Hello All. How many people are interested in having Arabic on their P3600? I have just bought a program that will install arabic onto your P3600. The file is just less than 5 Mb in size. I know this program works as one of my friends bought my unlocked SPV M700 off me and installed this arabic program onto it, and it works fine.

so i interessted
ok, will try and upload it to rapidshare today. What I will say is that it's best to install it from your memory card, and also do a clean storage on your P3600 first. I tried installing it intially and it crashed, causing me to reinstall my ROM. however with no other external programs installed, it installed without a problem.

hi,
there are many problems with you .cab:
- no access to the programs through the start menu
- the items are written from left to right are not connected.
with those major issues I can't make more tests...
I have P3600 with Faman 4.03 version in french maybe I must install the .cab in an english version?

I'm not sure what's causing your problem is to be honest. I have an Orange SPV M700. When I first installed the cab file, it crashed and I had to reinstall my original orange rom. Once I had done that, I then installed the .cab file from my storage file, and it installed without a problem. I then installed my Navigon GPS software and that work fine as well, with the coordinates in arabic when I have the english with arabic support selected. One program that doesn't work with it is the HTC home plugin which is what I believe caused my original installation crash.
When I sold my friend my other SPV M700 I had upgraded the Rom to the Dopod WM6. the Arabic cab file was then installed onto that without a problem as well. Maybe it only works over an english version, I don't know to be honest.
My guess would be to install the cab file onto the rom without any external programs being installed and and then reinstall each program one by one to see which ones work ok and which ones don't.
I will upload some photos of it when I get back home later to show you it on my M700.

There was some trouble with initflashfiles in the kitchen,you should think how to solve it

when i load the rom load tools it says Rom error invalid for device or designed for a later device.

Works allright for me. It's a bit of a shame that you removed NavPoint. As it turns out, I used it more than I thought. Good ROM, though.
G-R-E-A-T work. After soft reset it starts faster almost twice time! (Before 47 sec. and now 27 sec.! (Lite build 110607). Keep on it.
Thanks for this ROM, I just installed it, now re-installing my software again.

I installed it too, but i think it doesnt work on schaps roms. because when I install those cabs, its says after install "this is a old version so it maybe doesnt work correct" ..I can tell you one thing, I doesnt! i get a empty space on my to-day screen..

On wich version of Schap's ROM are you ?
Because I've seen two versions for this: WWE & FRENCH... depends on you langage: The wwe version didn't work with my French ROM (3.30b)

Schap's will release HTC Home plug in it's future ROM, so I think he is already busy with it.

Solution
For those who can't get the HTC Home plug-in with my multilangual ROMs other than english, don't be surprised as those files were extracted from a WWE version Touch ROM!
By renaming some files or translating MUI you should be able to make it work correctly, there is no reason as it works flawlessly with my ROM, even in French!

I have an english ROM updated with WM6 from HTC , I've installed HTC Home, Pocket Informant , Clauncher and many gratis programms
I want to install a french ROM , will be all the programms erased ? shall I have to reinstall all ,
will it be possible to come back to the english version if the french is not good enough ( I think to install a french rom found here ,I've aleady seen I have to reinstall TomTom)
First of all : I have copied all of the directories on my Computer (on Vista)
Installing HTC Home , spb mobile shell ( trial) and other programms or Today's plugins I had some problems ( soft reset or change to today settings) I don't want to have a P3300 not working !!!!!

All your Windows directories? You should just backup your own files and put them on your Storage Card. Flashing a ROM doesnt clear your Storage Card.

yes everything will go back to "factory settings" just factory settings for the new rom you are flashing
one thing I don't understand if storage card is not erased , how can I have the programms in : Start Programms after installing new rom

You will have to create manually the links to your programs in the storage card.

I just got my artemis and want to install the smallest and quickest ROM thats the least battery consuming.
As i read and search this awesome forum i found that it might be the:
YuE_WM6.1_v4.4_LiteSE_WWE
but apperently there is supposed to be a
"Extraclean" version thats even smaller?
But this one i cant find anywhere to download. is there a "extraclean" and is it in english? (or so that i can change it to english after the installation or something like that)
are there any compability problems with any applications i might wanna install on the artemis later on these what i understand stripped small ROM´s?
All i wanna have working when i install it is a gps navigator appl. (route66 to avoid gprs fees.)
and VITO´s Winterface, TCPMP, MORTPLAYER and Resco keyboard.
what does the WWE stand for?

If Resco Keyboard is installed, will that not be installed as an English keyboard? Im not too sure as all my ROM's have been WWE.
No it is possible to install other language keyboard.

This cab changes the language of the keyboard to english

Tried through SD flashing and success. Follow wiki.
Free Flash 63,14MB (with pocket controller and ALL_ENG_SIP.cab keyboard, without over 65MB).
Free RAM 24,13 (with running active sync and pocket controller, without over 26MB).
After installing ALL_ENG_SIP.cab russian keyboard definitely dissapear, but at dialpad
and at contact order bar stays russian symbols.

Tell me one thing.
Why do you want this ROM if you have availlable one of the best clean ROM of that kind arround. The Artemis touch vanilla 4.02 has 55mb total storage memory and 27mb free program memory and is stable, fast and very clean.
Is that only for the 12 meg of storage diference?

i am trying to flash my device using SD card but when i follow the instructions in Wiki i cannot do it. I am pressing the record button down and pressing the RESET button as explained. And suddenly i can see a white screen with "searching for sd card" message then it switches to the 4 coloured screen which indicates the version information and it freezes as it is. I had doubt about my sd card but when i turn on the device i can see there is no problem with it.
Would you please suggest how can i flash my device with SD card ?
Or would you please tell the best way to learn how to upgrade my device with a ROM.

iolite manila 2d seems to be very heavy for artemis
initially i was getting gps issues with it
and it consumes a lot of memory

maybe you should try core player

But there are some difference between your english ROM and this one.
- SDHC Driver missing
- TouchFlow (not Manila)

I try to re-cook your clean rom. But after 3 Days i decided to give up and ask a pro! I startet with a german version of Artemis-Dimondish. This Version is called LooksLikeTouch6.1 from Mossi. In this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=465204) you posted a SYS and a XIP Folder. So far everything is ok. But i have problems to find the right OEM-Folder.
Is it possible for you, to upload it somewhere, so everyone who want's to re-cook this rom has a base to start from?

didn't test the rom yet, but as my artemis is kind of broken at the moment i'll have to flash in the next days. Could you tell me if (the german version of) office is integrated? And if not, is there anyone who could provide a download-link?

yes office German is integrated (word excel power point)
but one note is removed
i can give you a cab of it if you want
OneNote CAB would be great
Another question: Is it right that Esmertec Java is not included? Is there also any way to get a CAB? I would need it for installing Opera Mini.
Opera Mini V8 FINAL 4.2.14320 with Esmertec Jbed 20090217.5.1 as a cab. you also get a shortcut of Opera in your Startmenu and don't get security warning when you start Opera. I didn't tested this version because I'm still happy with Opera 4.1
