Hi,
T-Mobile Germany offers an e-Mail Flatrate. They send your Mails to your phone.
Unfortunately, the configuration is sent via Configuration SMS which my phone doesn't accept. (Light goes on and off again...).
Does anyone know how to set up the P3300 manually?
Greetings from Germany

Going away next week so I want to bea ble to check my POP3 NTL email via GPRS.
At the moment I have my XDA iiS set up so I can check the email via my WiFi connection at home. This works ok, and I can send or receive with no problems.
However, when I try to create a new Messaging account, I'm really struggling.
FYI, my mobile company is Virgin and my email ISP is NTL.
I've already created the standard GPRS connection through Virgin, which works for for internet browsing etc.
So far i've:
1 - created a new messaging account called "NTL via GPRS" (to differentiate from the wifi account)
2 - Input my NTL email address
3 - User Information - my usual NTL user name & password
4 - Account type is set to POP3
5 - Incoming Mail Server is set to POP.NTLWORLD.COM
6 - Outgoing Mail Server is set to SMTP.T-EMAIL.CO.UK (i believe this is because Virgin actually runs on the T-Mobile network?)
When I click on the send/receive button, the GPRS conection is made, but then all that happens is the progress indicator just says, "connecting..." for ages, then I get 2 error messages - "timed out waiting for server - please retry" - and "Messages cannot be dwnloaded to your mobile device. Make sure you are connected and that your email account settings are correct."
Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Any help would be massively appreciated - thanks.
3 - User Information - my usual NTL user name.... did you set name only? try set [email protected]
Was anyone able to help here. I have exactly the same robelm with Tmobile in the UK. I would like to be able to send mail via GPRS but can't. I can receive it and I can do both on wifi.
The problem is some weard logic from the ISP's. You probably have an email account with the ISP that gets you your internet connections as well at home.
When using WiFi @ home you still send your email via your own ISP.
When you send email via GPRS, the email will be send via your GSM/GPRS provider of your sim-card which will be another telco/isp.
For some reason telco's/ISP won't allow you to send mail, using the smtp (outgoing mail) server of your own ISP. This is why it won't work via GPRS.
It very much depends on your telco company to get this working. I know the trick for vodafone in the Netherlands, but that won't help you I think. Most of the time some smart "googling" will help.
I my case the trick was to get an free account via the website of MyVodafone.nl
and on the PDA I defined an email account with an outgoing mail server that requires autentication and as autentication I used the u/p I created on the vodafone website. And the address of the outgoing mailserver in my case is authsmtp.vodafone.nl
BlackBerry Direct connect is on this ROM. Has somebody some experience with using this service in TM network. I am looking for some direct push mail solution and this one looks fine (ane paid :? ).
my main concern is, if it is possible to use for example mail2web service in combination with blackberry connect etc. etc. ... I do not have my own Exchange server.
and as I understand it .... if i want just Instant mails I dont need exchange server...am I right?
Hi all,
Has anyone successfully configured Vodafone (spain) Real Mail Client on any of the windows mobile 6 roms?
I've installed the client on my phone and configured it correctly, but the outlook client shows no emails just a blank screen.
Cheers,
I have the same problem. NO idea how to fix it.

Also I have the same problem in Italy but my dealer Vodafone said it was a hardware problem, and I change the phone the next days...
@oruam53,
i have tested emoze and it works fine on my athena with wm6
I tried to install Emoze but I fail because the certificate is not authentic.
I would also use the service Real Time Email by Vodafone because I pay the monthly fee
Hi, I upgraded my T-Mo MDA Mail to WM6 at the weekend and all is fine except for now my phone does not seem to be displaying WAP Push messages. anyone? Needing help on this as it is affecting my work
Did you check to see if you lost your WAP connections settings after the upgrade?
Go to Settings - Connections - GPRS and check. If you lost just create a new on with the correct settings for you mobile operator (you can find it on google or just call for support)

A WAP Push message is basically a text message with a URL embedded in it. All my inter settings are set up correctly (I do this sort of thing for a living) I just never actually receive the message :-s They should be delivered into the SMS inbox.

again you are thinking of Push email. My email is working fine and dandy. WAP push messages are also sometimes known as service messages and we use them when customers are looking to download JAVA games to their mobile. 99% of mobile devices support these service messages but the functionality seems to have disappeared on this version of WM6
i have the same problem with my mda3, please let me know, if you found a solution
Hi guys having problem sending e-mail. I have saw similar problems in the forums but as yet no solution that works for me. Problem is sending email from my desire with vodafone sim. Works fine over wifi but not with GPRS etc. I can recieve mail over GPRS but not send? My email account is with NTLWorld and I have tried NTLWorld settings and also NTlWorld POP3 settings and Vodfafone STMP settings that strangely appeared to work once but never again??? I know my NTLWorld settings are correct and I believe it is the STMP settings I need to alter. also wonder where the problem lies, with NTL.Vodafone or HTC? Hope someone can help.
Have you tried changing your outgoing mail server address for smtp?
First, try sending with smtp.vodaphone.net (authenticated) and if that fails, try send.vodafone.net (un-authenticated).
Thanks for help I have now found out how to do it. You join up Vodafone 360 and use smtp.360.com for server
Sent from my HTC Desire using the XDA mobile application powered by Tapatalk
That's perfectly normal with Virgin, and also with NTL and telewest before them.
for security reasons, and so they can trace spammers, you can only use their SMTP server from within their own network. So unless you are connected to your home wifi, or happen to be on virgin mobile, you have to use your mobile network's server to send your emails.
