took old tmobile blue homescreen did some editing and came up with this used the background from staulkor's from howard so kudos but i did edit the screens to work nicley here is a pic for some reason the one from staulkors kept showing the myfavs bubbles on screen so all i did was use the same background and edited the tmobile blue.xml to look like this first one i did so im still trying to figure out how to do this also have the black scheme to go with if anyeone is interested. what you all think??
i like it, i especially like how the carrier, time, and date are spaced out nicely. That's one thing that most homescreens lack
Um dude, this screen is old. I have had that for months. Someone else posted it a long time ago. Its called Black Dask.
really all i did was i found the one posted under black jack but for some reason myself and others the myfaves keeped turning on so all i did was edit the t-mobile blue xml and added the background from blackdash in it there where some commands where missing in the blackdash theme i downloaded like i said it came from staulker i belive none the less thanks for letting me know
i still like it lol
Hi - where to get it from? I like it very much, but here there is only a thumbnail attached, right?
Is also the calling dialog customized with these files?:
HTC_BrandingBrickImg_320x27
HTC_CallProgressBkg_320x186
HTC_WallpaperImg_320x240
I never seen a homescreen for s620 with that customized images.
So the result is e.g. grey theme, but still the default green calling dialog images.
You might like this one (I made it):

enjoy!
thank you guys! it's nice!
do you know, how to make it that I don't have that green graphics on the calling application after I installed the new homescreen (see thumbnails)?
Thanks its great, and the green call screen can you change by jeyo personalizer whith another one
Thanks a lot, and the green screen can you change whith jeyo personalizer, to anyone
Can you make the Windows Basic layout in Grey ?
use this to change the dial pad operator from the green htc to this just install the cab and i think you'll like it just reset the device after install
save to storage
install
reset
and dial out and see

You mean Black Dash?
http://www.howardforums.com/archive/topic/1030034-1.html
he does mean black dash one problem when i installed it was my favs kept turning on and so i took it edited it changed the sheme and came up with what i have
Hi folks,
My device is off being repaired to cure the screen alignment issue but while I am waiting for it to return I was wondering if there was a way to stop the HTC green theme being applied to the device after I do a hard reset?
I would like just the plain WM6 default theme.
I have read about this thing called ExtROM, which is where the operator install files are hidden? So this is where the evil green theme lives until it gets installed?
Can anyone tell me if this is possible?
FYI I have a generic HTC, sim-unlocked TyTN.
Thanks,
gambcl
Um well you can do a search on google and find millions of PPC themes the green theme is just the default one set by the Preconfig.txt WM6 also comes installed with a blue theme and a red theme BTW they are called .tsk files
Umm, yes I know about .tsk files, but they do not get rid of the HTC green skin on the dialer, pin screen, etc. do they?
I was thinking the cleanest solution was to just stop the HTC green from ever being applied in the first place by maybe deleting the relevant install files from the ExtRom and then doing a hard reset.
Does anyone know if this is possible? I've never touched the ExtRom before, I know I have to unlock it and I can read about that, but what exactly would I do after I have unlocked it?
Thanks,
gambcl.

For the screen commmanager try disable this file in extended: Green_Commger.CAB.
For the dialer take a look at ZombieNexus dialpad. I use one 3G dialer to subst the green one in HTC.
For the pin pad, try one of the CABs in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=321733 Youll have a black touch pinpad after install one of them, and of course the battery icon with detailed info
Hopes this helps.
This is exactly what I would like to know too. How to disable the green theme to load after hard reset.
I like the base blue theme, but that green theme changes the dialers etc.
Don't want other themes to replace them. Just to disable it not to load after hardreset.
I see that it loads a xml file that was named based on the theme, I just don't remember it atm. maybe I'll just have to fiddle with the extrom.
If anyone already has a working solution, please post it

Sorry, but the gree colors in pinpad is caused by a DLL in the ROM, not by some CAB installed after the HR. So you can only chage this changing this DLL.
About the DialPad, well, seemed as before, but with a lot of graphics files. You need a theme to change the green color and bottons (graphics files). Can't disable after HR. Only you can disable the default skin in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Phone\Skin making Enabled parameter to "0"
but you loos the 3G dial and SmartDialing. If you have 0 by default in this parameter, then you can't do more.
The only one i could disable is Green Commanager in the extended.
The other way to customize all this is, of course, cooking your own ROM
Regards.
I was just looking for a little advice on how to move some of the items on the sliding panels.
All I want to do is change the order of them, instead of having Missed Calls - Voicemail - Text Messages - Email, I would rather have it as Text Messages - Email - Missed Calls - Voicemail.
What would I need to edit this? What file? Where?
Do I need any specific software or can it be done with something like notepad2?
.G.
as far as i know you cant modifiy the order...atleast not yet. I could and proabably be wrong

