German Qtek 9000 ROM available?

Hello!
The Qtek 9000 is sold in Germany with a ROM dated middle October 2005.
Is this ROM also available for download somewhere?
Unfortunately I couldn't find it yet...
I would like to try it on my MDA Pro!
Deal!
Hey,
I'm looging to change my Qtek german ROM to an English one.
I'm pretty sure we can find a deal in exchanging our ROMs!
But you need to tell me how to extract and how to reflash afterwards.
If interrested contact me.
The english ROM is here on xda-devs-FTP
But: please before flashing your OS upload the german ROM there!
This would be my very best xmas present
Cheers
Ok for your christmas present!
Hello Cendaryn,
I just need coaching or tutorial for extracting and then flashing the ROMs.
If someone tells me how to extract I will post for sure.
And I need also help to flash the english ROM.
Thank you
Well this is my biggest problem - I know how to flash the ROMs but not how to dump them. But I guess a little search in the forum here will help
Cheers
uni_cdl-me_11238_132_10301_ship.exe ) Is this the Qtek ROm? if its not please show me the direction.
Sorry
Sorry with no tutorial I can't help.
I'm really willing to post the german ROM. But haven't a clue where to start.
Does anybody know?
Thank you.
Dumping the ROM seems to be not easy
this is what I found: [Universal] How to d2s (dump) the ROM
I can't help you because I dont have a Universal (Qtek 9000) but I'm very interested in files of this ROM too!!!

Well, you say it.
If I look the post you mention I still have no idea where to start ???
I keep on seeking for complete tutorial.
By the way, does anybody know if changing the ROM is also changing the WM language? Or do I have to change separately?
Thank you.
A ROM also includes the WM language.
Maybe this topic helps:

Near to target ... but ...
Hi,
Thank you for the links, I feel I'm very close to dump the german ROM.
But not done so far.
And I'm becoming impatient because I found the ROM I want to put in place.
Keep on helping me end pray for I resist not to flash the original german ROM.
Arrgh!
I'm going mad to find how to backup original ROM.
Don't know if I will resist any longer to flash without backup.
Would You please try to run grab_it on your Universal?
This would give us a RAW-ROM-Image.
and i need a file dump (TestWM5) of a German ROM.
but you will need a Storage Card to do this.
German ROM needed ?
Hi all,
just reading through this thread here. I have an original VDA-IV with an unchanged ROM. I am trying to convince myself to upgrade to JasJar or O2, but did not do so yet. Any wish for a dump from me ?
(Have to leave now, but am able to do so tomorrow)

Idea
Maybe, we can have it a little easier, because I think, ROM dumping is very difficult and could also be hard to flash on other devices. For MDA compact (HTC Magician) for example, you had to edit the dumped ROM with a binary editor before it worked on other devices. Also, there often were problems with some SD card readers/writers, etc.
The best way would be getting a ROM update from the vendor (e.g Qtek) as a complete EXE-File. This could be flashed on other devices with the maupgrade_noid-Tool from xda developers FTP server.
So, it would be nice of you Qtek users, if you could write an e-mail to Qtek.ch!
They offer updates for Qtek users, but you need to mail your IMEI number. So MDA Pro users are not able to get Qtek updates this way.
I'll do this.. No problem..
Any other requests??

Safety back-up of my JAMin original WM5 ROM...

Hello Guys!
I have a JAMin G4 that a marketing company gave me for a daily survey.
It's software branded by WIND (an italian mobile provider). I'd really love to flash it with a WM6 ROM but I didnt do that because I'm afraid I won't be able to restore it as it was when they gave it to me.
So...
Is there a way to back-up my original WM5 rom, flash the WM6 and, when it will come the time to give back the Jamin to the owner, flash back my original WM5?
I've tried to find the answer with the "Search" but nothing came up...
Can you help me?
Thanks in advance,
Bodhi3

wiki to the rescue
Just to be 100% sure... I CANNOT make mistakes...
Can you CONFIRM that...
1) I can back-up my original ROM
2) Upgrade to a WM6 Modded ROM
3) When I will have to give my JAMin back... Restore my original (Backed-up) WM5
Thanks,
Bodhi3
if i wanted confimation i would ask in the prohpet forum
where owners of the same device as you are more likely to read your post
and give you the confimation you seek
Thank you very much Rudegar but...I've posted the same thread on the proper section (Prophet) and still no answer... You were the only kind user that gave me a reply... That's why I asked you again...
Btw, just for my own information... do you know if this procedure is possible and reliable on (any) other model?
Thanks for your kindness and patience...

sorry never owned a prophet myself

rom flashing newbie need help!

hi, i posted this thread in the artemis thread ealier when i should have done so here instead.
sorry for my ignorance on this topic but here goes anyway.
i have an orbit that came with wm5 which i later flashed to the official wm6 via o2 upgrade website.
the only problem i have is that the new rom is taking up too much programme memory and has made the phone terribly slow.
i'd like to get it flashed with a rom that doesnt take up too much memory but the problem is that i cant find a step by step guide (for laymens like myself) of how i should do this.
what is the most stable rom available for the orbit and where can i find it from?
if i get my phone flashed via a 3rd party rom will it remove the microsoft office mobile apps from the phone? (i really need these for my uni studies)
thanks in advance.
sorry moderators for posting this thread in two forums.

Tool for backing up original Asus P750 ROM

Hi there, I tried searching everywhere but with no luck. Is there a tool I can use to backup my original ROM. I dumb that way and I was so excited when I saw Sorgs VGA ROM I forgot to backup my original one. However, my brother has the same device but still with the original ROM. I was hoping to make a backup and install it to my device. I have a problem with my joystick and I want to return it under warranty.
Thanks,
Marko
