So is my need for wanting my Xda III compatible with my UMTS/3G sim. I've tried searching through this forum but none seems to answer my question.

You must have get this question asked several times. I am thinking of buying a t-mobile mda pro, but due to nature of my work i might have to use my Orage simcard in it. SO in a nutshell can this be unlocked i have read about the Lokiwiz02b.zip. Just wanted to make sure if this can unlock the mda pro i wanna get.
Any help would be really appreciated and again i thanks all the people here .

If you read the forum (eq HTC universal) you could read that it is not possible (yet).

I have been trying to find in this forum a straight forward yes no type answer to the following question ( but have been unable too ) :
My wife has just bought a T-Mobile(UK) MDA Compact III (ARTE110), there seems to be some confusion (maybe it's just me ) as to wether it is possible to enable wi-fi on this device. Is this possible ?
And before someone try's to Flame me as a none searching n00b I have searched and the results are somewhat confusing.

I don't see how it can be that confussing, everytime anyone asks they either get told to search, or they get told NO, THE UK T-MOBILE MDA COMPACT III HAS NO WI-FI HARDWARE IN IT.
The uk O2 XDA Orbit has, as does the HTC P3300, and funnily enough the Dutch T-mobile MDA Compact III.

OK maybe I should have said "Mixed" instead of confusing.
The o2 Orbit is a different spec than the MDA Compact III, it has less memory !
Anyway without wishing to get into symantics, thankyou for your answer.

have just bought the mda 3, its locked to t-mobile is there a t-mobile wm6 update yet ive been trawling but no joy.

Ive bought a nexus i9250 lock to O2 but Im on T-Mobile ...
Is there a way of sim unlocking the phone without paying ?
Ive contacted T-Mobile and they wont help so is there a way to do so myself ... ?

Have you tried calling O2 with the IMEI# and asking for the unlock?
I'm having a similar problem with the GN I bought from "wire4less" on Amazon.com.
May I ask, how do you know it's locked to O2? Where did you get it?
