Hi everybody,
I´m planning to buy a bluetooh stereo headphones for listening music and hands free calling.
I´d like to have:
- Controls for controlling mp3 playing, volume and phone functions (hang, interchange calls....).
- Screen for seeing mp3 tags and caller id.
- High battery life.
- Voice calling.
Any idea on what to get.
I have a qtek s200 (g4 prophet) rom: 2.20 spanish.
Thanks in advance.
I have been usin` Plantronics Pulsar P590. No problems so far. Qulity is very good, all necessary controls for controlling mp3 playing.
Thanks very much for the advice, but it doesn´t have screen.
Best.
Read http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=296770
After reading your great post and some links you have on it, i realized that it seems that i´m looking for something that doesn´t exist.
The only options i have considered after reading, are sony HBH-DS970 and nokia HS-12W and no one can manage mp3 tags on screen and the battery life is not so good.
Maybe is time to wait to someone comes whith what i want.
Thanks a lot.
I'm intrested in where you think the screen should be on "headphones" in order for you to see them? I think a far better idea would be to have an extra button to press that gives you a voice prompt/annoucement that reads the track title to you. I've seen some half-baked attemps of this on the PC.
Thinking about it, can't MS Voice Commander do this if you speak to it?
Like this will be ok for you to see it when you want without taking out your phone.

I prefer this than the phone telling you each song title.
I like this headphones. The problem is that it doesn´t show, i don´t know why mp3 tags and the battery life is not so long.
Will see if someone come with something good enought.
Best.

I tried to set up a set of BT Stereo Headphones in a shop the other day to test them. We couldn't get them to go so we could listen to mp3s. I use GSPlayer.
Has anybody done this successfully? How do you tell the Magician (WM5) to output the sounds to the bluetooth headset and not to the normal headphones audio output socket?
many thanks,
Zaine.
Cant remeber where i got and who to give props too. but here it is
just run the output all audio to bluetooth and the run the other to turn off
and the auto mode which i havent tested out yet
Bewdiful.
Bewdy mate.
Thanks very much, that seems to do the trick. It works with my normal headset now. I'll go back to the shop now and test those other headphones.
The auto toggle seems to work OK as well, btw.
Once again, thanks a million.
Good deal. I gotta try this out. Will this work w/ the Wizard?
It doesn't work with my Magician + BHCS BT Patch...
I've read plenty of threads about this. For Magician, A2DP is WMP only. Doesn't work with anything else.
Mind you, this is what everyone else has said. I have not tested this myself.
I can confirm that, in my experience.
Also: WMP is pretty rubbish about its A2DP support. For some reason it'll only stream mp3s within a certain bitrate, too low and it uses the device's speaker.
It won't do non-stnadard sample-rates either, and on most setups it seems to "burp" every few seconds.
Ik am succesfull with the standard WMP though. It plays all bitrates, and only rarely stutters... So when I use WMP, I am satisfied!
Works fine, just bad quality sound with Bluetooth.
Well, I tried again in the shop and everything worked fine on my Magician (a T Mobile MDA compact with WM5). However, the sound quality was pretty rubbish. The sales guy reckoned that was a function of Bluetooth.
So, not a winner there. But, I can now listen to my voice recordings and podcasts via my normal BT Headset, which is really handy.
Thanks again to the Frioman - a really useful couple of apps. The toggle is on my Today page now!

Yeah, I got this all the time, espically if I fast forwarded and rewound. And I was re-encoding mp3s to different bitrates, constant and variable without much success.
"Damn WMP and it's lack of features! The stupid thing can only play MP3s... and... WMA..."
I did a few test re-encodes to WMA 9 (not 9.1) @ 192 and now I get those burps and crackles every ... ten minutes? Half an hour? Definitly not every... what, twenty seconds to a minute.
If this is a problem for you, try re-encoding to WMA 9 @ 192. I use dbPowerAmp http://www.dbpoweramp.com/
ooff! took me about 2 and 1/2 days to re-find this thread again!! can we get a sticky on this????
used this on my Wizard (aka mda) and my Moto H3 and now can listen to my tv shows on the train w/my bt headset!
thanks!!!
I got a Unable to Open bluetooth audio gateway or something, though my headset is connected...strange.

