i wish to start translating roms for our community here, i would start with the tmob aku 3.3 german rom since some people would want it in english and dutch for my dutch board friends over here.
I have the darkforce rom in dutch and since for the universal never a dutch official rom was released i think there must be some guide or somebody who can give me a start on this
Anyone has some experience on this , i dll the lang v2.1 and reshacker and have lots of "hobbytime"
Also my girlfriends speaks german and would help me on a usable translation.

In a ROM you would need to change the *.mui files according the languages
Like "shellres.dll.0407.mui" (0407 for German) to "shellres.dll.0409" (0409 for English)

There are several Italian ROMS. You must search.......
i know...but i see many people that release italian cooked roms...but i cannot find the original (not customizaed) wm6 ITALIAN rom

Hi,
there is not an original WM6 for Trinity.... the O.S. is extracted by other device.... and adapted for Trinity....
A lot of work to translate all.... a lot of work and time to cook a ROM.... I've tried to do it... but at the moment i'm not be able to do....
Refer to UDK, Ervius and Guybrush.... they are a wonderful cook....

pick up all muis from last p3300 italian rom,
translate all rgus and see the differences between initflshfiles.dat of original and italian ones!!

The only way I know of is that you have to flash a new rom.
Luckily for you there are official Italian ROMs, but no cooked ones (maybe some of the older Schap's ROMs is in Italian, but none recent). You can change the ROM language in two ways - localization software pack (though I do not know if there is something like this available for Italian users) and flashing a new ROM.

Before all the "there is a search in this forum" guys will come out, I searched not only this site but every available site but with no clear solution to something that should be clear.
I got Asus a686 from Russia and it has a Russian WM6. I want to change it to an English one.
1. how can i do it? I need an English rom and i dont have it.
2. Will rom of a696 fits a686?

Helo guys,
Ive been reading and reading here for a week now, im totally new to this.
I flashed my rom with the new bEpe firmware, its awsome! Much better than my stock Swedish.
Just one question. Is it possible somehow to get the swedish language back modifying the phone? Or are i in need for a new firmware with swedish language from bepe?

If you want Bepe's ROM in Swedish, than you must ask him. Because it is (alomst) impossible to reconstruct his rom(his way of cooking). But for now, he only makes the languages available are in his post, because it still is a beta rom(you don't make beta roms available in 10 languages, a lot of work)...so maybe later he will or wait until other cookers make a swedish rom

Hi ,i´m from brazil and (my english is not perfect) and i want to learn how to translate rom to portuguese.

If your doing it from a rom that is already on your phone, I'm not sure.
If your doing it from a kitchen, you will need to change all the folders and files with 0409 (english) to the one for portuguese. I'm just not sure of the numbers.
Maybe someone with porting experience will be able to chime in.
