I'm having a wierd problem that I could use some help with.
I upgraded to VP3G's 3.6 version of WM6 on my AT&T 8525. Very nice ROM, BTW. When I make a call using my Blueant Supertooth II handsfree speaker, I can hear it ring but the moment the call is picked up, the call goes back to the 8525 earpiece. I can quickly switch by hitting Menu and Turn Hands-free On but I have to devote attention to the device to do so. The entire point of having the speakerphone is to not be as distracted while driving.
Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix?
I have searched the Internet and these forums for a solution and have yet to find one.
TIA!!

So get this, I was on the phone, using my BT headset. Suddenly the connection is dropped from the headset and the call is now being routed through the phone. After 2 minutes suddenly the call goes back BY ITSELF mind you, on the headset. 2 minutes after that back in the phone, then back to the headset then back to the phone and so on... Since it was an international call I didn't have time to get pissed, but I kept the phone in my hand and the headset on my ear and I would switch as the voice was being routed.
I've read all of the BT related issues out there as well as the possible solutions... nothing I've tried works for me.
I love the BA but this BT thing is ****ing frustrating!
Any light you guys can shed into it would be greatly appreciated.
1. Is it possible to have the BT headset announce incoming calls but still have the phone ring with Voice Command 1.6?
Seems like it's an all or nothing deal so far... either ring and announce through the BT headset (by selecting "Announce Incoming Calls") or ring and announce through handset... Notifications work fine though. The handset would play the alert then the BT headset will announce the reminder. (See here for more details.
2. My BT headset and handset don't automatically re-pair after returning in range or resetting the handset. Anyone else experiencing this?
Everytime I walk out of range or reset my phone, I would have to turn off my headset then turn it back on for the two to pair back up. I sometimes forget and when I hear the handset ring, I pick up w/ the headset only to find that they're no longer paired. Is there a way to have the two automatically pair back up? I never had this problem when I was using AKU3 roms and the stock Cingular 2.25 ROM.
This problem I am having seemed to start with WM5 AKU 2.3 and is still happening to me in WM6. If someone calls me, and I push the button on my bluetooth headset to answer, my ringtone plays for about a half a second to the person calling me. They usually complain about a loud noise when I answer the phone. I have discovered if I push the answer soft key on my phone instead, it doesn't play the ringtone, but it takes a little longer for my headset to pick up. This happened with my old headset (Plantronics Discovery 640) and my current headset (Jawbone). Has anyone else experienced this problem? If there was some way to adjust the delay for when the headset picks up, I think it would fix this problem because when pressing the key on the phone to answer there is a delay, but when pressing the button on the headset, there isn't.
Thanks...Brian
I'm sorry if this has been asked in the past, but I was wondering what happens to your navigation screen when a phone call comes in or when you need to place a call? Now it would be nice not to be doing several things at one time, but if a call comes in while you are trying to navigate, doesn't the call menu come on screen? How do you suppress that? Just wondering as I am looking to get a TP2 via AT&T. Thanks.
Dunno about other kit, but my copy of TomTom6 produces a popup on my iPAQ hw6915, and all I hace to do is answer the call (I use a BT headset with it when driving to stay roadsade as much as possible). The voice directions from TomTom remain muted while the call is in progress, by the way.
hi
While using GPS (GARMIN XT), the phone screen appears in case of incoming call.
I always use my bluetooth earphones while using GPS.
GPS voice will be thru the speaker and call on bluetooth.
After the call, the screen turns back the the GPS view automatically.
Hi,
I wanted everybody to be aware of this issue.
When you use a Jawbone Prime with TouchPro2, on every other handset, you can disconnect the call on Jawbone by pressing the send/end key on the Jawbone.
This function of using the end key on the Jawbone does not work on the Telus TouchPro2.
I have gone through troubleshooting with Jawbone, still have same issue.
HTC sort of seems to be aware and will not troubleshoot.
Telus Data support were useless, no troubleshooting.
I believe this may be just an issue on Telus model, HTC was not aware of issues with T Mobile version or European versions.
I will also post to PPC Geeks and XDA developers as well.
Does anyone have a solution/reg edit that will solve this issue?
Dave
same issues w. verizon tp2 and jb prime
verizon tp2. unable to end call from jb prime. voice command, volume toggle, last call commands all work from jb prime. Just can't end a call from headset...
VZW TP2 has many BT Handsfree Bugs
Have similar problems with 2 Motorola headsets and Jawbone on VZW TP2. BT Handsfree has many issues --
1) cannot end calls from headset
2) cannot consistently access voice command.
3) Voice command reads sms and email headers aloud over the handset speaker when set to speak to BT headset only.
4) Dialer touch tones come out of phone speaker instead of headset.
5) Touch screen numeric pad goes blank after ~1minute on a BT handsfree call.
6) And then there is the irritating alert that BT headset disconnected so I should put the phone to my ear -- as if I didnt know I shut the thing off myself or could no longer hear a call! I wish at least that alert could automatically clear after 5 seconds.
I filed a support request for 1-5 with VZW earlier today. Forgot about #6 until moments after I ended the call and turned off the headset. VZW rep gave me HTC Tech Support phone number. Will call them Monday AM!
I had no issue using the JB2 on TMO. I just ordered the JB PRIME and i am helping its the same.
I'm having the same issue with the HTC Ozone. No call/end button, no redial, and no voice command. However, if I reboot the phone, everything works just fine! But then, almost at random, it just stops working again... Any ideas??
If this is anything like my aging Hermes I wouldn't expect a fix from HTC ever
Its depressing to know 3 years later it still seems impossible to get a phone with working ms vc and the kicker is this phone comes with it.
