Hi All
Since the release of the official WM6 roms I have tried both the Dopod rom and VP3Gs AT&T rom and with both I have trouble getting the vibrate for incoming calls, SMS and emails to work.
On the Dopod rom it was intermittent, changed to VP3Gs rom and now it doesnt work at all. Never had this problem before.
Im using PhoneAlarm, have tried various different versions fom the official release to several of the most recent betas and still no vibrate. Dont think PhoneAlar is responsible.
Read all the other threads and no one else seems to have mentioned this so Im wondering if its just me.

Just tried on my Vodafone 1605 with Dopod ROM - working fine.
Not here
tried them all, never was an issue here

My Vodafone V1605 has lost vibration after upgrading to Dopod ROM. I'm also having problems with keyboard (sometimes, none of the front buttons work, but side ones work fine), and sometimes screen gets white, and comes back when you switch off and on.
I didn't know the cause, so I went back to an HTM WM5 rom, and to ATT or Black Satin, with no success.
any ideas?

Yea i did initially...i applied to com button/vibrate cab and it fixed it after a full reset (hold power button down to turn off the device)

Well, for no apparent reason its seems to have started working again during the day today. Still dont think its that reliable so I'll try the com button / vibrate fix cab if I can find it.

I switched to the official ROM, and vibrate was working initially, but just like you it has stopped working. I'm going to try the above method, but please post if you find the proper fix.
I had to add the vibrating cab to my 8525 with vp3g 3.0. Funny thing is, I'm sure his hybrid had vibrating included. I don't remember-- Senior moment!

yea it did...what i remember was that when i pressed and held the com button...the vibrate icon showed up but it did not vibrate like it use to and i tested it several times. The com/vibrate button cab can be found all over the place and i'm sure it's on the wiki here somewhere...or it could be a coincidence that the described method worked

Did happened to me couple of times with Rom updatings.......try to tap at the bottom of your pda between the IR and the USB port..it fix mine.

I lost my vibration alert too.., tried above trick. no luck.
I think I'll try the vibrate cab, should I?

I do have the similar problem with the vibrate after upgrading to wm6.
I have tried to re-install the ROM again but it still does not vibrate.
Any kind soul can advice?
I was having the same problem but i knew it wasn't any software. I think there's some problem with the vibrator as in the hardware. I sent it into the service center and they replaced it for me. it was a faulty vibrator. So its all good now. The VIBRATOR works now... lol.. that sounds soo wrong...

I'm having currently some problems with the phone part of this great device. Sometimes when I answer a call (with the hardware key) it takes 2 to 3 seconds before I can hear anything from the person calling me. The same happens when I hang. It takes time to hang the conversation, so I never know if it's really hanged..
Lately I'm having also problems with the "today" app I think. It never shows up and the upper bar (status?) does not change when I receive a call.
I went trhu a hard resseting and restore (Sprite) process 1 week ago, but I had the phone problems before that...

by the sound of it, you have upgraded to the wm5.0 rom, i have these problems also, until there is a known fix for the minor bugs, with the today screen you can just go into settings and today, then come out again, and what wasnt there before should be there now, also , have you tried to upgrade the radio rom too??? 8)

PLease, someone help!
Think the camera on my 8525 was working fine lastly before i downgraded my Radio to 1.40...I have tried updating firmware n number of times still the camera wont work...Hardreset softreset nothing is bringing the camera back...tried 3rd partycam tools and it launches and disappears in a sec... searched the forum and looks like im the only one...
Anyone have any suggestions ? do you think i burnt my camera or something?I do have an option to get it sent back..but wanted to see if someones suggestion here helps fix it so others can learn from me...

Ok its fixed now... Dont know what fixed it... maybe the constant upgrade of roms or the ppcreset... or pulling the battery out and leaving it for 10 mins... But finally i dont have to send it in for a refurb... Thanks for anyone who looked and thought of a solution... If anyone else has this again they can try all the things i tried...
1) Upgrade/ Downgrade Radio multiple times.
2) upgrade SPL multiple times.
3) Try all the cooked roms
4) Revert back to ATT wm5 rom.
5) Reset device with Reset PPC
6) SuspendPPC (These i found in the black rom under system Folder)
7) Pull the battery out for 10 Mins.
Hopefully something in this combo works... cant point out which since i did too many things...

Disappearing Camera? Me Too.
My Camera Disappeared a few days ago, the hardware button on the spine does not bring it up and the application does not run, it just brings up the photo viewer. I even run the exe and get nothing. Also note, "Brighter Screen" does not work nor "Bigger Screen". For the record it's a Hermes100 and its running ROM Pro BLACK 3.0.1 and Radio 1.41.00.10.
I am looking all over, but I can't find anyone with the proper solution. May I should take my Cingular 8525 back and see what they say, they are probably going to say it was my fault when they see the new radio and Rom, but the problem happened with the original ROM.

Did you do everything i mentioned above?
try different combinations. I had the exact same rom and radio as you...
when i downgraded the radio it took the camera out for some reason.
If i were you i will try different things before the last option of sending it back for a refurb.

