Hands Free in Auto with Built in BlueTooth?

Has anyone been sucessfull in using a Hands Free System in any Automobile with the PDA2K? If so what is your Bluetooth Stack & is it modified? Is there a Modified Bluetooth Stack out there able to work in a Hands Free System? There must be someone out there who can make the Right Bluetooth Stack for the PDA2K!!!!
I use a parrot CK3000 in my car (I used it with my nokia 6310i before)
It does what it has to do , except for the audio volume setting (I talked to parrot and this will be solved in the next carkit firmware)
I used my 6310i to set the initial volume
Hi,
I have Sonyericssons Bluetooth handsfree HCB-30. It work like a dream. Connects perfect every time. I don't even think about if it have connect to the hands free or not. Work even better with my Qtek 9090 then with my P910.
I have the XDA2s working with the SE HCB-30 in my Audi with absolutely no problems so far. BT stack is 3500.

I use my MDA III with the build in Audi BT handsfree (Cullmann third generation).
I do have problems with the volume control (always jumps back to min) and even worse the connection is lost when I get an incoming call. The ring sound is still coming via the handsfree-speakers, but as soon as I pick up (doesn't matter if via green hardware-button or touchscreen) the MDA III shows the handsfree-symbol on top with a "?" in it and I have to use the MDA III to speak/hear. After I hung up the connection is established again almost immediately (you hear a "pling" sound).
When I make a phone call connection stays up, I can use the handsfree system...
Anyone an idea? What does that question-mark symbol mean?
PEACE AND B WILD!
OK - let me get this straight. This is to those of you who are using a bluetooth headset in your vehicles.
Are you saying that without touching your PDA you are able to press a button on your headset, speak the name of a contact and get connected?
I have been able to do this on every bluetooth phone I have owned, but with my XDA I have to press a button to bring up the voice dial app which then proceeds to try and call a random person in my contacts list.
hfp
I asked ONLY FOR HANDS FREE PROFILE, NOT HEADSET PROFILE. With the latest rom upgrade the HFP does not work. Imate PDA2K supports both the Hfp & the Headset Profile.

Jasjar- BT Jabra 500 sound Problem

I cant hear any of my incoming/outgoing calls nor can I hear a ringing in BT.
Jasjar discover BT and pairing is OK ( just in case I did couple times -no luck)
when I use answer/end button on BT is dialing out but no sound on BT
on other side that I call they can hear my voice but I can't hear anything
Do I need any software to instal in jasjar ???
ROM version 1.13.53 WWE
ROM date 09\23\05
Radio version 1.03.01
Protocol version 42.36.P8
ExRom version 1.13.137 WWE
Please help me out
Thanx
I have BT 500 and have no problems, it sounds like the headset has a problem not the phone.
Also have my own and a client's Jabra 500 working successfully with o2 Xda Execs.
Stupid question I know, but you have tried increasing the volume on the headset buttons?
I did try everything , volume etc , contact jabra and try there sugestion
such as :
could be a pairing issue, or a bad speaker on the BT500. Please try a reset and re-pair of the phone and headset first:
Turn the headset off.
Plug the headset charging cord into a wall outlet.
Connect the headset to the charging cord for 5 seconds.
Disconnect the headset.
Remove the headset from the phone Bluetooth menu.
Turn the phone off.
Remove the battery (and sim card, if removable), and hold out for 5 seconds.
Re-install the battery (and sim card, if applicable) and turn the phone on, but do not touch any settings.
Turn the headset on.
Put the headset into pairing mode by pressing and holding the pairing button until you see a steady blue light. Release the button.
Perform the pairing procedure for the phone.
SIMPLY IS NOT WORKING
try with friend V3 razor and same thing
I also have the BT 500 + jasjar
It just works better than the BT 250 which was my past one.
To be honest, what I have on my jasjar is the new O2 rom upgrade (and that should not do any difference) I think there is something wrong with your jasjar
Maybe you will be forced to try the bad solution HARDREST try the headset with other phones before doing that
i beleive it's the headset that has the problem, since you tried it with another phone.
i have the bt500 with the imate jasjar and also the kjam and it's more than perfect for me, the sound is cristal clear on all the phones i tried on.
maybe you should replace it with a new one.
What I mean is not a factory mistake in the headset
I think the phoen is getting complex and some data have been lost (possible)
By the way, I haven't installed the BT headset fix, yet it works fine.

