I have my trinity briked and want to bring it to service centre. But ROM version I tried to flash before briking was in different region which may breach the warranty.
Now it boots and stops with a start up logo in different language. I am worried that service centre may refuse my repair request. Can I erase the image file from ROM? or any suggestion to avoid showing this screen? It is possible to use mtty and erase the image file? where is the image files' address? or how to erase the main ROM so that it will not show the image?
I tried most of the recovery method from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=286755 but still failed. My case is "Hybrid Bricks: combinations of both type 1 and type 2 bricks"

Hi all,
Here's the situation;
Tried to update to the latest official rom after buying a HTC Desire from a friend. When upgrading this error appeared: ERROR [110]
After this, the phone rebooted and is stuck on the HTC logo with 4 exclamation marks in each corner.
I can't boot into recovery, nor hboot, only fastboot seems to work. Below you can find the fastboot output.

Tried making a goldcard with another phone, and reflash, but the same error appears with the same result.
There is not that much info about this problem, already tried everything i've found...
Hi did you flash aplharev downgrade hboot? as you saying fastboot working try to flash it and run ruu again. Is 'fastboot oem boot' working?
already downgraded hboot
and 'fastboot oem boot' returns 'FAILED (status read failed (Too many links))'
just find out it fails on flashing the radio.
Maybe he blocks on trying to downgrade the radio? I'm not able to downgrade radio true fastboot commander neither.
Hi try to flash alpharev stock and do it again... it has bigger cache partition... see :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1171494
ps did you restart phone after flashing downgrade?
I just did following steps:
1. flashed 'bravo_alphaspl.img' as Hboot/SPL
2. rebooted
3. trying to downgrade radio again, same sh*t, tried the RUU installer again, also same sh*t
just did some searches... you can try it but no sure, as you are able to flash radio any time unless any other problem
flash downgrade
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem rebootRUU
run ruu
i'm NOT able to downgrade the radio version...
guess this is the cause of all my problems...
any other suggestions?
RUU flashes the radio also, no need to change radio
Where did you get that update from?
it's isn't the upgrade that failed it was the Hboot image, i had the same error trying RUU the phone with cm2r2 image on hboot, when changed to stock hboot it stoped giving error 110, i had the same screen with exclamation marks, i've managed to get RUU flashed on the phone, i dont remember exact the procedure but fastboot commands worked and i was able to flash the phone with RUU, i used many RUU's until find one that worked with my phone
Did you try htcdev download? that should work
If you were actually paying attention to what are others telling you, you would have your Desire fixed long time ago.
I solved the same problem by doing a backup of a good desire and then flashed via fastboot the boot.img, cache.img, recovery.img and system.img.
I did all of this after I had rolled back the hboot from the Alpherev CM7 version to the stock alpharev hboot so same as on the other phone (this can be done via fastboot of reflashing program.
I then typed 'fastboot boot OEM' in fastboot and hey presto booted up into gingervillan.
Oh and used a gold card when doing it.

I think I tried like 12-13 RUU updates, finally founded the one I needed!
-RUU_HTC+Desire+Android+2.3+Upgrade+(Gingerbread)-3.14.405.1-
Thanks for all the reply's, none of the solutions above worked for me, except flashing the one and only (latest) RUU for my phone.
I'm going to keep my phone with original rom now, unrooted, because it seems that rooting is impossible with current ROM...
Hi guys
I got the Asian pacific version of the Htc one x and I unlocked its bootloader, rooted and flashed clockwork mod recovery. I copied the Miui rom to the root of the device but I unblugged the cable while it was copying and I didn't notice that. so I went to mount settings formated the system without backing the system up and when I tried to install miui off course it says installation aborted. anywho I tried to download RUU for the Asian version and when I install it after 6% it gives me this error:
[155] unkown error
soo I decided to lock it again and to restore it's recovery, I found a guy from Meddile east posting a recovery so I took it and flash it (I don't know wheither it's recovery for ME devcices, Asian or both).
any who after 6% I get a new error
which is this one:
[131] customer ID error.
I thought the problem because I chosed the rong RUU so I tried to get the cid by typing
fastboot getvar cid
and it says: CID: NONE
tried to type :
adb shell getprop ro.cid
it says device wasn't found
please help me , I've been trying to solve this problem for three days now.
sorry for my bad english
thanks
There are two ways here:
1) do you still want to flash a MIUI ROM ?
You need to re-unlock the bootloader and flash this recovery http://xda.richardtrip.org/HTC/reco...kwork-touch-5.8.3.1-endeavoru_fixedadbusb.img
It will mount your sdcard once you are in recovery, so you can put your MIUI ROM in it and flash the ROM.
2) do you want to flash back to stock ?
Check your software version, in fastboot mode : fastboot getvar version-main
then only can confirm the right RUU for you