Sorry, but it's not possible to do that with the current knowledge we have of the panels. Maybe later... who knows...
What about getting it to have dark text, or dark graphics? I would really love to be able to do something with some lighter homescreen backgrounds Im working on.

yeah man, goto home screen > Color scheme > Text: black
I Havnt Tested Rickys V9 And Below(but In Version10 For Sure)
In Your Settings-homescreen-color, You Can Select Black Or White Text, I Doubt This Changed The Start Bar Color But I Didnt Pay Attention... (also, Play Around With The Settings And Everything Else On The Phone...i Found Different Clock Options And Im Extremely Happy With This Version!)
could this be added to chome
Im on Ricky's v.4 at the moment, I was wondering what the technical method was of adding the black text, so I could preload it into a color scheme, appropriate to a given default wallpaper, button color, etc.

Hey you, black text? see attachment
extract...you know where it goes
AH, I get it now. I had been meaning to flash when I convenienly frozed my phone. It adds the black (or, white) text to the last picked color scheme. Nice!
Okay, now how do I mod the panels to black, and the icons in the top left corner of each? any starting spot? I didnt find anything that looked like a good lead in the .cpl or the .home...
Thanks, gang.
for the order of items in the panel, this might be useful:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2068381
not sure if this is true for all but whenever I set the text on a theme to 000000 it comes out jagged so i would suggest using 222222 or 111111...dark enough and not jagged.
I'm tempted to make a new thread, but this so seems like the right place. I've got the text themes working. Very well. I now can make my home screen a dizzying mess!
I am sure there is a way to make the panels themselves dark. Is it in a .dll in \windows? I cannot get some of them to copy, like, all the onse I want to pick at. Not that I am sure that my skills with ResHack are up for it. Anyone else interested?
I've got your chomebar.zip, now i am trying to integrate it.
Three question that i cant seem to find the answer by searching.
Can I use AdvancedConfig on the Excalibur, or is there a program similar to it that is compatible with the Excalibur?
and...
After installing Kavana's ROM, i have red info text on my HTC Boot screen. Is there any way or setting to remove that red text so I have a clean HTC Logo on boot?
and finally...
Is there a way to disable the flashing green "network" light on the ear piece?

1) If AdvancedConfig is anything like CHome Config, then the answer is yes. I don't know exactly what kind of program AdvancedConfig is. CHome Config allows you to edit the sliding panel order and the separate slides in the CWelcome Center panel.
2) I have no clue... If you haven't made too many customizations, you might consider reflashing the ROM. There's a thread around somewhere in which a user had this same problem (it may have been you). I can't remember the name of the thread though...
3) Yes, there is. In fact, there's a hack that'll let you make the service light blink as a result of different actions (i.e. new voicemail message) Just get on Google and type in "T-Mobile Dash+registry hacks" or "T-Mobile Dash+registry tweaks". Something should come up.
Thanks for the help, ill see if i can find some of that stuff.
BTW, AdvancedConfig is a tweaking app for the TyTN II. Kinda like KaiserTweak.
Anyone knows how to change the blue image that appears on top when you press the call button that says "smartphone" in Kavana's WM6.1 080408??? Or where to drop an image with the same name so I can replace it??? If so, what's the image name...
No Problem!

All you need is a pic you want to change this to. Rename it cprogback_land.png and drop it into your Windows folder. This will help you avoid messing with you registry. I have a sample one below that you can use. It has the numbers that correspond to the letters on a dial pad, so if you want to dial 1-800-BelowMe, you would know what numbers to hit from your screen's background. There are some threads that you can search for as well that are devoted to this discussion.
Dialing a number screen
Hey thanks man, I really appreciate your help, but that image is the call status background, I've already did that and it worked when I wanted to change it. The image I'm talking about appears when you're dialing a number, above the space where the numbers are written, when I had my Dash with WM6 there was a bar with the HTC logo on it, I want to put that image there. I'm attaching it so you can see it...
Will this do?
Bar on the top...
Well, I don't know if that's the background image in the dialing screen in your phone but thanks anyway. I'm attaching a picture that shows the screen I'm talking about, actually, is a picture of WM6 but instead of the bar at the top with the HTC logo, in Kavana's ROM appears a blue one with SMARTPHONE to the left, I'd like to change that bar for the one I posted before...

Hey man, thanks for the thread, they solve the issue of the small banner that says "smartphone" but put some numbers there, I just want the original banner from HTC with the logo on it instead of the "smartphone" banner...LOL!!!
Restore HTC banner on the dial screen
So, there's no way to restore the HTC banner on the dial screen instead of the one that says smartphone on the right? Somebody knows how to do that without using any .cab file? Just replacing it by renaming the picture for example...

Check this out man. I got tired of reading the posts that try to help you, so instead I just made a cab for you to install. You will have to reboot your phone, but it will do exactly what you want.
