universal quite dead - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro Software Upgrading

i got myself a jasjar couple days ago.
but the device keeps rebooting/reseting every 15min. or whatever.
so i tried to update the rom version with a more recent one.
however ... now my device doesn't do anything at all.
it's frozen at the bootloader if i'm correct.
only thing it displays is 'serial' at top of the screen and 'version 1.00' at the bottom.
i tried a hard reset, soft reset.... always ends up back at this screen.
could anyone plz help me?

Sounds like you just need to reflash your device. Use this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319838
Unpack the zip file and run the MaUpgradeNoID file.
---

i've done that. but the phone keeps rebooting.
just after spash screen the screen goes black.
is there a way to backup my current radio/ext rom etc.?? so i can restor?
i have the WM ultimate as suggested, but keeps rebooting.
i tried a hard reset, which sometimes helps.
but when i disconnect my charger/usb cable the phone goes off within a few secs.
i tried with 3 batteries, all result the same so can't be that i think.

As my understanding your device doesnt boot as long you are pluged to power isnt it? if I am right try this:
clean the contact point of your battery and contact clips on your device (golden clips) use a pcb board cleaner

lets say the power is at 90% but wouldn't boot.
but when connected with usb/power it does load, and needs to stay connected till the 'enter pin'-screen prompts.
i think this issue is related to an unstable mix of rom/ram/radio information.
after i tried some custom cooked images everything seems fine

blocked/ dead bleu angel

HELP! my blue angel is eather blocked or really dead.
last time it worked i did a hard reset, the funny thing is he keeps all the tasks after the hard reset (?) and after 2 minuuts when the boot has been completed it freezes. nothing works anymore, no button,no screen, no nothing responds. even the start button from windows has been replaced by the word phone in the frozen screen. Not even active sync can make a connection...
anyone ??? any suggestions???
have you tried Re-Flashing with 1) a new rom or 2) the original rom
how will he reflash the device, if he can't sync it? Contact your dealer, otherwise, i'm buying the digitizer...if nothing can be made to save your device.
you dont need to sync to flash the device!
put the blue angel in boot loader mode and the display will say 'serial' and a number. connect to PC with the docking cable and it will then say 'USB' and is then reday to flash!!
do a search on 'flashing a new rom to blue angel' or similar search and it is all there!!!!!
got it fixed
thnx 4 all the tips. butr got the problem solved.

I've tried upgrading my JasJar with Xda_Exec_Upgrade_v1.30

I guys, I've tried upgrading my JasJar with Xda_Exec_Upgrade_v1.30.162, using MaUpgradeUt_noID and when update was complete I cannot load my JasJar anymore. I am using hard reset, but when choosing "0" off the boot screen - noting happens and screeen remains black.
Can someone please help me with this issue?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Best regards,
Stazik
Try reflashing it again. If it does not work, try reflashing back to the i-Mate ROM.
Whats the version of your bootloader (the screen with serial at the top changing to usb when plugged into usb)? If it is 0.56 or something else below 0.6 thats an already known problem.
I had similar problems with my O2 upgrade.
Try:
- Turn off USB in ActiveSync
- Hold Power/Light and press reset button
- Run the upgrade again
Thank you very much for help and support, guys!
When I try flashing my JasJar with Bootloader update or JASJAR_WWE_13076_164_10900_wwe_ship I get the same error message: Error 101 Connection Error. And also when I disable ActiveSync USB and plug my Jasjar into USB - I get a message from windows saying the device was not recognized...
The only I can get from JasJar is a black screen, except when I press two soft buttons and reset - that gives me a screen with 0 and x to choose. Neither of choices helps thou.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks a lot.
you didnt answer the question re the boot loader number.
when your screen is grey or starting to reset, there are numbers on the screen. what are they.
if it is less that 0.6 your in trouble and assistance is different to if your boot loader is 1.0 or similar.
My screen doesn't change from gray except when I do hard reset. And then I hit two buttons and reset, then press 0 the message Clearing now appears and then everything returns to gray again.
How can I tell the version of bootloader in this case?
Thank you in advance!
they are hard to see, if the screen is grey, the numbers are black.
f the screen is blue/coloured, the nmbers are probably red.
Thanks for help guys,
I brought my JasJar for service today, somehow they were able to put older ROM in there. Now I've upgraded bootloader, hopefully newest ROM from i-mate going to fit without problems )
Well I've killed my Jasjar upgrading I was installing the bootloader update. It sat there saying "Checking information on your device" for about 30 minutes after the update started (notes said it would take 10 so I figured something was amiss - disconnected & rebooted my PC.
Now when I turn the Jasjar on I get the USB/Serial screen referred to above and (good news I figure) it has v1.00 at the bottom. How do I fix this?
TIA
Sheesh. I did a search (I know I should have done that first) and found the answer here
Took a while to find a copy of mtty to download, but found that at http://buzzdev.net
Once I'd done the Set 14 0 and tried the boot loader update again it took seconds so something definitely went wrong the first time.