There is three icons one for audio off and one for audio on and one for toggle.
I ran one at a time but after 15 or 20 minutes I loose blue tooth connections and the communications manager freezes and when I click on the blue tooth Icon in settings it does nothing, I have to turn the mda off and then I can listen over the blue tooth again, but after 1or 20 minutes it does it again.
can you help?
help
is there any one out there
BT Audio User Problem
I downloaded BT Audio and installed the three .exe files on my 8525. Soft reset the device and then toggled the audio on.exe. Sound still coming out of the speaker and not the BT headset.
I do have the BT-620's and they work fine (even before the BT Audio install). I am trying to accomplish being able to listen to WM without having to lug the BT-620's around all the time.
I am wondering if having the 620's software is conflicting with BT Audio?
Also, I think to get the audio stream to play to the headset, one has to activate the voice dialing feature from the headset? I can get the sound to play only for a few seconds when I do this. Do I need to de-activate voice dialing? If so, how?
Thanks and Happy Holidays
Wokring great with Plantranics voyer 510
Thanks for such nice software....it is working great in my mda and voyer 510 bluetooh head set.

Thank you so much, toggle works well, switches to calls and back
very cool.
Well, being that this is my first post, I would first like to say that this site and forums are top notch, I have had my 8525 for about a month now and have learned an immense amount of knowledge in a short amount of time thanks to you guys. Now for my problem...
I have my 8525 running Black Magik, radio 1.43.00 and have recently purchased a pair of Sony DR-BT21G A2DP stereo headphones. Now I was a bit weary about buying these since I have seen no mention of them on these forums... buy anyways. When I first paired the devices together I was able to listen to music without problem, though sound needed to be tweaked. After trolling for quite some time through the forums (yes, the search feature works great) I found what appeared to be the best A2DP setting for audio quality, and now after playing with every possibility cannot get music routed to the headset, phone calls work without a hitch. I have downloaded BTAudio to route all system sounds to the headset but It doesn't seem to work. I toggle BTAudio on and I can hear slight static through the phones but the audio still comes out through the system speaker. I have played with A2DP settings in both pimp my black and HTweakC but have not had any success. I am planning on reflashing Majik tonight to attempt to set it up from scratch, but I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light on this issue? Thanks in advance.

Delete the pairing. SR. Re-pair. Should do hte trick. Better yet - for the most stable ROM and A2DP tweaked for the best sound "out of the box" - reflash with Sleuth255 variant of LVSW ROM.
How exactly can I delete the pair? I can repair the device but have not seen an option to remove it?
To toggle Audio to A2DP you might want to see:

There's a description and a link to download the CAB for A2DPToggle plugin too.
Let me know how it works on your hardware.
OK
Just got them today from eBay.
I paired it with my Touch HD and of course I wanted to try how the music works. And.... I AM SO DISSAPOINTED! Maybe I do something wrong or I need to configure my Touch HD somehow but the music quality is totally crappy! It sounds like music through standard mono Bluetooth headset instead stereo stream music...
Please help me because I am out of ideas and if THIS is great sound quality then I don't know what people have compared it to....
The sound is with typical glitches in the back, unclear with buzz, like with Bluetooth phone conversation. I was expecting clean stereo sound (at least I thought that hat's what A2DP stands for).
Stereo is barely recognizable - it is more like double mono;(
I love sound on my Creative EP630 - it is crystal clear - just brilliant sound quality. I even read one review when someone claimed to be as good as with EP 630. NOT in my case;(
With S9HD it is just pain for my ears!;(
And I can't even use AudioBooster with this???
No I just can't believe that I have configured it well.
Please someone help me what I am doing wrong....
ROM : Dutty HD 2.3 Extreme
Radio:1.09.25.14
Use A2DP bluetooth profile to connect, instead of plain handsfree.

