I'm fairly new to this and really appreciate all the excellent work done here. I've been researching for days on making my device send sound to the headset. Can someone point me in the right direction? Really would appreciate it.
I have been using Pandora's Kitchen to make new ROMs for my 8525. It's awesome BTW.
What I'm trying to do is get ALL sounds to my BT HS. Voice Commander, rings, alarms, etc. just won't do it. I was thinking there must be someway to program or direct each "category" of sounds to a specific device.
Thanks in advance.
BT
I'll reply before you get hounded about using google/wiki/search...
Search for the cab file "destination gotland bluetooth mono". Works perfectly and switches all audio to the BT headset or back to the tytn. Does not solve the Microsoft VoiceCommand issues, thats a different search and solution.
Thanks for the help... it worked.
Your assistance is much appreciated. For the record, I did research and search like crazy.
Thanks again.
Does this allow me to make the ringtones and sounds come out of my device if I have a STEREO bluetooh. I've been turning off my bluetooth in order to get rigntones to the device. I don't like having the bluetooth on my head at all times, and don't know if I go a call when the bluetooth is on because my device won't ring.

there is a workaround that enables an option to transfer regular sounds to the BT Headset....
and after fiddling around in the reistry a litte....i managed to get audio through my hbh-660 headset...BUT the connection is terminated in a couple of seconds...
as a result, i asked ccrraaazy (author of the first thread) for his registry settings, and found out that his device has BT scripts for audio transfer and voice dialling... untill i get my hands on those scripts and other dlls from the pda2, and start testing...i'm pretty sure that audio transfer and bt voice dialling will be possile by tonight....
any comments and expertese welcome.....lets make this thing work once and for all on every HTC device....
To be honest, i gave up looking to solve this problem....But looks like u may have the answer. Please do post or PM me if you have any success at all. Changing they Reg Keys with my Motorola HS-850 didnt work but i did get the option to send other auido to my headset...

after lots of changes and tweaking....nothing happened with my hbh-660....but i just tried a friends hbh-662...and it works !!! believe it or not.... will try to think of something.
Keep us posted afs84..
I really hope you get it working.. I tried to fiddle around with the registry too as described in the second thread, but I didn't get any sound at all.
I even tried a patched BT3900 from some dutch site, but no go.

Yep, I would like to have Agile or MSN send the sounds to my Jabra.
And, if possible, the calendar also.
Worked nice on my Nokia 9500 ALL the sounds, inclusive keyboard taps are sent to the Jabra.

I use the Bluetooth connection between the HTC and the Parrot and it works just fine in my car…. As far as the phone hand-free functions are concerned.
When I installed TomTom (ver. 6) on the HTC I assumed that the voice of the navigator would also come out through the car speakers connected to the Parrot.
This is not happening! The phone conversations are going through the Parrot and INDEPENDENTLY the TomTom voice comes out of the HTC!
This creates quite a mess when I am driving (while TomTom navigates) and I get a phone call: TomTom keeps on talking over the phone conversation and most of the HTC screen is covered by the “incoming phone call” notification!
Moreover the ringtone of the HTC does not seem to work when connected to the Parrot and only a very feeble chime is there to signal an incoming call.
Does anyone have a solution to fix this inconvenient situation?
Thanks in advance for the insight!
I've got the same setup as you and have the TomTom voices coming out of the phone which has been the same with my previous phones such as the SPV C550 and he HTC wizard. I think it's down to the bluetooth stack implementation on the Windows Mobile phone. My mobile mutes TomTom when I am in a call and I get a flashing mute icon shown on the TomTom screen.
One thing to try is the Jetware bluetooth extension http://www.jetwaremobile.com/ which is designed to improve compatability with the Parrot systems. It will certainly help you get the correct ringtones through the speakers, though I'm not sure if it will help with TomTom voices.

Having installed TOMTOM6 on my HTC-3300 (t-Mob branded) I am looking for a way to route TOMTOM traffic messages thru my bluetooth carkit.
Obviously the phone calls go through fine, but afaik all the pda apps. sounds only run thru the mda's speaker.
Does anyone know a workaround or reg. tweak to do this?, I can't immagine I am the only one who would be looking for such functionality.....unless everybody else uses the gps function only 4 walking
Help much appreciated,
Frans
If your car kit supports the A2DP profile for Audio over Bluetooth and you select the option to use it all the audio from TomTom will be via the car kit, check what your car kit is capable of supporting - Mike

Thanks for the tips!
My Nokia carkit does not support A2DP, it's the old CK-7W type....
I will try the above attached btaudio once more. Previous attempts using this program were not succesful, I believe the bt hardware of the artemis was not recognized.
I remember that on my IPAQ 5550 I changed a registry setting, enabling audio over BT, but I could not find such an entry in the Artemis reg.
Keep you posted on progress, and thanks sofar!
Succes!
Just tried btaudio, attached by hotatomic, and it works!!!!
Haven't tried what happens if I get an incoming call yet, but the sound for TT6 is much better using the Nokia handsfree.
Thanks!!!
Hi guys,
I'm a newbie here, and was pointed to your excellent forum from one of the Mods over at pocketgpsworld.com.
I am running copilot 6 on an O2-registered xda Orbit, using a scala rider headset, on my motorbike, and i need to install btaudio.cab to mt xda in order for the insturctions to be relayed to my earpiece. My question is this - whereabouts to do i need to upload the file to on my xda (obviously somewhere in the copilot files, but i'm not sure where!!) and do i need to unpack it first?
Any help or tips gratefully recieved!!
Welsh Biker
No transfer the cab file directly to the orbit, (storage card is usually the best place to put them).
Then in file explorer, double click the .cab file to run it and it will install the application.
It's a separate application to Copilot.

