broadcomm BT Stack on Cavalier?? - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hi,
Has anyone managed to get the Broadcomm BT stack working on the HTC Cavalier (aka Dopod C730, aka HTC s630)??
I've tried a few, and none of them have worked at all.
Alternatively, we are trying to connect to the 'incoming' serial port on the Cavalier, but can't seem to figure out which port it assigns as incoming. We tried all serial ports after making a partnership and none of them work.
Desperate for some assistance... thanks!

i-mate jasjar not work with parrot ck3300 gps

help me
I have a Imate Jas-Jar windows mobile 2005. A new version of GPS Nav-N-Go was released for WM 2005 I installed it and it doesn't work! It doesn't recognize my GPS on the Parrot CK3300.
I talked with the Nav-N-Go developers and they told me that the Nav-N-Go works with 9 GPS antenna's. It seems to me that the problem is in the definition of a communication "COM port".
Please help me to solve this problem. Is there a way to define a "COM port" for GPS in the CK3300

JasJar & TomTom5 using a Parrot 3300 for GPS & Phone
I also have a Jas Jar badged as an Orange SPVM5000 and have similar problems. I am not a techie by any meands but I do not think the problem is with the Parrot 3300.
The Bluetooth pairing connects Parrot and Phone.
Setting the com port is identifying where the incoming gps signal is made of available on the phone.
TomTom5 is the sat nav software I use and it seems only to work by connecting to certain com ports. Unfortunatley, the phone does not like assigning the connection to this port.
Elsewhere on this site there are instructions which allowed me to pair the phone with another GPS BT reciever I use when out and about.
The same procedure will not work with pasiring the parrot.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can pair with the Parrot to get the phone and gps working?
You may find some answers here -- worth a try, anyway.

BT activesync problems. Please help

Hi,
I have the Orange SPV M2000 with TuMa 1.3 rom set onboard. I'm trying to get my device to talk with my new Macbook using third party software from The Missing Sync. It is listed as working with WM2005 devices such as M5000 but i cannot get it to work with my BA. It seems to revolve around its inability to list activesyncing via BT as one of the BT services available. I have been in touch with the Missing Sync guys but no joy as yet. Any thoughts here?
The process sugested by Missing Sync is to set up a new BT partnership via the activesync tool on the BA. The two devices recognise each other and even seem to pair but after that no joy. Apparantly Activesync should be listed as a BT service but it isn't...
Really appreciate any help on this one.

BT com port problem in HTC official WM6-CHT

I upgraded my Hermes to the Dopod WM6 (CHT dated 20070712)
Everything is fine, and the BT works.
However the COM port page in the BT configuration is blank, and I cannot add outgoing and incoming COM port to my BT devices.
Thus my BT phones works but without AVRCP, and I cannot ActiveSync via BT to my Laptop.
Anyone experienced the same, and have a way to fix it?
Thanks!

Serial Port but no Activesync?

I'm pretty sure i have everything setup on the pc right. Serial port is configured in WIDCOMM drivers as COM5. Activesync is setup to listen for COM5.. but on the ppc all i see is a serial port selection in the bluetooth mgr and not activesync.. Anyone have any tips to get it working correctly?
It isn't real clear from your post, but I assume you are trying to set up bluetooth sync.
Some avenues for you to explore:
Have you set up a partnership through USB connection? If not, this should be first on your list of things to do.
Have you paired the devices? Turn your PPC to discoverable in bluetooth settings and have your PC search for new devices. The wizard should pick up the PPC and walk you through the pairing process.
Does your bluetooth module support the correct services? Older bluetooth dongles and radios might not support syncing pim info.
I have the exact same Problem.
Did everything like it is described here in the forums. Firewalls and antivir deactivated. Used the right COM ports. Settings in Active Sync match. Pairing successful. The WIDCOMM-Driver even renames the Serial Port to ActiveSync after pairing. But even after all that, if I'm trying to get a Connection from my phone by using the ActiveSync on my phone with "connect via bluetooth", I cannot see ActiveSync there, just Serial Port. Switching on the Beam (like in some boards suggested) had no success either.
I tried reinstalling all. I tried my desktop PC and my Laptop (same problem). ActiveSync does know the XDA when I'm using a cable. I tried deleting the profile and create it again. I tried the Microsoft bluetooth stack instead on my laptop. I tried using another COM-Port. I tried deleting the pairing from the registry on the phone.
I have a XDA Neo / HTC Prophet with WM6 ProphetTouchIX, an Anycom BT-200 Bluetooth Dongle with WIDCOMM based driver. WINXP SP2 with the newest Security updates and Active Sync 4.5.
If anyone has any new suggestions, please post them here. If you have the exact same problem, post here, what you've tried to solve it, maybe we can at least find out, what's causing it.
found this one here:

seems to be the same problem.
if you have Touch IX installed, you need the bluetooth fix from here:

worked for me. Give it a try!

BT SAP can't access my SIM card ?

Hello
I've got HP Ipaq 914 running WM 6.1. I read lot of articles here how to make rSAP protocol working on WM6.1. My intention is to use it with Passat premimum phone kit.
After installing several versions of BT_sap.cab I'm finaly able to see my device once I do device search from the car kid. Ufortunately I can't pair it with my phone. I see error message on my Ipaq saying that connection to SIM card failed, please try again when phone is ready.
does someone have an idea how to fix it ? is the SIM blocked somehow ?
thx.
same here, did you find a way out?
Thanks a lot
Oliver
Frankly, I gave up. I use HTC Diamond 2 now - and I'm relay satisfied! RSAP works well with my premium car set.
