No HSDPA and 3G with official ROM - P3600 ROM Development

Hello,
Searching the threads I cannot get the answer on my question.
Since I've installed WM6 on my P3600 I do not have HSDPA and 3G anymore. I only have GPRS, but that's not good enough for a videocall.
Does someone know if this is a general fault?
I tried HTCTweakUI, but had no luck.
Does someone know what the reg-settings are for HSDPA in the register?
Thanks all,
Temba

Hi,French wm6 was cooking with an official dopod and HSDPA is available.Do you try trinityhacks too ?

Did try HTCTweakUI
Yeah, I did try.
Where can I find the latest RadioROM? I searched at wiki, but couldn't find anything about it. At the Hermes-part there is a Radio-upgrading-part. Why isn't it there for the Trinity?

here is the latest rom : 1.46.30.11

there a program in parameters to activate HSDPA I think

Thanks
Thanks for the Radio-ROM.
Did I read there was also 1.48? Did it come with the AT&T-ROM?
My wife has the P3600. The first two rings are lost. Does this ROM help to solve the problem?
Thanx again

ROM did not solve the problem
He guys,
The new ROM did not solve the problem.
Anyone else with a tip?
Temba

Did you check if "Start, Parameters, Connections, HSDPA switch" has the checkbox checked ?

I've installed the official Dopod SEA WM6 ROM on my P3600 and 3G/HSPDA works fine with default settings (I didn't have to do anything after the installation). Of course this is with the 1900 Mhz they use around here; I haven't tried it on 2100 Mhz.

No 3G After Upgrading in T-Mobile NL

Hallow.
I have upraded my Vario2 to the following settings:
IPL-1.04, SPL-2.10.Olipro,
with Radio V-1.41.00.10 and WM6 pro Black 3.0.1 ROM .
The upgrading went perfect with no problems.
The device boot properly.
The only problem is that the data connection stays on GPRS where I know there is a 3G connect.
T-Mobile support dont want to help solving this problem.
Any Idea anyone?

How did you fixed the Tmobile operetor settings after the apgrade ?
Did you follow the T-Mobile site ? or you used a cab configuration file?
Maybe I have a faulty operetor settings, but I repeat that I do have a GPRS reception.

WM6: Problem with recieving incoming calls

Since I installed WM6 I can´t recieve incoming calls. The phone lights up but nothing more, and when I click on the reception or phone symbol when it lights up it says "no service" (translated from Swedish).
It was also some problems with Active Sync 4.5 since I upgraded, but those problems might just be because I needed to reinstall it.
Does anybody please know how to fix this, otherwise tomorrow it will go to the repair-shop and I will lose 12 days and the order in my life. : (
The sim-card works on another phone and it worked with WM5, and I have tried hard reset and a reinstall of WM6, but the problem persists.
/Danne
Hi,
Did you try to install an offoicial version of WM6 or one of the cooked ones of this board? If the latter did you take all the necessary precautions first eg installing an upgraded bootloader, etc?
If you have not you may have bricked your phone.
Give us a bit more detail so we can see how we can help.
Cheers

hello
I had the same problem when I upgrade to official WM6 HTC rom, the phone don't ring and I loose the network.
I solve the problem with flashing the radio rom with older version.
I put wm6 on my phone the first day I got it. so I don't really know if this was a problem b4 with wm5.
mine only seems to ring my end after about 8 rings from the dialer so I have to get it within 2 rings b4 voice mail kicks in. Ypu think the if I update the radio as well will that help me?
ps. sorry for hi-jacking your topic seemed along the same line.
the same problem with Bouygues telecom!

Hi everybody,
Sorry it took a while to answer (sleeping time).
I installed the official version from HTC Europe and it it only the incoming calls that doesn´t work, I can call other people.
THE SOLUTIONS
Two solutions seems to have been offered (below) but I (as Curious Jack) are new to this so could you please elaborate of give a link where I can read more?
Vinzcoyote "I solve the problem with flashing the radio rom with older version"
CrunchyGremlin: cnguar provisioning cab
Thanks so far.

Hi there
I had the same problem with mine after flashing to wm6 (but on a trinity)
Apparently there are 2 fixes:
1. Get a NEW sim , or
2. Flash radio rom back to an earlier version that was used with wm5.
Hope this helps

Two concrete solutions.
One last question: I use a Swedish OS - do the radio roms that is under: "Extracted Radio ROMs for your Hermes" work for me? Or only Anglosaxian PDA:s?
/Dan
similar problem discussed here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1442269#post1442269
in fact Palm Treo 750 (HTC Cheetah) and Hermes are based on the same radio module.
latest Palm Treo WM6 Radio version: 1.47 (Qualcom)
What that Palm utility does is simply downgrading radio to earlier version. This might work for Hermes in bootloader mode as well.
My point is: no need to install hard sspl if one can downgrade to earlier version of radio with _official_ radio downgrade tool.
I will try later and report back.
update: Palm Radio downgrade tool picked up that device is incompatible. no luck so far.
Seems problem is with Bouygues Telecom
Hi Guys,
Got the exact same problem with Bouygues Telecom. I put a Orange Sim card and it is working so I assume the issue comes from Bouygues Telecom.
So that to check, are the french guys all on Bouygues Telecom or are you using other Telco operators?
Frederic
SOLVED : WM6 & HTC Tytn & Bouygues Telecom now working
Guys,
to make it work, you need to flash ROM Radio 1.38 on top of Windows Mobile 6.
ROM Radio 1.38 can be finded at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_ExtractedRadioRoms
what version did you use? There are few of them listed on that page:
1.38.00.01
1.38.00.10
1.38.30.10

