I'd like to create my own web pages on the go. Is there a freeware HTML editor that anyone can recommend?
I found this one that works great for me

Is there a cheaper alternative to opera 8.60? Other than IE. Thanks
I think Opera is not expensive, only a few €,and it's a good program.I've been trying other web browsers and this is the best.

It is free and I find it great.
If you have any problems let me know.
I've tried Minimo (just google). It's also based on the mozilla engine and for free.

not that i promote this kind of stuff...
p.s. - i use netfront, when used in simple mode and smart fit it's fast and clear. Also if you go to any webpage from google mobile or gmail mobile google will autoformat it. Very nice for forums. Just email yourself a link to the forum (i'm sure there's an easier way to do this)
I thought it would be good if there is a way for users to choose what browser they wish to use when clicking on a link in their emails.
Does anyone know of such a utility?
I agree. Or in the RSS feed program. When I click on links there, it opens up Internet Explorer and not Opera, which is what I would prefer.
RSShub was opening Opera until I had to do a HardReset, and now it is Internet Explorer that I really detest. And I don't know how to change this configuration.
I must say that Microsoft did a great bad work on this mobile IE. It is unusable.
I think the following reg. hack will change the default browser : -
Under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\Shell\Open\Command and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\https\Shell\Open\Command replace with
"\Windows\OperaL.exe" %1

Click to collapse
Many thanks for this tip. Unfortunately it does not seem to work for me. Pocket IE is still the browser when web links on mails are clicked. Should it be Opera9.exe rather than OperaL.exe? Edit: nope, Opera9.exe does not work either.
Any more idea?
i have an app that i want to post an item on a user facebook.
i have found a method to do this, which on paper works - but on windows mobile it doesnt!
i have code that generates a html document with the relevent java script in it to trigger the FB.UI. This Java code opens up a popup window to enable the post to happen, the problem is that if i open up the generated html document in internet explorer it wont work because it automatically blocks pop-ups. Alternativly if i had a web browser control to my app it works, however the page is zoomed in way too much and theres no scroll bars or anyway of navigating the page!
i appreciate any help or suggestions. Using managed .net code (vb)
well, I've been working oonon a Facebook app and well. . Honestly, the only way to do it is using raw http socket communication with custom UI. the webbrowser object is pathetic at best. if you find another solution i would be very interested in knowing what you did. if you want help with Facebook communication, pm me and ill see what i can do to help
Who know where opera stores the bookmarks? Can I add some manualy?
Br,
Chris
I am fairly sure Opera Mini stores bookmarks in a single file not like IE in windows. I think therefore its not possible to easily add book marks to this file without the Opera Program or indeed even to read the file.
Sign in to Opera Link and edit the bookmarks online from your computer. Syncs with Opera Desktop version and Opera Mini/Mobile
They should store them within the app data.
I know this has been asked before but I still can't find what I.m looking for,I want to be able to read books on my HD and have tried a few ereaders but they either seem to be tied to book sellers or don't work.Does HTC do one for HD.
Perhaps someone knows a good one.

For Mobipocket look this site: http://www.mobipocket.com/en/DownloadSoft/default.asp?Language=EN If you download and install creator on Your PC, you can import pdf, word, txt and more docs, books from your PC libary. The creator automaticly create a .prc file from them and if you connect a pda via activesync send it to the device. It is very comfortable by reading even large books (harry potter) but also better reading .pdf docs.
And it is free.