Qtek 9090 Dead - Update not 100%, no reaction, no bootloader

Hey guys,
I've searched the forum for like 5 hours or so
to find a thread that could help me solve this solution...
I've tried everything that had something to do with "dead"
in the BlueAngel and Blueangel Update etc. section
What it does:
- The screen stays black
- If I try to charge, the Red 'Charging' LED doesn't become red
unless I take the battery out of the Qtek and charge..
Then it gets red (WEIRD)
- No connection with activesync or rom update utilities
What happened:
- Rom update stopped after a few percentages...
If i try to get a new rom in it with or without cradle
with the following rom update utilities:
- BaUpgradeUt.exe:
then I get a Connection Error (101) when I try to update
- MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe:
ERROR 150: ROM UPGRADE UTILITY ERROR
(Rom Utility not designed for this device)
or "Finished" immediately (but it's not finished)
(Depends on the rom I use, and I used like 10 different roms)
Soft reset / Hard reset doesn't work,
I even tried to Hard Reset by holding the
Voice Record button + Power button + Reset button for 2 minutes
(I tried Camera + Power + Reset too) with the battery,
and I tried these without the battery...
No reaction...
If someone can help me, please do...
Thnx in advance
Maybe you can try thingds from this

Click to collapse
Nope,
I've tried that too, but I don't get the USB or WCEUSB in mtty...
The COM ports don't react.
I know how to use it, because I used it like 10 times or somethin'
But I think the problem is, that I can't get in the bootloader mode
(or any other mode)... So there's no response from my Angel..
Thanks anyway..
have you tryed to remove battery, leave it without battery fo an hour or two then put the battery back and power on the device ?
this method may boot your device. If it worked go imediately in bot loader mode and reflash your favorite rom
If it does not helps maybe it is hardware problem ... and you should leave your device in service center
Tried this too
Isn't there any solution except for service center?
I want to know how I can solve this problem,
'cause it could happen again when I update the rom later.
And I know I'm not the only one with this problem.
It would help me and a lot of other BlueAngel owners..
Is it possible to make a serial connection with the bottom I/O port and issue the necessary commands with mtty? could be that there is some logic powered on the board but not enough to make the "USB" section powered up.. similar to serial a console cable on network gear etc. OR.. is there any known secrets such as a hardware debug mode initiated with certain pin(s) on the I/O connector.. such as grounding one or two.. any HTC tech documents floating around for troubleshooting?

You are not one with this problem. The same happens with me too.

Artermis hangs in windows splashscreen after fall

I have a problem with my Tmobile MDAIII compact.
It dropped on the floor last week, the battery fell out and everything.. and after that it just hangs in the windows bootscreen.
Opened it up to see if there was any visible damage inside, but found nothing.
When I turn it on the screen shows:
IPL 1.12.0001
SPL 1.11.0001
GSM 03.21.90
OS 3.7.0.0
then it gos to the windows mobile splah/bootscreen
I have the PDAviet black and blue v4.0 touch ROM on it..
sof reset doesn;t work, it will just get stuck in the bootscreen again. if you touch a button it lights up the screen and keyboard, but even that stops responding afer a couple of minutes.
a hard reset is not an option right now cause I can't afford to lose my contacts and notes
flashing is not an option for the same reason.
had anyone here got any idea how to get this working again without a hard reset or a new flash..
I read that you can do more harm then good if you just use some commands you find, cause every bootloader has different commands so I carefully tried some MTTY commands in the bootloader, but in the end it didn't do anything. good or bad..
Is there a way to see where it hangs or gets stuck through some output console with MTTY or something? or get the contactlist out of it or the notes..
I SO cannot afford to lose my contacts or the notes in the damned thing. ( yes, I all hear you say " you should've backed up then!!" but hindsight is always 20-20 )
is it bootLOOPING or is it just hanging on the bootscreen?
if it's bootlooping try removing your SD card and then soft resetting
if it's hanging, your guess is as good as mine
It's hanging in that bootscreen/PDAVIET splash, it's not looping.. it just sits there mocking me..
There is no SD card present and no SIM either and if I insert those, it doesn't change a thing about its behaviour, it still hangs..
124 views and no one knows anything? no small clue, no tip, no nothing?
I think it's just broken.
The only option you can try I see is a hard reset. To bad you haven't made a backup or something on your computer. Lesson for the next time, if you contacts and notes are that important, Make a daily backup!!!

uhh, help.. phone wont boot past windows screen...

Im using DeepShining X4 rom. all of a sudden when i was switching tabs, my phone froze, so i soft reset and it would get past the Touch Pro2 screen.. i left it for at least 10 minutes and nothing. so i reset it again.. again.. 3-4 times, with the same result.. idk why, but i went into bootloader mode [vol down+power+reset] got the tri color screen, and found no hard reset option so i naturally soft reset.. this time, i got past the Touch Pro2 welcome screen and it went on to the other two welcome screens, but stops at the windows one.. wtf is going on?! how can i flash another rom without accessing my files?? alsdkjflaskdj. someone please help, im freaking the eff out.
You don't need to flash a new ROM, just hard reset manually. Turn off the device completely (yank the battery if necessary). Now, press the power button, the send key, and the end key all at the same time. You should get a prompt instructing you how to hard reset. Follow the instructions and you'll be fine.
Somehow your windows has become corrupt. It is digital media afterall and it does happen. No need to freak out. You will get through it.
As DaveTheTytnIIguy said pull the battery, let sit a few minutes, reinstal and then while holding the end and send buttons at the same time push the power button. Follow instrucions on the screen. I think it says push volume up to do a hard reset.
You will loose any apps and files that were stored to the phone. Anything from the SD card will be fine but will have to be reinstalled to get it working.
If you made a backup of your phone you could now load this and then everything would be back to the way it was. This is why I do weekly backups and load everything to storage card. It also helps to backup the storage card once in a while as they have been known to go bad as well.