Hello
I'm having the same problem, can't fin the right RUU to get back to stock rom. I did the command " fastboot getvar version-main", and i get this info:
version-main: 2.17.65.2
But google does'nt seem to find a RUU with this number.
What RUU should i search for? I tried so many version, but none is right I'm so tired of trying, please help!
anyone? :crying:
Hello,
I have a problem with my HTC One X and I am looking for a week now to an answer and still didn't get it, so that is why I am asking you guys here.
I tried to install cyanogenmod but I forgot to root it first, so then began my problems. The phone is stuck now in the shiny boot and I cannot start it. What I did so far :
1. I unlocked the bootloader and flashed several boot.img I found over the internet. Also I flashed several recoverys as neither was working (the screen is allways black in recovery).
2. I relocked the bootloader and tried to use a RUU, but it seems the highest ver I found is 3.14 and I have 3.20 so do not work.
CID : HTC_032
HBOOT - 1.39.0000
CPLD - none
MICROP - none
RADIO - 5.1204.162A.29
eMMC-bootmode : disabled
CPU-bootmode : disabled
HW Secure boot : enabled
MODEM PATH : OFF
My question are :
1. Can I find a RUU ENDEAVORU EU for my phone ? Where ?
2. How I can restore my phone without RUU (if there is none) ?
3. In the end I want to put cyanogenmod on it. Can I do it now without restoring to original ?
Thank you
First you need to flash a fully working recovery
http://db.tt/oGDkMlwc
Rename this one to recovery.img and flash it
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Fastboot erase cache
Then unhook the usb cable and try to enter it
Hi, I'm trying to install cm10.1-RC5 from Arch Linux. I've wiped and factory reset and flashed the boot.img. I don't have s-off.
When I try to install the .zip in ClockworkMod 5.8.4.0 I get errors indicating that my bootloader isn't a compatible version. For example:
assert failed: getprop("ro.bootloader") == "1.31.0000"
E:Error in /sdcard/cm-10.1.0-RC5-endeavoru.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
I gather that this means my hboot or firmware needs an update. I've found this thread which seems relevant:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2241419
I ran "fastboot oem readcid" and got this:
...
(bootloader) DEBUG: cid: VODAP021
OKAY [ 4.075s]
finished. total time: 4.075s
So I guess this means I need Vodaphone specific firmware? Where can I access this?
Or am I on the wrong track?
Post the result of fastboot getvar version-main..
This is a cmd fastboot command (windows)... No idea what's the command for Linux.. Might be something similar..
This way we can make sure which firmware you have...

