Hello,
Does anyone knows how to allow HTC Homeplug Weather to download datas over proxy when you're connected over 3G. This plug is working great for me over wifi but not over 3G connection even if I go trough my personnal tunnel.
So is there a way to change htc.accuweather.com in the HTCHome.dll or how to located this line in the dll.
Thanks for your help.
weather ....
Hello,
I have seen a lot of french people around this forum and I was wondering if some people using the SFR (Vodaphone) network where able to get weather update under 3G network (with wap connection). It's so stupid to have this nice plug and have to add spb weather!
Cheers ;-)

Hi,
I have a new O2 Orbit but its connectivity to GPRS, WiFi and via cable/ActiveSync is driving me mad. In turns one or all of them don't work without me making any changes. O2 support have suggested:
- setting the username/password for GPRS, WAP etc - tried
- cleaning the SIM card - tried
- Hard reset - not tried yet, I don't want to have to re-install all the apps
This forum has suggested setting the setting the second drop down on Network Management to My ISP instead of My Work Network (which seems to be a WAP network). That helped for a while then it stopped.
GPRS thinks it has connected (showing the G icon with various arrows) but just doesn;t transfer any data.
Is this a hardware fault? I have a good signal on WiFi and GPRS but connectivity just comes and goes.
Any ideas?
Jon
It also forgets http proxy settings on the work connection when you run Internet Explorer. So annoying! The orbit is unusable if you need to set a proxy for your wifi.
I am having problems of GPRS connecting when i don't want it too!
Does anyone know of an app or setting that will make the orbit require authorisation to go connecting to GPRS? So i am in control of when i spend money!
I've been looking into this myself and found this on another forum.
I have just installed it and it works perfectly.

Damn..your English is bad.. how old are you, you sound like a 6 year old disabled..

sorry,I´m spanish and the traductions is by google
help me please
type in spanish, let someone that speaks spanish on the forum translate it because that was horrible and i dont know what the hell the problem is...
Ok, I think I understood the question (because I speak spanish also and I have a similar problem). The problem is that when WiFi is working (and everything OK:IP address, etc) and you start PIE, then it tries to enable GPRS (or HSDPA)... I tried all possible combinations (Network Card connects Internet or Work...) and PIE always tries to connect through GPRS (or HSPDA).
Am I missing any setting?
Is it possible to setup PIE with WiFi and MMS with GPRS at the same time?
PD. Hope my english is not so broken
Try to look under Settings/Connections/Advanced...the Select Networks options...under Programs that automatically connet to a private network should connect using...choose "My Work Network"
It works for me...
Regards,
Primoz
It somehow work.. I have to repeat that several times and then it works...
Anyway, Is there any way to fix PIE with WiFi and the other things with GPRS or we have to change the settings everytime (really annoying)?
disable cing proxy
Hi,
I just upgraded my Hermes ATT 8525 from WM5 to the following WM6 version which I downloaded off of rapidshare site:
4. WM6 Cingular USA version (same as the official but cingular customized and radio version 1.48) thanx madcap180
Everything is working great, the upgrade was smooth and I was able to get all my data back and all that except for the WIFI connection.
I am able to connect to my Home Wireless Secured Network (SSID), and it shows that it is connected and has almost all the green bars showing excellent signal quality, but when I try to use Messenger or Internet explorer, it doesnt work. I am not sure why? Is it trying to connect using GPRS or cingulars Internet connection? If so, how do I fix it so that It connects using my home wireless connection. I do not subscribe to ATT/Cingulars Internet data plan etc,...
Any help will be greatly appreciated.... thanks
You should read the thread for this rom and ask your question there:

Thank you much! I posted my question under that post.....
Hi,
I just wonder what programs could cause GPRS traffic not really obvious to the user? One of them is definitely the QuickGPS which periodically updates GPS ephemeris information through the internet.
Are there any other programs?
Hello i think that is mutch of time due to the weather on HTC home if you've let the update of weather regulary the phone will connect to the gprs in background to download the update .But some other programs like quick gps is able to connect to get the update ephemeries wich is outdate in each 3days, some antivirus andjava game are also able to connect themselves if there is a permission access.Try to resolve for each program a manual update and i think you'll get a quiet gprs
This program may help you, its called nodata and it allows you to turn gprs on/off whenever you please.

for quite sometime now i have settled my dash to the wm6 unbranded htc s621 latest rom. have figured out to remap my ie keys to launch celetask but my only problem is that the rom did not include any htc connection setup or network wizard and the likes, can't send mms/connect to the internet using my networks edge signal.
been searching for a working one, at last i have found it (w/ 1 issue but figured out some workaround for it).
attached is the cab for the htc network wizard which is working for our wm6 dash/excalibur.
--->>> don't forget to make a shortcut of NetworkWizard.exe from \windows as after installation it doesn't make any shortcut accessible from the menu. run and select your country and network your dash will be set in no time.
