Hi guys,
this morning I've found the firmware upgrade for Jabra BT620s. It solves all connection problems (no need to activate AD2P from Bluetooth Settings Applet) and improve quality.
Here the link.
http://www.jabra.com/JabraCMS/EM/EN/Misc/Software620s (server is very slow)
I hope this is a real news... I don't know when the update became available...
ByezZ
it's available now and i downloaded it on my BT620s
i feel the quality is better now
what is the best bluetooth headset for dopod 900?thanks
Wau
Wau this update is cool. I was happy with the old one but this rocks ) thnx for info .. I didnt know that it is possible to update firmware in my headset ...
Can you use the sync cable that came with your PPC or do you have to use one provided by Jabra?(If there is one?)

I think that a normal USB cable like the Universal one is required... But not completely sure... If Windows installed the driver without problems, everything should be ok... Let us know!
Nice. By the way, this update doesn't work with Windows 2003 x64. I don't know if it x64 or 2003 issue
Had to patch it on winXP
HTTP 404
Could anybody upload this update somewhere else?

Thanxxxx!!!
My apologies for posting so long after this thread died down, but I have a few people to thank and it is well earned credit regardless of how far after the fact it is given. To edeplano and marco.minetti for their posts about new firmware for the Jabra BT620s I am most grateful as it was the key to ending my troubles with this headset, and a special thanks to captainsensible2002 for the rapidshare link since the original link has gone down.
I can't tell you how deep a hole I've dug to find an answer to this headset's problem. When connecting my AT&T Tilt (HTC TyTn II), if I don't turn on the phone's BT radio first (as opposed to turning on the headphones first), I have to go through all those "activate AD2P from Bluetooth Settings Applet" steps. My original thought was to find a macro program to record all the steps and just link that to a hard key, which is when I stumbled on edeplano's post. After a bit more digging through Google to find out more about this new firmware, I got linked back to this thread. Thanks to you guys, I needn't worry about any of that "which BT is turned on first" nonsense anymore as the headphones connect regardless of which device is switched on first now. I haven't tested it for better quality yet as has been claimed, but I thank you all in advance if that is truly the case as well.
problem updating
Hello! I'm a new user of the Jabra Bt620s. I was trying to update the firmware but once i put the headphones y "software download mode" windows asked me for the driver but... it has no drivers! and the program SATURN don't want to give me the "NEXT" as an option.
Have anyone experienced this problem?
I've tryed to update the firmware in windows XP SP2, XP SP3 and Vista Ultimate.
PLEASE! HELP!! thanks
I too am having this problem. Is there not a driver? I have spent countless hours over the past couple weeks trying to find this stupid driver... it is like it doesn't exist!
No luck for me
Apologies for resurrecting this old, old thread. I'm stuck, and don't know where else to turn.
I bought a BT620S on ebay. It seems like a great device, but I would like to update the firmware to address some of the stuttering, etc.
I downloaded the firmware update software and ran it. I plugged in my headset and pushed the two buttons, until one of the lights changed to green. However, the firmware update software just sits there, with the Next button disabled.
Does anyone have an idea about how to update the firmware successfully?
im having the same issue has everybody else.. next button does not work
Lolz, this was an year old thread & I just thought we have something new. I bought BT620 after this date so my BT may already have this.
I also was annoyed by some of the small issues with the Jabra BT620s, and also found the jabra.com webpage useless for firmware update, and also found this thread.
Next never became avaiable in Win7 64 bit (not even in compabilitymode), but then I turned to my girlfriends old laptop with WinXP 32bit (all updates installed).
Here no problems were encountered, everything went according to installation instructions, and the update seems to have helped on the sound quality ecc.
Thank you so much for providing the link! I hope this can help someone else.
Got it!
6 computers in the house, but no Windows XP.
Visiting in-laws for the holidays, and they have only WinXP. I brought the firmware upgrade .exe and the headphones, and it worked. Awesome!
The sound sync isn't quite perfect: when I play Left 4 Dead, firing weapon the sound is a little late. But for anything else, it seems just fine.
Thanks folks.
I just upgraded my bt with this & now there is no A2dp support. Can anyone point me towards any other update? I need to rectify this as soon as possible.
Nightmare!