My problem is that when i make a phone call i cannot hang up. The system seems to lag. i touch end...nothing happens, i push the red hangup button...nothing happens, then after SEVERAL seconds it finally hangs up.
Did not have the problem with wm5 but every rom for wm6 has had this issue on my phone.

Please help!!! its really annoying when i dont want to leave a voice mail but cant hang up.

i am running black shadow with radio 1.43 and i have the same problem, the response time for hangup on shadow is really long!! i have to press the red cancel button 4-5 times to get a call to end
Try the latest LSVW 0616, it functions well and seems very stable.

Excuse me but was that REALLY helpful? If I was to post "my Chevy truck won't turn off" would you post "get a Ford truck, they do"??

I had the same problem with the 143 radio.. First I installed the 141 radio and then reinstalled Shadow. works fine now.Try reinstalling Shadow.
could this actually be the radio? only reason i ask is i had just flashed radio 1.43 and shadow at the same time, can someone please tell if it is jus a radio reflash or do i have to go through and reinstall shadow as well?
There is a new 3g dialler made available by Jasjamming at his new home that will now work on the Shadow rom, this will probably help you.

Actually that might be helpful because the Chevy maybe doesn't work. I have had the same problem with Shadow and had to switch. I am using 1.43 and Schap's 3.30b now and it seems to be better. Custel's worked ok too - waiting for his next update.

Maybe it DOES work, just not for you. Be careful when you dis a ROM here my friend, especially when you're using the latest GSM.
I had the same problem with Black Shadow IV using Radio 1.43 and 1.41, Now i use 1.40 and it is working fine.
i have tried 1.43 and 1.41 and neither fix this, ill revert to 1.40 and see if that fixes it.

Dont have such a problem. When testing black shadow with 1.43 with different software, there was a lot of issues - in general the rom was very unstable etc. - almost permanently freezing. The test (not very scientific) showed that all kind of battery status software are causing problems - My solution was to reinstal the shadow only, not using any battery status packages, and the rom is performing really well now.
The problem might come also from some kind of incompatibility with the network of your carrier - as I got the 1.43 is not Hermes radio. Pumpiron579, who had the same problem also seems to be on Cingular
In such a situation I wll install new radio (e.g. 1.40), and new Rom (not shadow) too, and see.
Same problem with me on Shadow. Let's try Shadow lite or dymond 3.5 BS, it's work fine for me.

dont mean to sound funny guys, bet everyone is trying radios and no-one is getting the right effect, might i suggest that it is a common problem within shadow.
I have tryed backdating 1.43 -> 1.41 -> 1.40 -> flashing to 1.38
this is getting silly now, 20 mins per flash lol i have been flashing for nearly 80 mins (if i was on a street i would have been arrested by now lol)

Hello people, I really need your help with this one..
I have the o2 XDA Trion, with their OEM firmware of WM6. Everything was working fine, but just recently when ever the screen goes into standby(Turns off which ever jargon you may use) then no notifications will happen; however if the phone is active.. with the light on then all notifications happen fine.
I have just flashed the firmware again last night using the softkey and soft reset.. then I installed VJToggle(For buttons on today screen), Rltoday, SL2U(Apple slide locking program).. it still does it! I removed each application and still no joy.
I am starting out with an absolute clean install this morning and hoping that my problems are resolved.. has anybody have any ideas?

The problem still exists... The only application I have installed/used is PIMBackup.
So I am going to restore the phone once again and NOT use PIMBackup to see if it makes any difference...
Hasn't anybody got any suggestions for me?

I don't know if anybody else has experienced this... maybe it is just my ROM.. I am using the O2 WM6..
If I use PIMBackup then it causes all the problems above.

you can try other roms and see if they have the same problem.
Try one of the more popular ones
like schap's roms or K's roms

One problem I came across is that on a phone conversation my voice can hardly be heard on the other side

I don't think I ever turned WOW EFFECTS on (at least not intentionally).
Where would I find this setting?

1. Start up animation disabled
2. SetAcousticparam in their config file
these 2 are absolutely essential, else your phone voice would be low.
though mine is more or less confirmed to be a hardware problem. if you flash the official HTC asia rom and still get this problem. yeah your case is like mine i guess. other then that, if you find out something else, do lemme know

ringtone volume is very low in 6.1 (19209).
well, with PDAViet Rom I don't have WOW EFFECTS in my personal settings. However, I did find in the Artemis forum a small cab to deactivate the WOW Effects.
Since I installed it the problem is gone!
unfortunately that doesn't work for me. i've tried mine with freshly installed cab files, even those from official HTC, with no WOW effects activated. still doesn't work.
Worst still it's a random problem. soemtimes it works, sometimes it dosen't... oh well..
do you have a2dp headset? I have PDAVIET ROM and bluetooth a2dp headset and every time i finish listening to music, turn off bluetooth i have no sound on my device. No alarms, reminders, ringtone, sms notyfications etc. Had this isue in Faria ROM too.
