Hello all.
Anyone knows if/how i can change the keyboard to the left side of PocketCM on tom's rom to search for other alphabets?
Most of my contacts are in Greek and that contacts app is nice to be able to use.

Hi everybody.
I searched the forum already - to no avail...
Just updated my Hermes to WM6 Black Edition. Problem is, that I have a German Device, and now all my keys on my hardware keyboard are set to english localization.
Is there a way to switch to a german keyboard mapping in some way?
Maybe by updating the registry?
Help would be highly appreciated...
thx in advance,
trial
Have a look at this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=279158
I never tried it because its not that important for me to have a german keyboard configuration.
Keep us informed how it works
thanks for the link!
it seems to work in most of the cases - except the umlauts like 'ä ö ü' can't be accessed via the keyboard shortcut for some strange reason.
apart from that it works quite well...
I have an app that does it

you have to replace yout sym.0409.txt in windows-dir... search for "sym.04.09.txt" you will find the replacement in the same thread where you find the "German Language Changer"
Hi,
I just flashed my spv artemis with Artemis Touch 3..
All fine but... I'd like to use alpha-numerical Touch Keypad when writing texts, etc. The problem is that there are few T9, but obviously not a Polish one. I don't know how to upload a T9, where to take it from or at least deactivate the T9 feature at all...
Any feedback mates?
thanks
Polish T9 is not a problem, but Polish xT9... that is the problem... More about XT9 input, you can find here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=343106
For disable xt9 use THIS cab
Thanks a million!
You brought me some hopes accodrding to the lack of Polish XT9. The thread seems to be quite fresh.
The *.cab unfortunately messed something up, disabled the 12-buttons Keypad and turned it into a qwerty one. Strange. Even resetting haven't helped.
Anyway I uninstalled it and all fine now.
I've noticed a simple button on the keypad tha allows you to disable the XT9 Is that thanks to the cab or it has always been there? dunno
I suppose that the best temporary resolution would be installing a keypad supporting the old T9, install a POL one and wait for some tough brains to develop the Xt9 translation (as I am not a tough brain able to help in any means...)
cheers

That was happend because this cab permanently disable xT9 dictionary, and it's completly normal.

Yes, for now this is the only way to have T9. I'm also waiting for someone who can develop xT9 lang, because as you, I don't know how

Hi there,
I'm usually in the Blackstone or Rhodium forums and have a mate who has the Xperia X1 and asked me about the on screen keyboards.
Looking at this phone, he only has the normal on screen keyboard which needs the stylus to be used, is there anyone out there that has the "Full QWERTY" and "Phone Keypad" Keyboards as a cab to install?
Thanks
search for FINGER KEYBOARD 2.1 or something like that. it's much better than the se kb.

Are u serious?
what's the point of a software keyboard when u have a hardware one?
imho, the best solution even is to install nullkeyboard to stop the annoying software keyboard from popping up.
Try SPB Keyboard. Its great
Hi, Although u have the slider keyboard already, but for obvious reasons one may need a software keyboard too. Try SPB Keyboard (just google it and u get the links). It also gives u lot many plugins to shoose from various layouts/options of keyboard.
I have been using it for long and its works great on X1.
fingerkeyboard is by far the best!
hm.. this might help u

Although hardware keyboards are great, you need two hands to use them. When you want to send a quick message or send something quick on Twitter etc, one hand is prefered, hence the Software Keyboard is needed.

I used the Touch IT Blackstone keyboard set which includes a handy keypad, simulating a normal phone pad. I mostly use it for one-handed sms.
The filename is Touch-IT Blackstone Keyboard.cab or something, so a search would probably yield results.

Tried fingerkeyboard, Blackstone and SPB one. Actually I'm with the xT9 keyboard, that id the official finger-friendly keyboard that SE ships with the R3A ROM release. It is by far the best one I've ever tried.
Try it, it's here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=494026
The xT9 is the best keyboard. The only one you can use with one hand!

that was my issue... there's other ezinput 2.0 that i've got/tried...
and the fn keys are outputting different things...
ezinput 1.5 works BUT has smaller keys and the font is messed up (courier?)
oh well
still eager for someone to fix this issue...
what about the issue that older EzInput keyboards had with the predictive text on the X1i?
I remember when i installed 1.5 it would no longer pre-populate names as i was typing in the To: section for a text message
dont really care about t9 or predictive text...
i just want to type and use the fn key to properly output numbers rather than using sym all the time >.<
Hi guys,
I really need your help with this:
I need a dialer which can search hebrew+english at the same time and a proper skin to go with it.
I think it's the only thing preventing my xperia from being perfect for me.
I'm running touch x 10.8 - which is a great rom (thank u MrRusch and smaberg) so i guess i'm looking for a smartdialer with hebrew for TF3D + a hebrew/english skin for it. I have pdac hebrew.
I allready tried phonex, it's a good dialer and other dialers - but it's killing my x1 and that's a damm shame killing such a great rom with 3rd party dialers who slow down everything.
I would really just like to add the smartdialing in hebrew function and put on a new skin with added hebrew letters.
I spent days trying to find something and tried all sorts of dialers+skins done in hebrew for other devices but they just won't work.
All i know is to install cabs :-(
can anyone plzzzzzzzzzz help - i'll be greatfull till i change my X1 and then some.
Hebrew Dialer
i know the feeling
i am having the same problem
i sent the PDAC support an e-mail with this request a few days ago, and still waiting for a replay
please keep this thread updated if you find a solution as i will do the same.
no news bad news
sorry - but still haven't found a solution :-(
Hello,
A few days ago I flashed a Windows 6.5 ROM, (XannyTechROM GRID LEO 2.6 ROM) and I really love it, it's like having a new phone. However, for text input tools, it only has phone keyboards like qwerty, phone keypad. But it looks like it does not have transcriber or letter recognizer and I use these when I write longer emails. Can anyone help and tell me if it's possible to install these somehow?
Thank you very much!
Tried this in the apps section?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=627139&highlight=transcriber
thank you, I have not tried it yet but I will in a few minutes. Anyone has a cab for Letter Recognizer, please?
Thank you everyone