Problems pairing with GPS

Hi,
I had an old ROM release on my Qtek 9090 and with it my GPS Bluetooth device worked fine.
Yesterday I got myself a Parrot EasyDrive and it would not connect to my Qtek 9090. It would however work fine with my 2 Nokias.
So I decided to finally (after one year) upgrade my Qtek and I used the 1.42 ROM from this site.
No the Parrot EasyDrive works fine, but my GPS receiver has this annoying problem: whenever I want to use the GPS receiver, the pairing window opens up, asking for the passkey (1234). The problem is, that it won't keep it, no matter what I do.
I tried to remove the GPS-Device in the Bluetooth manager and I deleted the pairing partnership. Then I made a new connection with pairing, etc.
After turning Bluetooth off, the pairing information is lost.
Meanwhile, the Parrot Easy Drive carkit works fine.
Any suggestions?
Cheers,
vma
Well, I ended up solving the problem myself...
While messing with the registry to remove the operator branded dialpad of the new ROM I installed, I managed to mess up my Qtek 9090 and lost the screen alignment. Because of that, I could not access the lower part of the screen anymore, thus it became impossible to realign the screen.
As stupid as it might seem, I had to do a hardreset at end, otherwise the device was useless (Side-question: is there any shortcut to get the screen alignment for the Blue Angel?).
After doing the hardreset and after re-installing all applications again, I paired both the carkit and the GPS receiver without problems.
It seems that if the pairing goes wrong the first time, one has problems afterwards. Would be nice to know how to really reset all connections without having to do a hardreset.
For all of you that went through the pain of reading my two posts:
I purchased an Parrot EasyDrive carkit, which was on sale for 35 Euro. It is a device that plugs into the carlighter and that has voice recognition.
I then passed new cables for Ground and 12V from the lighter to under the steering wheel and attached them to the speaker part of the carkit.
The result is a proper Bluetooth carkit with voice recognition (you say "telephone" and then the name and the carkit dials the number on the phone - all contacts have to be send one by one from the phone's contact list through Bluetooth and then you train the name twice - memory holds 200 contacts), where you just see the little knob with the two buttons - for just 35 Euro!
I say, that's an excellent deal!
Cheers,

exec doesnt work with motorola bluetooth handsfree

hi.
i just bought a motorola bluetooth handsfree for my car HB830. i paired it to my exec and it started working. now the problem is that sometimes the pairing fails and the phone doesnt transfer the call to the handsfree i.e the call remains in the phone. when this happens the exec shows that bluetooth is turned off which i switch back on but the problem comes back after the next call. i.e the phone doesnt seem to be able to transfer the call to the handsfree.i have upgrade my ROM to Rom:1.30.107 WWE
Radio: 1.09.00
Ext ROM: 1.30.162 WWE
is this a problem with the new radio ? should i downgrade to the older radio? if yes then which one and how do i? please help me guys.. thanx
My Uni does the same with my parrot CK3100 car kit...
Its a major pain in the ass....
Seems to work fine with my Jabra JX10 tho..
Same problem here with a medion bluetooth car radio.
Most of the times my universal thinks it's paired (icon in the calling screen), but when making or receiving a call it disappears.
After a succesfull bluetooth call, it isn't posible anymore to call handsfree.
Bluetooth also regulary turns itself off. Tricks found in another topic are not the solution for me
if you enable the device lock start\settings\personal\lock
Prompt if device is unused for 16.7 hours
set simple pin
the phone and the parrot device keep there pairing with no problem at all i have been testing it for the last 48 hours
if you disable the above it loses the paring straght the way.
strange is they anyone else who can try this
Thanks
Paul
bluetooth headest problem
hi.
1st thing how do u set it for 16.7 hrs.... it just gives me options of rounded off hours.
i tried setting it for 12 hrs.. it works better but still a problem
Maybe this is a clue:
I use the newest Qtek German Rom, which is from April or May. This should be same version like WWE version.
Since I upgraded to this Rom, all my problems with Bluetooth disappeared. It works fine with my Logitech mobile pro 2 headset. I assume, the problems are only because of the rom.
try upgrading and see, how it works.

Problem: Nokia HDW-3 BT-headset - HTC PC3300

Hello,
I'm using the HTC P3300 PDA and I would like to use it with my older Nokia HDW-3 bluetooth headset. Pairing is succesfull and I can use the headset without a problem. But when I don't use the phone/headset for (example) 30 minutes and I would like to call someone, the P3300 displays a headset symbol, but I can't hear anything through the HDW-3. Turning off the headset and turning it on again will fix the problem...only for a short time. It looks like both devices can connect and work correctly, but after a standby time it doens't work anymore without a headset reset.
Does some recognize this problem? When pairing both, only the "handsfree" profile is available. (No headset profile?). The HDW-3 has always worked perfectly with my Nokia 6600 till last week (before upgrading to the HTC P3300). So I don't think it is defect. The P3300 works great with my Parrot 3100LCD bluetooth carkit, so it is unlikely that bluetooth on the P3300 isn't working correctly. What to do?
Thanks in advance for any reply.
Regards,
Roger
