[schaps, need your help!] htc touch on wm6

Hi folks, I found some htc touch .cab files.

(I know it is is the wizard section but the .cabs are the same.)
I would like to have these work on my wm6. (HTC Home Plug (For example))
I know about jj black shadow, but its English and I finaly have schaps dutchs version, so i really need the cabs the work on my ppc..
somebody any ideas?

It is working on the TyTN...
i've installed the home plugin and works very fine..
there are a couple of threads here in this forum with info about this, you can search and found some usefull tips about how it works and configure the app.

I installed it too, but i think it doesnt work on schaps roms. because when I install those cabs, its says after install "this is a old version so it maybe doesnt work correct" ..I can tell you one thing, I doesnt! i get a empty space on my to-day screen..

On wich version of Schap's ROM are you ?
Because I've seen two versions for this: WWE & FRENCH... depends on you langage: The wwe version didn't work with my French ROM (3.30b)

I got the Dutch version 3.30A

Schap's will release HTC Home plug in it's future ROM, so I think he is already busy with it.

Solution
For those who can't get the HTC Home plug-in with my multilangual ROMs other than english, don't be surprised as those files were extracted from a WWE version Touch ROM!
By renaming some files or translating MUI you should be able to make it work correctly, there is no reason as it works flawlessly with my ROM, even in French!

Finally, Asus is uploaded official WM6 ROM for P525, currently available in Simplified & Traditional Chinese only but I believe soon there will be a Russian version.

I tried to flash the official ROM, but it keep saying my system is not suitable to use this version language even I did a asusunlockid, weird.
I think I better don't flash first since no WI-FI driver included and it left only 30MB of space, sigh.

Haha, you are right
Once the Russian version is out, I believe they will work on the official one to create the English version then it become unofficially official ROM
I hope they can also squeeze the ROM to make a bigger space rather than 30MB.

I have a new Dopod 838 pro. Right now, I wonder that could I update my PDA to WM6 with any shipped rom, for example: ATT rom, or the newest shipped rom...?

1) Flash HardSPL
2) find the rom you want from the wiki
3) flash
If you return your phone with hardSPL on it your warranty will be voided, but you can downgrade to normal SPL.]

Back in the day when I got my Hermes I was like you. Then found this cool site maintained by Mr. Vanx: http://www.mrvanx.org/
In there you can read every single step needed to update your Hermes without destroying it in the process.
PD: Just a suggestion, try to update it to WM 6.1, it has a few minor but important updates, mainly threaded SMS and Office 2007.

Not all WM6.1 has these things. You need to read whats in the rom . The chefs are very good at keeping you informed of whats in their work.
Make sure you Hard SPL your phone 1st as you may well end up with a brick otherwise - I'm not saying you won't anyway but at least you have a chance of recovery.

The big question, why would you want to do that? There is a perfectly good WM6 DOPOD 838 pro ROM in the wiki? Or in my 4shared?
Edit: The ATT ROm does not have a video dialer as you know the 8525 does not have a front camera.

bar)then it ends the activesync connection

NVM, all i did was put it into
bootloader, then ran the RUU,
it JUST finished flashing now,
i'll bbl after i play around w. it
to give you some feedback =]

Nice work. A little confused at first as the device would just shut off and not go into bootloader mode. Also, I'm a newb. Thanks Dim_sum for the hint.

active sync is working for me

this version is better improved V18 as in my opnion far better than V19 which was a bunch of bugs.
this V20 is awesome. no bugs, no problems so far.
just not entirely sure why a new thread has been created for this rom as the V18 and V19 one created by rod555 is still active.

As far as I know, there is no excalibur in china.
At least it doesn't show in baidu.com

???,i am still using kavana original 6.1 chinese rom for the chinese display and ime, looks like time for me to uograde. wifi and bluetooth works?

bluetooth works well
i didnt test wifi,but others who use my rom say wifi is ok

In China,it`s dopod C720/C720W,or HTC S620
but there are many phones shiped from abroad
Excalibur(Dopod C720/C720w,HTC S620/S621,T-mobile Dash almost the same,just the brands

Does this version support Arabic and Hebrew, since both used non-latin charector, what about english?

rayfile software is safe,after you download ROM,unist the software
no pdf reader in the rom
