sync WM6 with VISTA

I very much appreciate all of the expertise here on this site and am hoping that somebody can give me some help on this. I just refreshed my computer from XP SP2 to VISTA and am not sure how to sync anymore. I know that there is a built-in Windows Mobile Device Center, but when I connect my HTC Hermes to my PC, it appears to want to sync only music and video files. I have been unable to figure out a way to sync OUTLOOK 2007 mail/calendar/contact items. If any of you can point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful!

When I upgraded to Vista a few weeks ago, I had to download an update for WMDC. You might want to check here, or plug your device in and visit Windows Update.

Update for WMDC
You need to download the new synch SW from MS. Read...e.g. upgrade guides

syncronizing trinity not working

i have vista at home and at work. any version of wm6 i've tried with my device couldn't sync with my computers. it connects, it asks me wat to sync but than nothing.
is this a vista problem or wm6?

be sure you have activesync 4.5 with wm6
wm6 don't work with activsync 4.2

for vista you should download the newest windows mobile device center..

i have the latest windows mobile device center. Is there a vista user that cand sync with wm6?

Help with Windows Live for WM5

Hi all,
I have a motoQ w/ WM5 and I use hotmail. Pocket msn really sucks.
I installed windows live through an .exe file and it worked perfect for one week.
Suddently, the program started to fail to syncronize with my hotmail account.
I decided to do a master reset in my phone and install the program again to try to solve the problem.
The problem is that now, when I try to install the Windows Live, I get a message that the installation of the *.cab was unsuccesful.
Can anyone help me?

wm6.1 and vista sync

i have tryed 2 roms now with vista and i can't sync and see device
is there a 6.1 rom the works with vista?
help please as i have to flash my roms at work on xp now
as i only have vista x64 at home

i have vista x64 and i flash my roms fine ...

I've just upgrade my vario II to wm 6.5 and there is no synch between pda and pc. I've got installed active sync4.5 on pc. Has any got the same problem?

Not sure about wm6.5...but I had a similar problem in wm 6.1( in my xda stealth) solved by unchecking usb to pc in connections settings....hope that works ....otherwise try to reinstall activesynch or soft reset....
