 then i don't uprom!
Please! tell me "what do i do now?"

you should go to artemis upgrading and then ask again, and just a little tip: try and write a new text, use google translate and write in your native language underneath, maybe you are lucky and someone who speaks your language can answer you. good luck

The best way to register your copy is TO PAY FOR IT.
