How to install:

I don't ask for a Kitchen (Tool), but only a "guide" with witch Tools you used and maye special parameters for iPaq for integrate other softwares in this firmware.

There was some trouble with initflashfiles in the kitchen,you should think how to solve it

Kitchen ? Is there a kitchen that works for iPaq nbf's ?
I have tryed with imgfs and ER2003Edit .... but i think i'm wrong.
Please help me to start

any significant changes in speed? compare with original ROM (WM5)from iPaq? I was using hx4700 with WM5 ROM, but it's running very slow... so I down-grade back to WM2KSE...

it's good sound...let's download it and i'll let you know. is it only .nbf file or containing hpRUU executable file also?

when i load the rom load tools it says Rom error invalid for device or designed for a later device.

How you measure the perfomarmance? Can you provide the results please.
As I know form russian forum (http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=42699&st=0)
you even do not have hp4700 to test this ROM .

I mananged to load it on, good work though but some suggestions removing the today themes and some other pointless help files could free some space for other things.

Works allright for me. It's a bit of a shame that you removed NavPoint. As it turns out, I used it more than I thought. Good ROM, though.

G-R-E-A-T work. After soft reset it starts faster almost twice time! (Before 47 sec. and now 27 sec.! (Lite build 110607). Keep on it.

Thanks for this ROM, I just installed it, now re-installing my software again.
So far it feels great

Hello All. How many people are interested in having Arabic on their P3600? I have just bought a program that will install arabic onto your P3600. The file is just less than 5 Mb in size. I know this program works as one of my friends bought my unlocked SPV M700 off me and installed this arabic program onto it, and it works fine.

so i interessted

ok, will try and upload it to rapidshare today. What I will say is that it's best to install it from your memory card, and also do a clean storage on your P3600 first. I tried installing it intially and it crashed, causing me to reinstall my ROM. however with no other external programs installed, it installed without a problem.

hi,
there are many problems with you .cab:
- no access to the programs through the start menu
- the items are written from left to right are not connected.
with those major issues I can't make more tests...
I have P3600 with Faman 4.03 version in french maybe I must install the .cab in an english version?

I'm not sure what's causing your problem is to be honest. I have an Orange SPV M700. When I first installed the cab file, it crashed and I had to reinstall my original orange rom. Once I had done that, I then installed the .cab file from my storage file, and it installed without a problem. I then installed my Navigon GPS software and that work fine as well, with the coordinates in arabic when I have the english with arabic support selected. One program that doesn't work with it is the HTC home plugin which is what I believe caused my original installation crash.
When I sold my friend my other SPV M700 I had upgraded the Rom to the Dopod WM6. the Arabic cab file was then installed onto that without a problem as well. Maybe it only works over an english version, I don't know to be honest.
My guess would be to install the cab file onto the rom without any external programs being installed and and then reinstall each program one by one to see which ones work ok and which ones don't.
I will upload some photos of it when I get back home later to show you it on my M700.

Yes, it works fine for me, and works fine when english with arabic support is enabled.

agree'd, seems a bit on the rough side..

Sorry, I did not mean to offend anyone, ofc we had many great ROMs, many people liked those. But myself I simply never felt the rush in my device as in the time when it was running on Kozhura's WM6.0 ROM

well this is quite a pickle..
all i see after flashing the rom w/ the included tools
is this. i've got to try a few things still, but if anyone has any idea's let me know. i've tired soft reset, hard reset (clear all data in memory", remove the battery for 5 mins w/ a soft reset.

Any reason you have gone back to the large (130M) nbf format? (Is this to do with the FAT32 partition initialisation?)

working on using modpp to reduce the pagepool from 4.5mb to 4.0mb and reflash the rom to my hx4700 using the bootloader app.
i'll post when it's done flashing.

- CWTimeOut.exe, CWTimeOut.lnk, and Blocklist.txt files in the ROM. These files belonged to Dockware.
- File \windows\create alarm Note.lnk

I'm not totally sure, but I think those keys are needed for sending files via Infrared (in the File Explorer context menu).

nope still not working. wondering if the rom was cooked for a 128MB upgraded hx4700 and i'm using a 64MB hx4700?

I can't get it to work either. In the meantime Kozhura has edited his first post to indicate that the new version is coming soon (the download link is removed). So, we'll just have to wait a bit more for this one.

i'd like to think of myself as a tester, adding to the gathered knowledge of what will and won't work with the devices.. i could almost be certain when i say that it's highly possible that some of the reasons behind the problems that people run into cooking these roms is that the hardware in the hx4700 might not all be the same. IE from different manufactures, different revisions, etc.. and thats causing some of the issues that we're seeing.. as some of us don't run upgraded hx4700 and some of us do as well as some of us owning earlier and later revisions of the hx4700.
makes it difficult for the people cooking the roms.
i've got faith in kozhura and andy their previous roms speak for their talent.
hopefully they'll keep putting out releases so we can test them and add to the information thats out there..

iolite manila 2d seems to be very heavy for artemis
initially i was getting gps issues with it
and it consumes a lot of memory

I just flashed, and it seems o be fast. But i missed sdhc.

Missing Things
First thx for this german ROM
But there are some difference between your english ROM and this one.
- SDHC Driver missing
- TouchFlow (not Manila)
But could be installeds seperatly.

I try to re-cook your clean rom. But after 3 Days i decided to give up and ask a pro! I startet with a german version of Artemis-Dimondish. This Version is called LooksLikeTouch6.1 from Mossi. In this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=465204) you posted a SYS and a XIP Folder. So far everything is ok. But i have problems to find the right OEM-Folder.
Is it possible for you, to upload it somewhere, so everyone who want's to re-cook this rom has a base to start from?

Another question: Is it right that Esmertec Java is not included? Is there also any way to get a CAB? I would need it for installing Opera Mini.

Opera Mini V8 FINAL 4.2.14320 with Esmertec Jbed 20090217.5.1 as a cab. you also get a shortcut of Opera in your Startmenu and don't get security warning when you start Opera. I didn't tested this version because I'm still happy with Opera 4.1

Where do we find this "foxconn rom tool"? Oh, and shouldn't the memory card be formatted FAT-32 instead of FAT-16?

Download file, extract, you will get hpimage.bin and bldiag.nb0. you need now sd card, it cant be bigger than 2GB, becouse bootloader doesnt support more, format it to fat16, insert into your device, press and hold calendar and windows keys, and next press reset button, after it will reboot flashing proces will start.

210 doesn't work too. Haven't heard it to be working on any of ipaq 21x series :/ as none of the people have written about a sucsessfull upgrade.
There is still something missing in this update

it's important is which SD card use!!!
for me not work with SanDisk ultraII 2gb SD card
but with microSD in SD adapter working
press Calendar + Start button together then press reset and hold 5 sec
release reset

I read on the Brighthand threads that the ROMs aren't working, and if it's a problem with the IMGFSs I gave you I'd be more than happy to upload the dumps(or OEM and SYS folders) for you or someone else to try and make working ones.

I can figure it out. Has anyone tested this on a HP ipaq 111 (or equivalent) rom.

What does 6.1 and 6.5 give you over 6.0?

Honestly? Not-crappy drivers, primarily. Also better UI. There are lots of fixes to both versions, like ZERO CF drain, faster loading and processing in general, less space used, things of the like. So very worth it. This baby is one of the best equipped PDAs on the market, so it should also be one of the fastest. Now it's finally getting there. Great news, i say. Good luck!

Be interested in testing new versions of WM6.1 and WM6.5.
I wonder if it is possible to return to the original version installed on the IPQ 214.
I have an Ipaq 214 Enterprise Handeheld in Spanish.