Thanks for the quick reply, here's the output:

I've located this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376&highlight=upgrade+firmware+linux
This pointed me to .zip containing hboot 1.36.
I tried following these instructions:
http://sadevil.org/blog/2012/12/23/manually-flashing-an-ota-update/
Unfortunately the directories the tutorial references are different to the one in my .zip.
Now there are 2 ways you can upgrade your device's hboot
1: Returning to stock with a ruu and then updating to jellybean hboot with ota update.
2. Flashing the firmware zip and then installing a custom rom.
For running a ruu you will need access to a windows pc since it's an exe file : http://bugsylawson.com/files/file/1...11-radio-1120410514-release-260561-signedexe/
If you want to upgrade your firmware by flashing... Here's the firmware upgrade for your cid : http://goo.gl/yAa0G
Download the firmware and rename it to firmware.zip and then put it in the fastboot folder..
Steps:
1. Relock bootloader : fastboot oem lock
2. Reboot to ruu : fastboot oem rebootRUU
It will take you to a black htc screen... Wait for a few seconds for the screen to settle down and then flash the firmware :
Fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
You might need to flash the firmware twice if you get an error the first time! Its quite normal! After successfully flashing the firmware, you need to unlock the Bootloader, flash a custom recovery and then flash the custom rom!
PS: Again, the commands are for fastboot cmd (windows).. Linux might be a little different..

You are with the latest firmware!!!!
Locked bootloader

I can only enter bootloader mode or download mode
Cannot enter OS
Cannot enter recovery
cannot enter fastboot oem rebootRUU = bootloops
Cannot obtain fastboot oem get_identifier_token due to not able to access OS to turn appropriate setting on
As i understand the only way to recover is
1)with RUU matching 0PJA10000/ORANG001 [/B] EE/ORANGE 3.35.61.14 or above RUU file as I could then fastboot flash zip RUU.zip
PROBLEM: Cannot find 0PJAIMG_HIMA_UHL_M60_SENSE70_MR_Orange_UK_3.35.61.14_Radio_01.01_U11440792_95.00.51130G_F_release.zip
found on something called gem-firmware but no idea about this site safety
2)S-OFF / unlock bootloader (at local phone shop)
PROBLEM is this even possible with phone state by local phone shops (xtc2clip etc) as I am pretty sure I cannot do it from PC in current phone state
3)Moan to EE/ORANGE UK to say sort this out after all it was caused by an EE upgrade to 6.0.1
Can any one please help me with 1) or 2)
1. Check HTC RUU Flashing Service. They might have the proper RUU.
2. xtc2clip s-offed and BL unlock device in download mode so it's possible.
If you can boot into download mode, I'm sure that you can still unlock the bootloader with the proper key/unlock_code.bin, and then see if you can flash TWRP. Then restore a stock backup which you'll find in Flippy's ReadMe thread.
Thank you for your responses.
I can enter download mode but it's weird, sometimes I have to reboot bootloader then I can enter download mode otherwise I can't.
I do not have the unlock.bin
And I can not get token due to OS setting of unlocking bootloader not allowing.
This leads me to believe that unfortunately I can not solve it alone though i want to try getting
0pjaimg_hima_uhl_m60_sense70_mr_orange_uk_3.35.61.14_radio_01.01_u11440792_95.00.51130g_f_release_470526_signed_hboot.zip

2329.8MB
or find 4.19.61.1 hboot as i have RUU but need hboot for it.... 0PJAIMG_HIMA_UHL_N70_SENSE80_MR_Orange_UK_4.19.61.1_Radio_01.01_U114401031_122.01.61213G_F_release_492070_signed_Hboot_2_4.zip
I have
0PJAIMG_HIMA_UHL_N70_SENSE80_MR_Orange_UK_4.19.61.1_Radio_01.01_U114401031_122.01.61213G_F_release_492070_signed_2_4
obviously if i can do it my self i will try...but it looks like I may need to xtc2clip at local phoneshop as my only option IF they can s-off in my curent state
Thank you all again, it is so much appreciated

I've never unlocked bootloader on this phone
It happened after upgrading phone I tried to wipe phone to default setting..to be honest all probably my fault..I'm not denying.
It just never boots system, and boots to bootloader instead and can get into download fastboot..I guess
It's some incomplete upgrade that means mismatch so can't even use ruu.. fastboot oem rebootRUU
Just loops then back to bootloader
all guess I know