Hi there,
Apologies for no-doubt coming across like a complete noob, but I am
A friend of mine recently let me borrow his Orange SPV M2000. He has burnt a different firmware image onto it - it says 'i-mate' when it boots rather than 'Orange' (the details are below).
Anyway, I am having trouble connecting the device to my Jabra 250v headset. I have tried all kinds of different connection settings but I get the same message:
Connecting...
(followed, about 20 seconds later, by)
Connection failed.
- Waiting for device
x Connection failed.
The device paired OK. Also, I have managed to successfully pair with a friend's phone and transfer files from his phone to my device.
This is driving me mad! Surely someone must be able to put me out of my misery?
Thanks,
Nik

Hi,
I would have thought that at least one of the 40+ people who have read this post would have had *something* to say?
If there is a bluetooth FAQ or troubleshooting guide somewhere, please point me at it!

Maybe i can help. I have had your same problem with my 250v (the same as yours) and my wm2003 rom.
The difference is that you say it DOES pair and when i tried (several times, with different wm2003 bt stacks) it did not even show me an available headset.
Other BT devices and the PDA in total, was working great, but... no working headset. I tried a different brand headset (can you still return yours?) and it worked. I got the S2 and G2 working, but i have had lots of probs with crackling noises on the line, so it was terrible to use (read useless, to my opinion).
On different forums the ericson HB... series is mentioned as working great, in combination with ppc2003, but i was too late on returning the device to the store and 1st kept the s2. Also you can READ and LOOK UP YOURSELF on different fora that the widcomm/broadcomm stack is not so good at all because even with a good headset, you get lots of cracks on the line when the headset and ppc are more then 1 mtr appart (or even less).
The S2 (very plastic and noisy) was working very bad for me and then my boss gave me a new jabra 250v. Unfortunately it didn't was discovered on my wm2003 pda.
Ok, so far my problem. The solution.
I have upgraded to wm2005 via helmi's 3.2 WM2005 ROM (on wiki). This has a sort of ms bt stack wich supports the jabra very well. Now i have no cracks, perfect sound on headset (hearing and speaking) and all other main programs still work (among gps).
So u choose, return headset and try a different one of flash to WM 2005. All other wm2003 options that are there (audio dll's other stacks, etc) i have already gave a try and do not work!
Sorry for the impatience. Looking at what I wrote, and how soon after my original post, all I can say in my defense is that I am having a tough week and lost the plot a bit
Sorry.
Thanks for the info. At least I know I am not the only one with problems! I am tempted to upgrade to WM5, mostly out of curiosity but also because it looks nicer (a poor reason to upgrade, perhaps?). Then again, I think I'll drop into my local Orange store tomorrow and try a couple of different headsets. I have had my old one for years now and had been using it with my Nokia. I am sure they won't notice that I am not using an Orange ROM
I'll let you know how I got on - probably one the weekend.
Cheers,
Nik
I have an O2 XDA Mini S and have just purchased a pair of Motorola HT820 Bluetooth headphones. I have paired the two; however, I only get the Hands Free service (which works) but NO Wireless Audio. I have not installed any other software / drives and I am using WMP 10 Mobile to play the music.
Any help with this problem would be very much appreciated.
Thanks, Harold Clements
...Ok, I have been on this for about 4 hours now and I am starting to get a bit annoyed.
I clicked on Motorola HT820 and then went ‘Refresh’ and up popped ‘Headset’ so I ticked that and saved. I then clicked (and held) on Motorola HT820. The options that I get are Edit – Delete – Set as Hands Free. I think I should also have ‘Set as Wireless Stereo’ or something, but I don’t.
Please, has anyone any ideas?
Thanks, Harold Clements
Wirless Audio Hacks
I really could do with someone’s help!
I have read about the ‘hacks’ (zoad2p.cab, Tornado asdp, AKU2.6) but I am unsure:
a) if this is a solution to for problem / PDA.
b) what a hack is and why is it needed?
Please can someone help!
I don't know wich kind of PDA you have, as you can see everyone here calls their PDAs by their HTC's code name (mine is a universal), go to look the pictures of all the PDAs, find yours and search directly inside there, it will be much easier for you to find an answer.
One simple comment, your PDA has to have the Bluetooth high quality audio (is called be some PDAs in this way), see if your PDA does contain such feature, you have to activate it if you want to hear stereo audio, generally when you pair your phones for the first time, your PDA will show you the option already ticked, if you haven't see it, chances are that something is missing in your bluetooth profiles, go to your PDA's specific part of this forum and read, with patience and some luck, I'm sure you'll find whatever you need to get your PDA's stereo audio to work.
Most of the cases, are just the lack of the profiles or even installing another BT stack.
good luck
Thanks...
Thank you very much for your advice / reply, it was very much appreciated. It seems that my PDA is a Wizard. I will indeed search that part of this forum.
Thanks again,
Harold Clements
I don't think your phone supports A2DP profile. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Neither do i know if his phone supports it, I use to have an Ipaq 6340, it suppose that it didn't supported A2DP but with an BT stack extracted from another PDA (don't remember wich one) it worked, it didn't worked very well, it dropped audio more or less each 30 seconds for 2 seconds, someone said at that time that was processor lack of power -I didn't agree with this-, but I did no further investigation.
As far as I've understood, the main bottleneck for stereo profiles (or any deamanding profile in BT) is the radio, of course, if We don't have access to the manufacturers good information, good tools, much time and even more will is very hard to find a solution to anything, most of us do not spend lots of time with this things -it's not easy for anyone with a "normal" life-, and I'm not complaining!
It's just fine for me, the whole thing it's quite enjoyable like this, some more time spent in this way and it would become a second work.
So, may us have fun and keep an excellent forum up.

