problem upgrading radio

please help me!!!
i have a v1640 vodafone machine.
i have downloaded the 1.09 radio version of universal sited at xda-developers ftp.
i have tried to install. at the process, a error (the country id is not correct) was showed.
next, the pda not works. i have tried to make a hardreset, but the terminal don't start's...
please, help me!!!

the main problem is :
the startup not work's and the activesync soft not detect's the pda.
help me , please !!

Just check the Wikipedia and follow exactly the instructions.

affortunatly i have readed other post.
i have started in bootloader mode and i have updated the rom to a qtek rom (1.13.74 esn).
later, i have updated the radio without problems.
now, i have the 1.13.74 esn rom , the 1.13.175 esn extrom and 1.09.00 radio software.

in my opinion, the problem was the next: the first attempt i have installed the new radio version with the pda in normal mode...
the next attempt i don't have problems and the pda was started in bootloader mode.

Hard-SPL 1.30 MFG - Oli

The new and improved hard-spl for our trinities, thanks to a little glitch in hard-spl's protecting itself against the new spl from HTC we have this new addition Olipro finished for us today. This is based on 1.05 MFG so we now have lnb capability and the rtasks. In addition of course, this SPL really should protect itself against being reflashed...
Donations to Olipro, I am only posting it...

Hi,
Can I upgrade with this tool my P3600 with original WM5 GPS activated Dutch version to WM6?
Or do I need to take other steps?
And, what's the best official WM6 rom to use for European P3600 ?

enter the bootloader and run mtty on your computer and do "task 32" - tell me what that returns.
also, tell me what version displays on the device

I run mtty with "task 32" and it return
task 32

Does this mean we don't have to worry about the SPL getting overwritten? We can just flash whatever rom without any precautions?

I have this problem and spent almost an hour trying. You will need to find an OS only ROM(Eg. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=312499) and it will flash successfully. Then you boot the PDA OS up and flash any suitable ROM.

I've removed the link for now, this is a bug in his patch and he's looking at it now. In the meantime you need to flash via SSPL or reflash the older hard-spl...

Anyone had any success with an ipaq 2410 as every attempt at it has resulting in hanging at formatting PS right at the end.

I'm having trouble to upgrade my hx2410 to WM5. I successfully connect/sync my hx2410 with my pc thru bluetooth. But the upgrade process always stops at 0% and says to reset the hx2410. I tried many time and it is still the same problem . Anybody knows what might be the problem i'm facing? I wanted to install iGuidance for PPC on it and I need WM5. Help please.

You can't update device through Bluetooth - it's impossible
You will need a USB cable or Cradle.

internal GPS stopped working with P3300

Hey I've just install WM6 on my HTC P3300 and the GPS stopped working at all and navigation software doesn't even know that there is internal GPS what can I do ? (I dont reall care if I have to downgrade to WM5 just tell me HOW) Thank You guys !!!

Ok did you read the howto flash a ROM on ARTEMIS?
If yes you probably saw a line that told you to flash twice your P3300.
It often resolve flashing problems. GPS usually use COM4
You can test with free GPS software or with Navio software.

COM Ports
I may be wrong but I seem to have a vague recollection that in the US, the original ROMs use COM9 for GPS (can anyone confirm?). Flashing to a new rom will have changed this to COM4 so you may just need to reconfigure your GPS settings in the individual applications.

Official HTC WWE WM6 SHOULD work with any P3300, that couln't be yours that is not possible to run GPS part.

There is an ARTEMIS or HTC P3300 model that have no GPS inside ? or I've just misinterpret what you said maybe you can give me a link with a refresh WM5 software the will surely work with mine ?

No, All HTC P3300 have got a GPS inside (it remember M$ pub ) only some P3300 haven't got Wifi inside.
You should forget about WM5. I said that I am pretty sure WM6 should work with your GPS.
I can give you a WM5 but it is French orange switzerland version

NO its a custom something (I dont know) but for sure not an original one please if you can send me link off and World wide English official HTC manufacturing version and i would install it ASAP

Try this...
Start -> Settings -> System Tab -> Clock & Alarms
On Time tab, make sure your time AND time zone is set correctly
Start -> Settings -> System Tab -> Regional Settings
On Region tab, make sure your region is set correctly
Start -> Settings -> System Tab -> External GPS
On Program tab, make note of GPS Program Port
Download & Install VisualGPSce
http://www.visualgps.net/VisualGPSce/VisualGPSceInstall.CAB
Run Visual GPSce
Go to Connect -> Serial port
Set Port to that in "External GPS" setting above and Click OK
If the red dot in the bottom right flashes then your GPS is ok! You may just have to wait for a lock (look for QuickGPS too).

Did you reinstall the official ROM version?

Hey when I try to install the ROM WWE after I press the update button it sends me in a white screen and than he gives me ERROR 260 means cant connect with the device what should I do
p.s. by the way my operation system is Vista so just let you know if there is any kind off significance to the subject

Try hard reset
First you can try to hard reset your device (pressing the 2 soft key and reset at the same time) You will get a message, press the green phone button. If this does not resolve your problem... you can read first post in the forum, to learn how to flash a new ROM. Does your gps ever worked ?

Ok, the best thing to do is to CID unlock your device (I thaught you already done that)
Read this Thread carefully it will explain why!http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=308242
Then use only this to CID unlock your device : http://rapidshare.com/files/119852558/Artemis_USPL.rar.html
After that reinstall the original HTC WWE ROM.

Your problems are from flashing from vista, there are a lot of threads about this, but basically you have to piss about untill you have found out how to install a bunch of old xp drivers and then no more 260 errors. When you have done that you can tell us all here just how you did it and post the drivers again because they are getting harder and harder to find.

Thanks but the real question is why wizard utility dont show a lot of information: if there is something "strange" or locked on my device, i can get unpredictable results going ahead with reflashing procedure... i think.

I have the same problem with my Universal.
I flashed it with Tomal's 8.2 without trying Wizard service tool, 'cause Uni arrived me with wm6.0, so I thought it was unlocked.
Now I'm going to flash a friend of mine original G3, and looking for how to unlock it, I found some apps that I tried on mine.
The message I receive on Wizard Service Tools is similar to yours, also when I check CID it says that the cheksum is incorrect:
