Normally Voice Speed Dial should be in Settings and not in Programs.
I have used Voice Speed Dial quite a lot in WM5 as I controlled almost totally by voice commands (calls to contacts, applications/utilities) my device.
I have recently upgraded to WM6 and with this rom (not having Voice Speed Dial in Settings) you can open it in Programs (so you can access its function but not the configuration/options), you save some voice tags and once you have closed it you cannot open it any more in order to add/remove/edit voce tags....
I hope I made myself understood... Any suggestion as how to fix this is welcome.
I have also noticed that WMP does not play MP4 files.... am I missing something?
Whatever WM6 rom you have flashed on you device, please check if this/these bug/s (?) is/are there and if not PLEASE tell me which rom dis you flash.
Thanks in advance,
SiperX

I have the Xingular 8125 (also known as Wizard), and I am happy with it. One annoying thing is that in bright sunlight with sunglasses it is impossible to see the screen. unfortunately it is also impossible to see the dial pad if you need to make a phone call. Coes anybody know of a way or perhaps a freeware program that would allow me to simply say the numbers I want to dial?
there is ms voice commander but it's not free
Thanks, but I am not really looking for a full fledged voice command system. Just something that allows me to dial vith my voice. I know that I can assign voice tags to entries in the contact list, but that doesn't help me when I need to call someone who is not in my contacts.
I use Vito Voicedial. Simple and does exactly what you want.
http://vitotechnology.com/en/products/voicedialer.html
It's no freeware. (BTW there are many cracks around to rgeister the program)
Vito is not as good as speed voice dialer and eats a ton of application memory (7mb). The registering process is device dependent and they have a limit as to how many times you can change device. It sucks.
I would like to remove voice commander and install voice speed dialer that I had on my 8125 to my TYTN...
But do not know how to find the speed phone dialer
Eric

It works almost as good as the MS VC and one of the hacked versions will work for your Wizard.
Hello,
I recently bought the g-smart i128.
The device comes with the Cyberon Voice Commander which i found very complicate to use.
I have install the Cyberon Voice Dial on top.
The funny part is the using my SE HBH-PV705 BT handset, when i press the connect button it just launches the commander or (after tweaking) its just connects the audio BT profile nad the ppc displays the dial pad.
I need the Cyberon Voice Dial to be launched by pressing the BT key NOT the Cyberon Voice Commander.
Running the sddialer.exe from the g-smart, works. Launching it from the BT doesn't.
Can anyone help ?
Thanks
Cyberon Voice Dial Instead of Cyberon Voice Commander
Hi,
Try the following. Rename the voice dial file (I don´t remenber the name, I think is Sddialer.exe or something like that) to voicecommander.exe. There will be an pop up alert saying that you are goint to overwrite a rom file, it doesn´matter you overwrite it.
Now it will be work.
Good luck

Hello Fernando - I have tried that, but then, when i press my connect button on the BT, it opens the audio channel with the phone and it displays the dial pad.
I installed MS Voice Dialling and it works better. still i would prefer the Cyberon Voice dial...
just wondering
I know that When I installed MS Voice Command I had to reassign the button under settings. Once I reassigned the button from Voice Dialer to Voice Command it worked fine. Did you try that?

The MS Voice dial works fine after deleting the sddemon.exe from STARTUP directory.
My wish is to have the Cyberon Voice Dial to work and not MS Voice Dial or the Cyberon Voice Comander.
Any other suggestions please ?
Why do you prefer the Cyberon voice dial?
Thanks

I dont, but i cant make the Voice Commander to work. I wish i had Voice Dialing working, but its not...
I do prefer Voice Dialer to Voice Commander. It is just easy and works and dials who i ask it to (I don't care that I have to record my own tags) VCmd, MS Voice Command et al are all simply too complex and get it wrong too often in the car, which is where I need voice dialling!!!!
Unfortunately I have lost Voice Dialer since flashing my orange m600 with a dopod ROM, so can you tell me where you got the install program as I cant find it
Thanks

voice dialer vs. voice commander
when I upgraded my apache to wm6 I lost voice dialer. Found voice commander but it gets it wrong more than right, even with voice tags added. never had a problem with voice dialer, so when I saw a cab for voice dialer, I installed. weird thing, though, is while voice dialer showed up in the settings and I could add tags to my contacts, I could not find the program to actually use it. Can anyone help?!
Hello all,
I recently upgraded my T-Mobile MDA C3 to WM6 with succes. The only downside to this new WM6 is that I haven't got the original voice dial software that comes with the T-Mobile version. I am now looking for a simple, lightweight voice dial application, where I can record my own voice per contact.
Does anyone know of an application that manages to do this well?
Thanks in advance!
Mee to
.. I agree.. i could also use this
take the voice control of the Eten X500 ROM, You do not need to save your voice for each record, because this software does it without this.
... thanx - but...
Hmm.. yes but thats part of the problem. Because that sounds like the Voice Commander in WM6 - And i don´t find it eays og god.. I actually would like to be abel to just record the voice info i need for each number, just like in my old WM5
Besides i must admit i´m not smart enough to extract it from the ROM, I newer tryid that
I have used a few programs that automatically change my contacts into speech so that I dont have to record my own voice. Im not very font of this method, because it requires english pronaunciation of my contacts' names. As I am from Holland, this just doenst go over so well. Thus I want to record my own voices.
I just want to use it for voice dialing: I'm not interested in starting programs with my voice. Most programs that do this run to slow to quickly dial a contact because they are hogged with features.
Is it possible to extract to voice dial software from the original T-Mobile WM5 rom? Because this software does exactly what I want it to do!
Hello,
i apologize should i have missed an existing thread on my problem. I found nothing.
Problem is: Using an Artemis (T-Mobile MDA III) Windows mobile 5.0 and Voice Command 1.6. VC deos not work properly on Voice controlled dialing neither from "Contacts" nor by voicing numbers to dial, one by one.
It worked well on my previous MDAII (Magician), WM3 and VC 1.5. I wouldn't like to miss it.
Calling up programs and info's (time, date, memory usage, rind-mode) etc. works well.
Thx in advance for any help.

I also use voice Dialing on my MDACIII with WM5, but i just use the standard software, works ok with that. it might be a conflict between Voice Command 1.6 and the standard software.
Once you have activated a button for Voice Command it should work fine, mine does.
Try a reinstall, and make sure you install to the device memory, not a memory card.
Put Original AT&T Voice Dial Program Back on Phone? (Missing windows/sddialer.exe)?
Upgraded to vp3g's 3.62 AT&T ROM for my 8525... and noticed when I got to setting up my voice tags a few days later that the voice dialer is not there (guess its not included in the ROM)... I guess most people use Cyberon Voice Dialer or Voice Command or Microsoft Voice Command... I have tried all of these and just simply prefer the original voice dialer that was included with my phone where I record my own voice for each voice tag I want to create (most "voice recognition" software doesn't work well with my appalachian accent, so I prefer to record the tag myself and only use maybe 10-15 tags so that's all I need).
Anyway, just looking to put the original voice tag/dialer software that came with my 8525 back on there, and doing some reading I notice I do not have a "sddialer.exe" file in my /windows directory....
I tried downloading a .cab that was 'supposed' to put these files back on my PPC but after running it nothing appears different and still no sddialer.exe and no new programs, icons, etc. on my phone.
Can anybody help?
***********ETA: READ ME!**********
OK, so I'm an idiot. The first Cyberon "Voice Dialer" program I had was actually a copy of the voice commander software someone had renamed to voice dialer. I happened to just notice the identical file sizes. I downloaded the correct Cyberon Voice Dialer .cab & installed it and this is actually the software I had before & was looking for. DOH! Sorry Guys. Mods please feel free to close/delete this post.