To be truthful, I know very little about what I am trying to do. All I know is that I can’t get the music side of the Motorola headset working.

a hack is getting a device which dont support a feature to do it anyway
if htc dident make your device to support a2dp == bluetooth stereo
you maybe be able to get it to do it anyway using a hack
if any hacks works for your device
as it differs
bluetooth support is never support for all profiles bluetooth have
plus there are bluetooth version 1 - 1.1 - 1.2 and 2.0

The zoia a2dp hack (zoa2dp.cap) is what you need, it will give you "Set as wireless stereo" but be prepared for pretty bad skipping, that has not yet been solved for all of wizards.
Also if you flash to a custom rom (Like Molski's 2.26 it'll have the patch automatically.)
Hi,
Sorry, I know this topic is like a boomerang, but after searching all the posts I still cannot find the answer.
I'm using O2 XDA IIi with WM 2003 Second Edition. The hands-free works like a charm, but the music over bluetooth is not.
Tried to apply the A2DP patch that I found on this forum and nothing happens. "Nothing" means there is no extra option in bluetooth settings (I expected something like "Wireless Audio").
I noticed that the .reg file make reference to bthutil.dll, which is not on my device. Is it possible to overcome this (like getting this lib from somewhere and copying it on the device)? I tried to look for software upgrades, but the only upgrade possible is buying a better PDA ;-|
A few people claimed they had got it working, so what am I missing? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Maciej
Ok, I fixed it
Below is the answer for the others sake:
Somehow I managed to download the file: "Broadcom Corporation BT-PPC AV.cab". Sorry, I can't remember where from, I think I got the link from this website.
Once installed on the PDA everything went sweet. A new profile for wireless audio appeared and now my HT820 work fine.
Cheers

