ms voice command with BT - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro Accessories

hello
i have a spv m5000 (qtek 9000) with a handset bluetooth Motorola H700 and i woild like to command my phone with ms voice command. I have do the registry but it doesn't work
someone can help me ?
thank you

You may want to run the 15 day free trial of jetware Mobile BT hands free extension. This has fixed all my BT compatibility issues on my Qtek 9000 and Dopod U1000 and both have run MS voice command and/or Cyberon with success.

Thank you for this soft !!!
I have install it but it doesn't work .
I cant give ordrers with my handset :'(

Try Start>Programs>BT Options>Menu>Advanced Options and try with the check box for Voice Dialing (using OEM Dialer). I don't have my Uni with me today but I can check out the configurations and let you know tomorrow.

That what i did .... and it work now, i had to do a soft reset.....
But now, when i give an order to my spv, the handset don't stop and i heard a little noise into ..... do you know why ?
thank you for this soft, its the only who works....

i-mate pocket pc

What a fantastic site. The pda is so incredibly clever and on the i-mate site I have recently upgraded the rom version which includes a radio upgrade.
Can anyone explain if it will be possible to upgrade the telephone to have the voice activated facility that allows you to speak in to a bluetooth handsfree kit and set up a unique number to get the telephone to dial automatically ?
I know that in Canada and the USA Microsoft have a new ?? [not really new now] product called Voice Command which I can't wait for which will allow you to do all kinds of amazing things with the telephone, the appointments and other parts of the pda which will make it much safer to use on the road.
The only poor part of the upgrade from i-mate [i-mate.com] is I am sure that the Bluetooth Navman 4100 GPS unit and the GPS TomTom3 software are 'hanging' more often which is annoying - any suggestions please ?
Than you for an excellent site.

I was using MS Voice Command on my iMate PPC Phone edition. It wasn't a very happy marriage. My iMate would hang to the point where it needed a hard reset about once every or every other week. After a call to iMate tech support and removing the MS Voice Command as suggested, my iMate is much much more stable. Prior to using MS Voice Command with the iMate, I was using it with a T-Mobile PPC Phone Edition. It worked flawlessly. So based on that and other similar experiences (SimCity2000 worked on the t-mo device but not on the iMate) I can't help but suspect the iMate for not being terribly compatible with several different software titles.
Thanks for your information about the voice command - really sad to hear the i-mate doesn't work with it - I won't buy it !
Kind regards
Vito
Why don't you try Vito Voice Dialer PE ?
Guys what are you talking about !! Can't you see that everyone of you is using different ROM!!! But the hardware is still the same !! HIMALAYA.
Imate,XDA2,T-Mobile MDA2,Qtek2020... has the same hardware!
Microsoft Voice Command works with WM2003. It is good as long as the quantity of contacts you have is limited. In larger quantities, confusion starts! (besides the fact that you have to pronounce the names in a typical american accent)
Vito Voice Dialer has 2 different phone edition versions (one for XDA and one for XDAII). Each number has to be trained, but then you can use nicknames and aliases, and it works.

BT headset voice dailing

I am getting a little worried here.
It is advertised everywhere that the xda IIs has voice dial, which to me reffers to me talking into a bt headset and it calls that contact.
If this is not possible, can fonix ispeak sort it?
The device comes with fonix voicedial software, but it does not work through the headset. I have my MDAIII mounted on the windscreen in the car and manage to use voicedial to make calls with over 90% accuracy and then talk through my jabra bt headset.
Which unit do you have PDA2K or IIs? I haven't seen any postings yet comparing the two devices, O2 may have addressed some BT issues before launching the IIs.
I won't have one (IIs, already have PDA2K) till next week.
getting the 2's next week. new officail date is the 15th nov. so should recieve it on the 16th
So what does it take to make this work? is it impossible. Can we not do something?
it take it that this product is using the mic hardware and not bluetooth mic?

Anyone come acrross this before: (scroll down to Kai’s Bluetooth Headset Patch 2004 )
http://www.pocketpcmag.com/_archives/sep04/bluetooth.asp
could something simular be done on the xda's
Or is this something where only ever going to get to use with bluetooth v2?
read this an help me please

Its good to see progress being made but the main problem still is a hard ware based. The mic and speaker in phone hardware need to be bridged with the ppc... which gets me thinking.....as we can speak into ppc and listen to the caller then once we BT the call it was bridge/switch it.... dont understand why something so simple and a much required feature is missing :?
Hi,
I have installed the trial version of MS command and it seems to be doing the trick... I have a qtek 9090 and I did not see any installed software for voice dialing... Is it only on PDA2K?
Thanks.

MS Command doesn't support bluetooth headsets either.
From the MS blurb: "Bluetooth Headset Support - Voice Command does not support using a Bluetooth headset to initiate a voice command but you can use a Bluetooth headset during the phone conversation."
So its the same as fonix. You have to speak the dialling command into the device, and it only transfers to the bluetooth headset when the device starts dialling out. If you can put up with that, fonix works pretty well.