No GPRS After Upgrade

I was using my stock universal (T-Mobile MDA II) with GPRS connection. I upgraded the ROM to Ranju's V7.6 WM6.1 ROM and in general I think it's a great improvement except now my GPRS connection doesn't work. I have tried Shap's Setup Operator but it doesn't have an option for the US. I think I either need to upgrade my radio ROM, or I need a CAB to tell the universal how to use the GPRS in the US. Can somebody please give me some tips to get it working again?
Posterbation
Just to update folks, I was about to go back to the stock ROM but I stumbled accross the DarkForcesTeam ROM and gave it a whirl. GPRS in the US on T-Mobile works just fine with that ROM. I actually like it better because it has less software installed so I can install my own, and it has a really nice custom Today screen.

I have the same problem of no GPRS with Ranju in the UK on vodafone.

[ROM] Vodafone Germany release 1.93.162.3 Diamond Rom Update

You can find the release here:
http://www.vodafone.de/hilfe-support/technischer-support/132855.html
and a direct Link to the File here:
http://www.vodafone.de/downloadarea...gned_Diamond_52.26a.25.09_1.00.25.03_Ship.exe
I didn't try it myself yet, using bepes 0.98 and it runs great with the .07 radio
I hope that I'll get mobileTV and MusicDownloads workling with bepes ROM - because I cannot use Vodafone Live! completely! I tried to use a postet UserAgent and VF-Live! is showing everything correctly, but if I want to start a MusicDownload he first says, that I am outside UMTS coverage (but my Diamond shows me that HSPDA is there - and the speed is great) and than I get an error that a kind of "downloader" wasn't found! (I read that this is a part of the "windows updates" function). When I am trying to use mobileTV he also thinks that I'm outside UMTS/HSDPA coverage! What is going wrong? Does anyone knows a solution for my trouble?
Thanks a lot!
they still use the old radio... unbelievable... -_-
Im glad that I flashed to original htc...
did they atleast fix the opera-wap problem?
Core is 19965

Vodafone (AU) ROM Required

Hi all,
I have a telstra locked diamond and have changed to vodafone here in australia - the htc site won't let me download the vodafone rom, so i was wondering if anyone can either supply me with the latest vodafone rom, or the direct link to download it from htc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i can't use vodafone data connections as the phone is locked to use the telstra network for data.
thanks in advance,
paul
Paul, I think any other ROM (custom included) will work fine, the data will be reconfigured automatically. I'm using SwiftBL 7.5 and the first time it starts, it auto-configured data and MMS for me for Optus.
thanks
Thanks for that - have got that rom installed, but had problems with the hard-spl...
Anyway - it works.
Cheers.
Mind You...
I'm having a few problem with that rom - so if anyone can either supply a link, or a phone serial number that will allow the download it would be much appreciated.
Which ROM are you having trouble with?
SwiftBL 7.5
OEM 1.96 WWE
SORRY DIDNT READ ENOUGH !! i thought AU !! but you are in AUStralia so i was mislead. sorry again

Well:
Australia = AU
Austria = AT
Was using Switft, then tried dutty 3.2...
Strange, everytime I soft-reset some registry settings change back, like the keyboard setting and show SIM numbers. Also, don't seem to be able to get any satellites in gps...
I emailed htc support and they seem unwilling to give me the link to the vodafone rom.
Guess I'll just play around until I get angry enough to try percussive maintenance with a half-pound sledge hammer...
there are new vodafone stock roms, on xda, strange you didn't saw them
Hmm - I must be blind...
I did find the latest stock rom for AU which seems to be running just fine...
Happy now...
Thanks everybody.
Woops - I thought that you would have had problems with the frequency change from Telstra to Vodafone?
My radio notes say:
USA + Telstra: 850/2100 MHz DIAM130
Europe + Vodafone & Optus: 900/2100 MHz DIAM100, DIAM110, DIAM200, DIAM300
D100 on TLS will use HSDPA in city OK (2100) but reverts to slow EDGE in country (stays on 2100 not fast 850 Next G)
G=GPRS
E=EDGE
H=HSDPA
3G= WCDMA/UMTS

Which rom is that? I've just installed Olinex HardSPL 1.30 Signed and was looking for a stock 1.93 based rom to use in AU with Three.
I am looking for a stock rom in australia as well. I have not found any Aus stock roms out there. Maybe it is just a generic stock rom that works all around the world.
I would even be happy with a 3 Australia rom but i cannot seem to find that yet.
Cheers
Darren
