lock device problem help! - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

I have a blue angel with WM6, it has been.... like..... 4 weeks when i upgraded, and "everything" (this means, the text messages sometime take A LOT to receive and to send)
any way, my BA works just fine, today, i synchronized my BA and Windows Activesync, so, i imported 4 pics to the memory.
I check the pics, and everything works wonderfull, i get out, i drove like... 20 minutes, i check de BA.... AND IT'S LOCKED!!!!
i mean, really locked! i can't unlock it!!!!!
please, help, anyone got and idea?
Btw, i can't figure out how to synchronize activeSync with outlook 07, all is activated, the option in AS, but i can't figure out how to do it in outlook (this is just because if i have to reinstall WM6, i don't lose all my contacts :S)
Please, really, help.
PS.- i do use search like 15 times, and it keeps throwing the same error:
"Your response to the spam question wrong blablablabla"
Thanxs!!!! many many thanxs!!!!!!! (and yes, cold and warm boot, nothing help)

done!
i don't know what was it, but i left my BA all night without the battery, i shove it in in the morning (almost 10 hrs) and it keeps locked up.
I pluged it in to the usb connector, and let it for about 20 mins. The alarms and notifications keep showing up and etc etc. I return, and voala! the unlock buttons works fine :S
Everything it's back to normal.
Thanxs in advance if anyone read the thread! mi BA is alive again.
Cya!

WM2005 post upgrade issue

I have managed to upgrade to wm2005 using toenailed & xda2jojos' guide and software. I have tried many times but I have not been able to carry out the hard reset and change what is recommended. I am left with a phone that will send and receive texts but I can't get into the phone app and it doesn't let me view contacts apart from those on the sim. Does anyone have any ideas.
Regards
Craig
wait for 5 to 10 seconds
to completly hard reset in 2005 you must press the bottons up to 5 seconds or more
then the nenu appears
Thanks very much, all sorted. That was a schoolboy error on my behalf.

Phone, contacts and calendar corrupted. Please help!

Hi there,
I upgraded my Blue Angel (Qtek 9090) to WM2005 a couple of months ago through the updates provided by this forum. It all worked out perfectly. I don't use the phone option because I have a separate cellphone which is smaller and I can carry it with me all the time. I only use the PDA at work.
Because my phone battery was running very low a few days ago, I decided to put the phone card into my PDA. Normally, every time I (re)booted, WM2005 would ask for my PIN-number and I could just press 'cancel' because I didn't have a GSM-card in the PDA.
It didn't work. "No service" was the only thing I could see but I never got to fill in my phone PIN-number, if I press the phone button or use the link in programs, nothing comes up.
I took the card out again and figured it was probably a glitch in WM2005, but not much later I discovered my calendar and contacts data are corrupted. When I start up the calendar, it says "An unexpected error has occurred in this program." and it disappears again after I press Ok.
The contacts program won't show itself at all.
In the 'today' screen, there are no references to things that are going to show in the calendar today.
Rebooting and trying the phone card again (I tried retracing my steps) did not help. Activesync 4.1 doesn't work because it cannot retrieve the data from the PDA so I cannot re-sync it from the PC.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I think I'm in deep doodoo here! :?:

Sync problems with HTC Touch requiring complete resync

Noone seems to have a solution for this so far:
What happens every other day I sync is, after a long sync time with Outlook2003 on WinXPsp2, ActiveSync 4.5 shows a msg indicating a sync error (10 min or more), and a while later on the HTC there'll be a message saying that due to changes to Outlook, need to do complete resync.
AS4.5 shows Connected and Windows PC: Attention required. On the PDA, it shows Sync date and time with Attention required at the bottom of the screen.
Ok, when I click on Attention required a window pops up "There has been a change made on your server that requires you to re-sync all items on your device....."
Support code: 80883001
And every once in a while, I belive it tries to resync. When this happens, my PDA will sound an alert and there'll a message on the PDA with Yes and No options. The message is similar "There has been a change made on your server that requires re-sync..." But it also says all changes made will be lost.
On the PC, it will show synchonising.
All data are back again after this sync, but you have to reconfigure all Touch-contacts and HTC-home-contacts and all last calls do not show the referring contact anymore.
This seems to be a WM6-Problem, not only Artemis, but I don't know where else to post.
Same problem on a HTC Kaiser (TyTN II). Weird.... Annoying as it requires all my voicetags to be re-recorded and the HTCHome quick dial icons to be reprogrammed.

I have the same problem in my kaiser. I will try the "always open ActiveSync" workaround that I found in the following URLhttps://forums.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/showpost.aspx?pageindex=4&siteid=65&postid=2384890&sb=0&d=1&at=7&ft=11&tf=0&pageid=1
Hope it works.... If anyone else knows a workaround please post a solution
Did anybody found a workaround for this problem. I believe this is a problem special to WM 6.0 , do you think this is the case? Thx

This really seems to be the ONLY solution so far - I've had the same problem with B&B 4.3 and before.
the Sync lasted for more than 10 min most of the times.
since I have Bepes 0.53 with Pagepool 6 MB - it works just fine! Sync in 1 min!
Error code 80883001
The same is happening with my O2 branded Kaiser. Seems to only do it when I've been running Sat Nav (Co-Pilot) - that might be a coincidence though
related to Sat Nav?
I returned Co-Pilot and the problem never re-occurred until today! I can narrow it down to the a freeby download that offers to sync the clock on the PDA with Sat-time. Can't remember the name as I've now taken it off. Not sure whether the two events are related, but I'm determined to narrow it down and iy just seems a spooky coincidence that the problem only came back when I installed the freeby... (Co-Pilot, I seemed to recall had an option to sync the clocks too)
i have no co pilot or some other syncing clock...
i have a diamond touch 2 and the same prob and NO workaround
i did read, not to sync email subfolder, i do not sync any email right now, error is still there.
what to do?
80883001 error
I am having same problem - when I try to sync files I get attn required. then about 1 day later I lose all changes since last sync. Any clues?
Thanks

help please, this is driving me nuts!