Well as much as I was looking forward to getting a PDA2K or SX-66, I feel that this is a MAJOR drawback that has me thinking twice. I read that your cannot initiate VOICE calls using a BlueTooth headset no matter what software you are running. Is this accurate?
If so, then why can the Audiovox SMT5600 do it by the way of voice tags?
Thanks,
Frank
Previous ms smartphones and pocket pc phones have not supported the bluetooth handsfree profile which would allow voice dialling. Since the new devices now support it its up to the software developers to implement it in their software. For example, using my SE HBH-200 on my imate PDA2K i can initiate voice dialling on the headset but on the imate there is nothing to interface with. If the Audiovox can do it there is no reason why a more powerful pocket pc cant do it as well

Voice commands and recognition..

Hello all,
I saw that is alot of voice recognition/commands software are spead around the world,
Which program are best to work with SPV M2000 (2003SE) ?
Does anyone can suggest please?
The new microsoft voice command.V1.5 i think?
I am also very happy with Microsoft Voice Command 1.5 US - tried some of the others but I will stick to VC.
But you can't activate a voice-dial from a bluetooth headset (you have to press a button on the handset) *and* it won't listen from the mic in the headset either. It's pretty infuriating.
LONG SHOT: Has anyone hacked the bluetooth stack to allow this?

HTC P3300 and PARROT CK-3100

I use the Bluetooth connection between the HTC and the Parrot and it works just fine in my car…. As far as the phone hand-free functions are concerned.
When I installed TomTom (ver. 6) on the HTC I assumed that the voice of the navigator would also come out through the car speakers connected to the Parrot.
This is not happening! The phone conversations are going through the Parrot and INDEPENDENTLY the TomTom voice comes out of the HTC!
This creates quite a mess when I am driving (while TomTom navigates) and I get a phone call: TomTom keeps on talking over the phone conversation and most of the HTC screen is covered by the “incoming phone call” notification!
Moreover the ringtone of the HTC does not seem to work when connected to the Parrot and only a very feeble chime is there to signal an incoming call.
Does anyone have a solution to fix this inconvenient situation?
Thanks in advance for the insight!
I've got the same setup as you and have the TomTom voices coming out of the phone which has been the same with my previous phones such as the SPV C550 and he HTC wizard. I think it's down to the bluetooth stack implementation on the Windows Mobile phone. My mobile mutes TomTom when I am in a call and I get a flashing mute icon shown on the TomTom screen.
One thing to try is the Jetware bluetooth extension http://www.jetwaremobile.com/ which is designed to improve compatability with the Parrot systems. It will certainly help you get the correct ringtones through the speakers, though I'm not sure if it will help with TomTom voices.

MS Voice Command 1.6

Hi guys,
First of all - I'm very glad to be here. On the last few days I red a couple of threads (a very lot of) but now I would like to ask two questions...
1.)
When I install MS Voice Command 1.6 (German Version) with AX3L_WM6_WWE_v2.0.8.1 Image, all is the voice stuff recognition stuff is working, but the announcments of incoming calls und mails are not. For sure I have activated this feature in settings dialog. There was a post around in this forum about the replacing of files (I did - but doesn't work)
By the way I have the newsest version of Voice Command but still not working. (is is a global wm6 issue with this product or only image related?)
2.)
Sometimes if I try to turn bluetooth on it doesn't... only after a warm reboot Bluetooth works. I know this problem from my old HP hx4700. Is this only a specific Image problem, or is this normal on today's images?
EDIT: Of course I red also the threads about this specific problem.. but before testing all cooked roms - is it in gerneral a problem with bluetooth turning on?
Thanks,
kind regards,
Pinocchios
sorry for my bad english - I'm austrian
I am having the same problem trying to get WM6 and VC 1.6 to announce incoming call.
Bluetooth and GPRS issue solved
Hi there,
My problem (described above) is solved now. I read an article about a memory leak in SPB Mobile Shell.. And yes, when I turn off the TODAY plugin (program starter, weather preview) I can turn on Bluetooth when a celular data connection is established.
It's reproduceable.. the today plugin consumes too much memory.
(the now screen turned on from mobile shell will function as usual)
I am not able to install MS Voice command 1.6. It gives an error during the installation concerning the certificates etc... The install is then terminated. What should I do?
Thanks
I still can't get voice command 1.6 to announce incoming call on any trinity wm6 rom. not on the bluetooth headset and not on the device speaker. did you succeed?
No - I can't get it working.
seems as microsoft have to develop this product for wm6
Hi there,
I have the v1.6.17919 on the earlys Ger WM6 bepe rom in use and I'am surprice to tell you that the incomming calls where brought to me over the internal speaker!!!! Thats a cool feature, to here the name of the person that is calling!!!
Lalle
Hi
really?? I have tried bepe's newest rom, but there's an issue with active sync.. the exchange server sync get stuck and after an reboot of the mobile device, windows doesn't continue to boot - I just see windows mobile screen.
.. with other images is no problem..
.. another question... VOIP is working in bepe's rom?
on AX3L I can't get it working. there is only noise coming from the internal speaker.
regards,
Pinocchios
I installed MS Voice Command for a little while on WM6 (official release) but I found it to be pretty useless, don't know if it was because it was WM6 as I haven't used MS Voice Command on WM5. Anyway, switched back to Cyberon Voice Commander for the mean time, maybe when microsoft release a new version I will look at trying it again.
