Radio Upgrade
I would like to know if it is possible to upgrade to the latest Radio version without Hard Resetting the BA. Also the link to the Radio version 1.15 seems to be broken as it only links to version 1.13

Long time BA user, tried every WM5 ROM out there and just wish I was technical enough to try building one myself but I'm not. Just wondering though; since there are so many WM6 ROMS for the Wizard, and since the first WM5 ROMS were ported from Wizard... shouldn't we be able to get WM6 on the BA?

I was able to flash the radio after my WM5 upgrade.

LVSW 20070405_RUU_Hermes_WWE_3.23.0.6 - NEW WM6 ROM!

New LVSW rom just released! This rom has the following changes from 3-26-2007:
* It has NOT been put through Tadzio's tools, so, no white screens can occur. Also, this means less storage space.
* Fixed WiFi bug
* Fixed A2DP profile
* Added Bluetooth filetransfer
* Added HTC Today screen plugin
ROM is based on build 17736.0.2.0
Screen shots are coming....

Oh, special thanks goes to LVSW for creating such a cool rom, and of course to my special informant who gave me a heads up about this release.

I'm asking myself the same question. Is it really a LVSW release or is it a custom ROM based in LVSW?

It's a LVSW rom. No modifications done by me. Only changes from 3-26 are stated above.

Tadizo tools on the 3-26 ROM caused white screen? I have been using LVSW 3-26 since it came out and have not seen a white screen yet. I will try this new ROM of course but without the extra memory space I doubt it will be a keeper. thanks for a new ROM to play with though!

I'll tadzio it later on and package it up nicely.. This was done *fast*--basically from the original website to here in a few minutes flat

Why release this verion of ROM? I remember Loglas you release a OS only that take care of white screen base on 3-26 LVSW's release.
BTW, thanks for reconstruct the ROM. I am currently use that ROM, thanks again!

I remember that it was released by Olipro. In my case I haven't got the white screen issue (thanks God!) so I prefer the extra storage provided by tadzio's tool.

It seems to be not fixed. Until it's fixed you can use one of my CABs (look in my signature).

I have been reading post after post after post, just to continue down the path of confusion. Instructions and post installations instructions make any kind of upgrade even more complex and difficult - and the posts are sometimes difficult to follow.
Can anyone recommend the version of ROM that I could use with my device?
And associated instructions to upgrade this?
Also, is it worth upgrading to WM6 and if so, what would be the proper way to do it?

I realize that your new to this whole upgrade thing just as I was but please this the exact reason why the ROM cookers are pissed off. This is not the place to ask a question like that with all the info thats posted on the Wiki you are setting yourself to be flamed and possibly "brick" your Hermes.
My question is it seems like there are not many details about this ROM release. I thank you for sharing this new ROM with us but please inform us a little more about what is in this OS and Ext_ROM if its the exact same os the 3/26/07 build? I currently use WMB 2.0 but have some issues with such as memory leak and Voice dial not working. Do you know of any issues with this OS? Anything we should be "really interested" in?

see my guide for installing LVSW....this version i have not yet tested so havent written a guide for. the version in my guide is a good starting point.

Noobies!! There are threads that have ALLLLLLL the answers that you are looking for.
There is no need to clutter up a thread where we are trying out certain ROMs. We chime in on the thread to state problems, bugs and discoveries.
Never, Never, Never to ask how to place that ROM on there phone. It is not the right place.
I have Flashed Roms For years and have bricked 2. One even including my TYTN. I brought them back to life by reading and learning and trying things out.
We were all noobies once. There is no shame, but please use the appropriate threads.
Edit: Hey Elf!!! I for one thank you for the ROM. I have been here for almost three years and I never have seen it like this.

First you need know your device, so go to the wiki
Then my advice is install Hard-SPL you k see in the Hard-SPL Thread
Then to flash you need the Rom and read this Tutorial Flashing WM6 ROMs

Noticed that too. The good thing is, the donate information is the same as in Schap's signature, so while it may be a knockoff, the webmaster definitely has his/her heart in the right place...

Hey guys i have a xda exec.. universal whatever its called.....its very slow, cannot not connect to to the internet.... CANNOT USE wifi- it always choose to you the t-mobile internet instead of wi-fi... wi-fi doesnt even connect.... im fustraded and think of selling it. Can anybody help me fix my xda cuz i really want to keep it,.. but if i cant use it to its cabilities there is no reason to keep it... please please please any suggestions, and anything and everything will help. thanks!

that is a very old WM5 ROM, If you wan to stay with WM5 you could search for newer WM5 official ROMs or you could upgrade to WM6. WM6 ROM are not official. but genius guys have made(cooked) to run on EXEC. Anyhow before upgrading to any other ROM make sure to read and learn how to flash new ROMS

i would like to eventually go to wm6 but do not have clue on what to do.. do you have any suggestions on good sites on how to do it, also i have no idea where to learn how to flash roms. im a totally newbie...... can anybody help with easy instructions on how to uprage my device

You can find everything here on this site. Read the Wiki for informtion on how to flash a ROM. FOR new ROM look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=367448
Anyhow in WM6 the video call will not function be aware of it.

How to unlock/upgrade O2 XDA Diamond 1.37.207.3 GER

I am very confused about if flashing my XDA is possible or not. Using the Board-Search for some hours now did not give me the right threads. Pershaps I am using the false keywords.
So, if there is a thread I can solve my problem with, let me know, please. If not, I hope you can help me.
For about one year I have a O2 XDA Diamon. Systeminformation is as shown below:
ROM-Version 1.37.207.3 GER
ROM-Date 06/23/08
Radio 1.00.25.03
Prtocoll-Ver 52.26a.25.09H
I never updated the ROM. As I saw, there is a new O2-Firmware-Update. But I do not like the branded style. So, I want to flash it with an actual non-branded ROM in German.
As I read in other topics, that upgrading only works with special revisions.
For example here, written by rorydaredkign
yep you have to install a hardspl, either olipro's [which i think is unreleased] or the one made by the diamond project team.
then you can flash a new rom.
however, check your rom version in settings->system->device information
if it reads 1.34.831.1
it means you have a new spl that prevents you from flashing hardspl until the experts here create a work-around.

Is there a way to upgrade my XDA? The WM-Version I am running is very instable and crashes very often.
