HOW TO: Create a Distribution list WM6 - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hi all,
I want to know whether it is possible to create Distribution Lists using Windows Mobile 6 so I can send an email to multiple emailaddresses without having to add every single address each time.
And if so, how?
Thnx.
Arend

Found a program that can do it: http://www.pocketx.net/products/ecxpro.html
If someone has a freeware version of such a tool pls post it.
Cheers.

VPA III backup with preconfigured settings

hi all,
our company search some support for this scenario:
we use 500 handheld vpa III for our own application.
at the moment we make a backup/restore with sprite software.
we use the restore to prepare the vpa´s for our projects.
so we can replicate our application for example 50 project handhelds.
the problem we have we cant mirror the handheld configuration we need like manuel net selection or keyboard lock.
any one have an idea for a software we can take for that or who is specialist in these questions ?
thx a lot
best regards
userv
By following the wiki instructions I made a personal_settings.cab file that I install after a ROM flash and all my settings are there, including bluetooth pairings and ring tone selection to name a few. Basically all it is is a series of registry entries. Easiest way to test this is to export the registry of a clean unit and then export a copy of a completely modified unit. Compare the two files and extract the differences and use a tool like Win CE Cab Manager to create a cab that you can install via a cooked EXTRom.
This is not a detailed set of instructions but should definately get you pointed in the right direction.

Bk100 driver for WM6?

is possible use the Bk100 keyboard with wm6? how?
Hi,
I know you asked about it few days ago, but maybe someone will find this information helpful:
I don't know exactly about WM6, but I am using it without any problems on WM6.1 professional on my HTC Diamond, I just installed drivers from CD-ROM which I found in package
The only bad thing is folded-up stand - it isn't good for holding my Diamond.

Hi tyran666 ,
I had buy one of this BK100 from MSI, but I can't run the install software because it's always stop and send a error message.
I tried install in Windows Vista and XP, and the problem is I do not have the .cab file, only the .exe for PC installation. For and unknown problem, the software stop before extract the drivers.
This keyboard (BK100) do not have support in MSI page (the same in pages from kingman and darfon, where it is referenced as G981). - MSI did not respond my ask for support.
In my research in web, you are the first one with which that the keyboard works.
The install software that came with your keyboard is: /MicrosoftStack/FoldableKeyboard.exe (2/2/2007, 84KB)? Can you send to me the driver you used, or inform where can I get it?
Thanks in advance

How to install the BK100 over problems with the software provided
- this was used to install in X800 glosffish (ETEN)
You need to use the folowing files (I extract those from the original software):
BT Foldable Keyboard.exe and
BT_DKBdriver.exe
The 'BT_DKBdriver.exe' obviously is the driver, and needs to be saved in folder '\windows' in the device.
The file 'BT Foldable Keyboard.exe' should be saved in a folder. This is the application that starts the keyboard uses.
You need start the bloetooth in accordance to MSI manual, before using the keyboard . The keyboard password is 0000.
If anyone needs the files, ask using email.

[Q] How to use DirectDraw?

Hi, I come from China.
These days, I get a problem.
That's my title said. How to use DirectDraw on Windows Mobile?
I found a file named "ddraw.h" in WM6 SDK folder.
But it is only used by c++.
I want to use DirectDraw by c# or vb.net.
Is there any idea?
Better to be a library...
Thank you!
[My English Doesn't well, Sorry.]
如果你会中文那就太好了:
这些天我遇到了一个麻烦,就是怎样在WM上使用DirectDraw
我在WM6的SDK里找到了一个ddraw.h文件
但是那是c++用的
而我是使用vb.net的
有没有办法呢?
最好是一个类库……
谢谢……
Anybody know it?
How can u draw your UI?
Did you check out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=487354 and http://blogs.msdn.com/b/marcpe/archive/2006/03/03/542941.aspx which it references to as well?
The developer there seems to have similar issues and is using C# to access DirectDraw (by using a specially compiled dll.)
Since I'm no WM developer (yet), I can't help you out any further... but I'm sure some searching even on this forum alone should be able to provide you with enough information to get you started.
Oh and... welcome to xda-developers!
Thank you for your reply Art4.
I know that`s a solution. I tried to compile ddraw.h to ddraw.dll, but failed.
I'm very bad in c++, only VB.Net...
.h is just header which you include in your project (C++). The target .dll is already compiled somewhere in WM or the SDK. In that .h you can see what functions have which parameters and you can via interop and marshalling put them in your C# (or VB.NET) project and call them from there.

[Q][Sense 2.5] require[...] ?

Hi @all,
I've donwloaded the manila kitchen and also the current release of the manila package.
Now I want to write a new Tab and have some big problems with that. I hope you can help.
1st I've thought about looking into existing code (eg Twitter Tab). There I've my first problem. They use a script file called machine_status_svc, CLuaTweetList_svc and CLuaTweetEdit_svc (used in "5518259a_manila" or "twitterutil.luac"). They also use a function called CLuaTweetList_Instance() and I think which is included in CLuaTweetList_svc.
Now my problem: I can't find these files. Can anybody help?
2nd I've check the registry on my mobile and found the key HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\HTCService. There are some dll files registered. I think they will work as background service during the manila is running. Now I want to write this kind of service too.
So does anybody know how these dll file have to be implemented? which procedures/functions are required and which aparameters etc?
I still have som other questions, but maybe I can solve them if I've got a reply to these at first.
I'm sorry but I don't find anything in the web about there questions.
I hope for your help! - Thanks!
Does maybe anybody know if HTC is providing these information?
If yes does anybody maybe also know a direct contact address (e-Mail) to get it?
Thanks :'(

WCE platform added.
Got error "Load applications list error..."
Some minutes ago I installed 'wAppStore.cab'. Basically it works on my Windows Embedded CE 6.0 unit (.NET CF 2.0 is default, but I upgraded to .NET CF 3.5, hence I don't know whether .NET CF 2.0 is enough), but I got error "Load applications list error..."
This app can be installed on My Storage (Omnia i900), right?
Error "Load applications list error..." still persists
I newly installed wAppStore (2012-02-06 19:28), the error previously reported still occurs. BTW: after 1st run, the xml-file got created.