could you explain in like step-by-step how to do it? ? because i don't know how to connect through a2dp profile in touch hd...
thanks
Might also be worth changing bluetooth settings via Advanced Configuration;
make sure Bitpool is set to very high. I've been using my Blueant X5 headphones for years and was disappointed when I first paired it with my Diamond, but found the sound greatly improved with a little tweaking around.
Hi!
I'd like some help in the search for a new MP3 player.
I had a iRiver with just 1Gb wich I loved, but I lost it. With only one AA battery I had music for more than 30 hours.
I need it basically for running and other exercises. I tried use a stereo bluetooth headset with my HTC Diamond but I really didn't like it. The controls are not so good, don't have a screen to watch the songlists and choose, can't REW or FF, consumes a lot of battery from the phone and the headset etc, etc, but, I like the fact that I can answer the calls.
So, I'd like your help to see if there's a good option to me.
I'd like a MP3 player, with all the musics in it's flash memory and with FM radio. Plus, a model with bluettoth, so I could pair it with my phone and answer my calls. I could be, for example, riding my bike, listening music from the player (and not from the phone via bluetooth) and if the phone rings, my MP3 player is paired with it so I can answer it.
So, do I have options like that?
Thank you guys!

wtf? is this Your answer? sometimes it's better not to say anything, than say something like this...
I'm using my i780 as my mp3 player with motorola s9 stereo bluetooth headset and this is awesome. Especially combined with sportypal (gps app to track my trainings and stuff) [ www.sportypal.com ] . I'm runnig and cycling (about 50 km/day) with this and, like said before - awesome combination. And ability to answer calls is ... well..it has no match! hope it helps!

hey, well actually I always think it is the best option to buy an Apple iPod. I swear to iPods they are definitely the best you can buy
I never had the slightest problem with iPods, because they are kind of undestroyable and really good. I tried several MP3-Players including my cellphones and I was always kind of disappointed so the best choice is definitely and iPod.
iPod+FM receiver+bluetooth sharing via 3.5mm output+A2DP bt headset
i would say iPod + accessories!
Hi all,
I come from the TP2 and used my jabra JX10 9old, 1st version) on it.
The system sounds were forwarded to the headset without problem. I heard the noticiation, alarm or ringtone as if it was coming from the internal speaker.
Connecting the same headset to the DHD now, I hear only a 'signal' informing that I have an incoming call.
Deciding that I need a newer headset to go with the new phone I tried a few headsets but get the impression that it is not possible to hear system sounds. Can somebody please confirm this possibility with any of the BT headsets around.
If I put an 'oldphone' as a ringtone, I want to hear that 'oldphone' when I get a call. Same more incoming emails, sms etc. Please advise which headset is capable of doing so.
I just tried the Jabra extreme. Music is being forwarded if I play it, but the system sounds are not coming through, this although the BT settings show that phone and media sounds are forwarded to the headeset.
with many thanks for a good advise,
Ruud
this is a tricky one... have you installed any custom roms etc?

Hi fkofilee,
no, I am still on stock-rom, purchased in Russia from one of the official dealers proposed on HTC's website. I am quite sure that I am fully original.
For the moment I am not into flashing another ROM. I came to the HDH with the main hope that this continously flashing would stop. It just takes too much time and it never was perfect anyway.
About the topic at hand :
I now have tried Jabra JX10 series 2, Jabra extreme and Jabra Stone on my DHD. All of which show that they forward phone and media, but none of them is giving me ringtones, notifications & alarm at the moment they sound at the phone.
If this is standard Android, next question would be if somebody has an additional software which is able to arrange this, I would be happy to try.
regards,
Ruud
Still hoping
Hi all,
added the Plantronic Voyager Pro to the mix, same result. Not even showing phone audio and media, but only phone audio. Though it was certainly a better fit for my ears, the fact that one more is lacking the result I am seeking was not convincing enough to purchase it.
Anyone please, who is able to get system sounds through Bluetooth. I really liked it with my TP2, to be "in meetings" not disturbing anyone, but being informed about all that my phone usually barks at me.
Regards,
Ruud