can anyone offer any help?
Hi there, since I don't have any computer with windows vista, I wouldn't wanted to answer, but, since I also have been int this situation (when I asked for something else), well, here we go.
In your place I would first test the headphones with another computer, at least one that doesn't have vista, XP is well proven with bluetooth devices, as long as you do follow the exact instructions of the external BT dongle (if this is the case), why? Well XP stack does not work on many BT devices, so the maker of those, warns and explains you how to disable XP drivers and how to install theirs.
I've tested my HT820s long time ago, with a USB BT dongle (about 9 euro) and they worked the best I ever heard (considering that I bought them from a chinese Ebay seller and I'm pretty sure that they are a fake, or should I say, a copy of the original), the stack used for this BT dongle is a very well known one, the bluesoleil stack.
Then, you could pass on and try with vista, check your BT interface maker's site, check (if any) vista driver updatings, etc.
Hope this helps.
A few days ago I upgraded my HTC P3300 to the official WM6 rom.
All works fine except calling using my bluetooth carkitt.
The carkitt I have is the factory carkitt in a Peugeot 307SW. I've read somewhere this carkit is made by Parrot and can also be found in the Peugeot 207, Citroen C4 end some Seat models. Googling showed averyone with those carkitt's has the same problem sinde the upgrade to WM6. It all worked fine in WM5 by the way. I've also tested with several non official WM6 roms, but it's still not working.
Connection and pairing the phone is not the problem. I do see the contact list in my car display and I can even see the battery status. The problem is when I dail. My speakers mute my radio/cd sound, but I don't hear the phone through them. It's just silent. I can't hear the person answering the phone and I don't hear the dial tone. The strange thing it sometimes works. I have the impression it starts to work after I strated tomtom, but I'm not sure about it. What never works is when people call me. The phone rings, but when I answer I can't hear the person on the other side.
Is there any way to fix this? It looks like bluetooth 2.0 isn't 100% compatible with bluetooth 1.1 or it's a bug in WM6. There is no upgraded firmware for my carkitt available and like saif before, a lot of other car owners have the same problem.
Please help.

Has anyone found a solution for this? I have found deactivating the bluetooth and reactivating on the call works.
I would hope someone finds a solution. What would be the downside of going back to WM5?? I cannot remember why I upgraded now.....
I finally downgraded to WM5, but I'm interested in knowing if new WM6.1 ROMs have corrected the problem. We have both Blak&Blue and Vanilla versions based on WM 6.1
I've not upgraded to WM6.1 because I'm tired of problems. If someone try to install it, please report

Mine is an HTC P3300 locked to local Movistar provider. To downgrade, you must find a WM5 ROM, that's all. I found ART_HTCESN_1.14.412.1_026790_ESN_Ship.exe but it is Spanish, so probably it doesn't interest you.
Downgrade procedure was exactly the same as upgrade.
Would you be so kind to test some WM 6.1 releases with the car's bluetooth before downgrading to WM5?. It could work and I assume that in any case you are going to reinstall everything, so a kick install should be not much of a problem.

Nice!
But I find a problem, isn't your O2-XDA also known as Wallaby? I mean, if I'm right you are posting in the wrong forum or at least you should be advised not to install another PDA ROM on yours becouse you risk to brick it. We are posting at Artemis forum. Of course, Bluetooth problem seems not related to PDAs but WM6
On this forum there is info about how to unlock your PDA. Unfortunately I dont find any ROM for your device.

Same Problem
hi all,
207 FACTORY KIT / M650
I have the same problem, only the original ROM under WM5 work properly...
I Tried many bluetooth soft on several tips and WM6 release...
AJE , 1.5 / 6 /8 / 9 / 2.0 beta........
Now i am under B&B 5 (WM6.1) and the problem persist
I note that if i desactivate bluetooth stereo and fix sample rate to 44Khz, it looks to work a little better than before.
If i wait between 2 phone call (out), it works much.
If i answer to a phone call with the remote control it never works.
If i answer with green touch on the phone it work ALL the time.
Are we condamned to stay under WM5 !??
WM5 -> bluetooth but no CRM (does'n't want to work)
WM6 -> No bluetooth but CRM...
I choose to work on this but any result, since more than eight month...
HEEEEEEEEEEELLLP US AND SHAME ON PA**OT
PS: HTC and parrot pass a deal to increase compatibility of their product...
Since this time does anybody tel to parrot on this problem ?
Does newer HTC product originaly under WM6 work fine one factory kit (peugeot/citröen 207/C3...) because if no, i think parrot sucks ! they update firmware on all their product, but for product sells to peugeot or citroen -> NOTHING
Thx for the info. It's a pity that the problem persist on WM6.1
We are hooked to WM5 and to my eyes, the Artemis and PocketPCs look older than ever.
At the end, I think it is a Microsoft problem. PSA Bluetooth CarKit works flawlessly with WM5 so Microsoft changed something to the Bluetooth stack on WM6. Shame on them.
I'll wait to WM7, but I don't have too much expectations.
Regards