Once again, many thanks indeed

i have a orbit and i installed the btaudio cab but unfortunately it doesnt work for me. do i need to change any other setting for it to work properly? i am using a motorola hs350 headset. i am trying to use it to listen to music on my headset instead of the internal speaker. i tested tomtom6 with it and that is still being heard on the speaker and not the headset. thanks
Connect the headset to the Artemis first, then run BTAudio, switch to "on" and then minimize don't exit the program.
Have you got software that closes apps by pressing the x button or something, so that you keep switching the app off when activating tomtom etc.
how silly of me, checked settings menu, connections menu everything except the program menu!!!
Thanks a lot mate
Hi,
I seem to be having the same problem as some of the other guys. The Bt software is installed on my Orbit, I pair the phone with my car then switch the software on. At this stage the TomTom voice stops coming from the phone but doesn't come through the handfree either. If I switch the software off again the sound returns to the phone.
Is this being caused by the format of the handfree kit in my car as mentioned on the first page of this post?? How would I positively confirm the format of my handsfree kit?
Cheers
Rob.
i try to install and it works, but when i turn on audio my radio goes in mute, is possible to send the sound only when tomtom talk?
Hi all
I also need help with audio features. Is there an app that will send all audio through the head phone socket (connected to autocom on motorbike) and phone calls through bluetooth have tryed the app in this tread but it wont split it only redirects all audio?
PS sorry for the high jack of your thread just seemed a good place to ask this.
Ok so it seems to be a pretty universal feeling that the bt does not work well on the Hermes. I personally am having trouble with filesharing.
So i searched (forum and google) and found different threads for different bt stacks, but I want to know what is a solid, stable, well-working one I can put on my phone?
I was under the impression that the BT stacks were pretty well intertwined with the ROM making them all but impossible to mix and match. But then I haven't really tried myself, so don't let me rain on your parade.
If anyone would know the answer to this question, it would be Sleuth. He is best man for tweaking BT that I know of. BTW, I haven't had any trouble BT filesharing (assuming you mean objectpush?) with SuperD-Lite. What are you trying to share with?

Oh i see. Im not very knowledgeable about how bt is incorporated and all.
Well I've had trouble finding, linking to, and sending files to my bro's phone (it sometimes works, sometimes doesnt). First he had an LG CU500, now its a Blackberry 7130c. Same with each. I've tried the "file explorer to find file and select 'beam file'" method and Dr. Yar's bluetooth app. Working bt isnt life or death for me, but it was always handy to share a ringtone, etc.
I just tried again with the blackberry. I went in with file explorer, chose a small mp3 on my storage card to send, chose "beam file", waited till his device showed up, clicked on it, and then it said "failed". Is anyone else having similar issues?
EDIT: Ok so now i go and find my old Razr cuz i know bt works on there, and lo and behold it sent! I guess its sometin about the blackberry. Although im still interested in if htere are any ways to improve/upgrade bt.
There was development underway on the Widcomm Stack nearly a year ago... check out this from the wiki Hermes Widcomm Stack I think you will find your answer there.
...and yet I find this stack 10000% better than what was on my 6700.
Especailly with my Audi, the BT never turns off when the phone goes to sleep and all my contacts show up in the HID.
It has been perfect so far!
I had issues with Bluetooth when I was using the latest official WM5 release for my Cingular 8525. None of my Bluetooth headsets would stay connected or even paired. But since upgrading to the "official" AT&T WM6 ROM, Bluetooth works just fine!
I have had very little if any BT issues using vp3G's 3.0 ROM. Very happy but waiting for 4.0!
I'm on Schaps 3.54c and my 8525 has been perfect with my Parrot3300GPS in my car. The parrot picks up battery, signal, contacts, etc. No problems. I wish my Wizard behaved that well.
Looking for a way to hit the mic button on the wired headset that comes with the TyTn to dial a number with a voice tag. I am using the leaked official WM6 rom which has the cyberon voice dialer working. What I haven't been able to do is launch the voice dial using the button on the mike. Even AE button mapper cannot pick it up as a button to be configured.
To do my homework, I searched using 8525, headset button, config, etc. but a) I got hits for other phones (ba, etc) and b) got a lot of posts on how to set up bluetooth phones, which doesn't apply in this situation. I found this cab ba_wm5_voice_dialer.zip but it didn't install complaining about insufficient rights, which I had never seen on a pocket pc. Maybe because it's for WM5.
Any help or links to previous threads on this would be appreciated. Right now, I have to take the phone out of my pocket to dial, which kind of defeats the purpose. Many thanks in advance.
I have no idea whether this helps or not but I remember this as a big topic on the Wizard when it first came out and there was this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/sho...highlight=voice+dial+headset+mic+button+wired I'd be interested to know if you get anywhere
Well, I tried those - thanks for the link. I get no feedback after I run the program whatsoever, so I guess it doesn't work. It does run though, since if you run it twice, it gives you energy levels- that much works, but the rest doesn't seem to.
I'm surprised dialing with the wired headset isn't supported out of the box since it's a part of the package, but oh well. I hope someone else has heard of something about this for the tytn.