Stock AT&T 8525 WM6: Can't send reply email

Twice within the last week or so, something has happened, on my device I think, that prevents me from sending a reply email in Pocket Outlook. I have an Exchange account at 1and1 and have been using it with OTA ActiveSync to Pocket Outlook for nearly a year without a problem. Now, when I hit the reply button, the reply pops up, I type in my reply then, when I hit the Send key, nothing happens. If I save the reply to Drafts and then go to the Drafts folder, the size of the message shows as 0 bytes. Opening the message shows that it is, in fact, empty! The original text as well as my reply are missing. The only other symptom I've noticed is that I can't edit the original message when I'm replying. When I tap the phrase on the divider between the space for my reply and the sender's original message, nothing happens.
Like I said, this has happened twice to me in the past week. The only way I could get replies to work again last time was to hard reset my device and reload everything. When I did that last weekend, I experimented a little to try and figure out what might've caused it and, at the time, I traced it down to using the new SKTools to move my email messages to my Storage Card. "OK," I said to myself, "I won't do that again." And I haven't. But now, sometime between abougt 9:30 this morning and about 3:00 this afternoon, replies have stopped working again. What have I done to cause it to happen this time? I can only recall two things I did today:
1) I installed Opera
2) I used the new SKTools to turn off CAB deletion after installation.
Naturally, I have uninstalled Opera (no change) and restored CAB deletion (again, no change).
Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I might do to restore my ability to reply without a hard reset? If I have to reset and reload, I'll experiment with SKTools again but I'd really prefer to just know how to restore things.
I'm in the USA and have an AT&T 8525 (HTC Hermes) running the AT&T release of WM6.

Orbit stuck on green screen, need to get data!

Hi everyone!
First post, have tried to find something similar in old threads/search but had no luck.
This evening, whilst composing text messages, my xda orbit became very sluggish and slow and kept freezing, which only a soft rest would solve. After happening 6 or 7 times, the soft reset now goes no further than the green "windows mobile direct push technology" screen (the one which follows the blue o2 screen).
Active sync on the PC does not detect the phone. Have read about bootloader etc but cant seem to get past the coloured screen or get it to sync with the PC and I dont have an SD card reader.
Have tried removing simcard, SD card, leaving off for a while etc. With my contract sim the green light at the top flashes (indicating a signal?) but phoning the phone gets no reply (although it does ring, doesnt go straight to voicemail) but on my PAYG Sim I dont get the flashing light. Every 2 minutes the phone lights up brighter then dims 20 seconds later (which is what my dimmer was set to time-wise when the phone worked). I have never installed any hardware or software on top of the original defaults other than a sandisk 1gb SD card approx 1 year ago.
Now I know and have read than a hard reset may fix this (before anyone suggests it). However, I have some VERY important data on the phone which I have to retrieve (in the form of a few hundred very important text messages containing data, and a huge contact list, the backup of has been lost). The data in these texts and contact list is paramount to me.
So, is there ANY way to get this data from the phone before hard resetting to get the phone to work? To be honest i'm not bothered about the handset/phone itself working I just desperately want the data?
Any help at all would be very much appreciated (and i'm no techie by the way, just a simpleton lol!).
Thanks in advance, happy to set up some sort of Paypal reward scheme for anyone that can sort this as this data is as close to life or death as it gets without it being life or death lol!
PS: For example, is there a way of taking the phones integrated memory card out (with all the contacts and texts intact) and getting the data from it either onto a PC or into another handset?
PPS: Anyone in the South East of England who wants to earn a few quid and can sort this in person feel free to offer!
UPDATE
Well, today I switched it on and it was still the same, and again the same 5 hours later, then suddenly it perked up and everything worked!! I managed to get it to sync, copied the pim file (which I think is the contacts?) onto my PC and then it froze again. Soft reset and now stuck on green screen.
If the magical happens and it flickers into life one final time, where exactly on an orbit are all text messages stored? If I can copy the folder onto the PC, hard reset, then copy it back I should have them all?
There are a few .vol files - PIM.VOL is the contacts/calendar one, and theres another one for messages, but I cannot remember what it is called unfortunately...
OK, thankyou! There's been some more developments!
If I soft rest the phone around 5 times then leave it on the charger (even if it's fully charged) for around 5 hours the phone jumps into life! However, doing things for any length of time freezes the phone.
Added Pimbackup via activesync and it retrieves all the messages fine, but freezes at the point of eginning to add them to the SD card.
Active sync wont let me into most of the folders on the device (such as the windows folder).
So, I can get on the phone eventually but does anyone have ANY ideas as to how I can backup or transfer text messages etc?
TIA
