How to Flash your Device using bootloader and SD-Card....
Download XDATools
Extract them at any place and run osimagetool
Select your Rom Image from the Source drop down menu.
Select your SD card (disk drive) from Destination the drop down menu.
Select Copy to start writing process and the tool should start writing to the card.
When XDATools has finished writing the image (no Infomessage) put the SD-card into your device
If there comes a message to format the SD-card select No
Hold the power button and soft reset. You'll be taken to the below screen:
SD DOWNLOAD
Card Type:

Press action to Download
Or
Press REC to Exit
Press action to download and it will start the download/restore from the SD card.
Follow the on screen instructions once its "Completed" which will consist of a " Hard Reset"

Checksum Error WinCE Upgrade

Magellan roadmate 2200T
In Boot Loader - Win CE Upgrade - Wince by SD
I get checksum error
I have tried several cards, a 32MB card, formatted to FAT, with the files winceimg.bin and winceimg.cks, the checksum is found with Winhex compute hash - 32bit CRC, winceimg is from Magellan2200T_or_Crossover_2_14 update, I have tried other bins, also get checksum error, or if passes checksum I get invalid image message
I have also tried doing by USB with dnw.exe with secbulk driver, pc recongnizes GPS and get USB status, but file would not transfer.
I have another unit I can copy from but grabit and other like tools do not seem to copy the whole image.
Trying to boot off SD Card I get open file failed! Put image file into SD! What files do you need to do boot off SD bin upgrade?
I have sucessfully did uboot update from SD using uboot.bin from Magellan2200T_or_Crossover_2_14 update. It changed the whole way the bootloader menu works. I have a 2200T with rest button, not switch. Before uboot update you use reset to navigate menu, after this update I have to use the hold button. To turn the unit on power button does not work, have to press hold button and power button.

Flashing to wrong ROM

I'm seeing some very strange behaviour with my Diamond when I flash from the Internal Storage. It worked fine for quite a few flashes, but I tried to flash yesterday and despite copying the Diamimg.nbh file to the internal storage, reflashing went back to the ROM that was previously installed not the new one!
I can reflash from my PC successfully, but trying to do it from the internal storage doesn't work.
Has anyone had this problem before? Is there a fix?
Never had a problem flashing from Internal Method.
Are u sure u followed all the steps including a hard reset right the installation?
Internal Method Steps:
1. open from your PC the rar or zip archive and extract only the BIG .nbh file
2. rename as DIAMIMG.NBH
3. copy the renamed file into the root dir of your "Storage Card" or "Internal Storage" (the one of 4Gb... NOT to the internal phone memory!)
4. reset your device and within 3 seconds push together the Vol_Down + Back button (the one on the right above the hangup button) and keep pressed until the boot loader appears (the one with the color stripes)
5. soon as you see the bootloader stop to press those poor buttons
6. a very simple gray menu will appear asking you what to do, simple press the power button to perform the ROM/Radio upgrade
7. while the upgrade runs be patient and don't press again the power button, reset the device or play with it until it finishes, when finished a message "UPDATE SUCCESS" will appear, now you can safely reset your device
8. who prefer can perform a hard reset after the fresh cook (soon after reset simply press Vol_Down + Circle button, then when you see another simple gray menu choose Vol_Up to confirm format), even if this has no-sense because internal memory is pre-formatted during flash, but... there is always a but... for some unknown "scientific" reason sometimes an hard-reset can save time & headache
Try this again.........& let me know how it goes
Just realised that I've been being a little thick and pressing the vol down and 'select' button. I'm off to go and have a quiet word with myself!
Doh!
Thanks.

try flashing from internal storage
Try this link, might work.
TRY THIS FIRST........as per cyron_at, and my recommendation. Here are the instructions...
Internal Method of flashing Radio or ROM
1. open from your PC the rar or zip archive and extract only the BIG .nbh file
2. rename as DIAMIMG.NBH
3. copy the renamed file into the root dir of your "Storage Card" or "Internal Storage" (the one of 4Gb... NOT to the internal phone memory!)
4. soft reset your device and within 3 seconds push together the Vol_Down + Back button (the one on the right above the hangup button) and keep pressed until the boot loader appears (the one with the color stripes)

I can't find the file you mention in your reply...
What file are you using?
When you download a rom or a radio the file is always a .nbh file. Put that file and that file only in your Internal Storage (4GB). Not in a folder or anything but in the root of the storage and rename it DIAMING.nbh.
THen follow the instructions in my last post...

I am not allowed to add links to my skype or messenger cause I am new at this forum...
The problem is:
1) No matter if it's my goldcard, normal sdcard or no card at all, my Desire is stuck at the boot screen. Anyone who know what to do?
2) I do this to get as2d to work:
1.Put your Goldcard into your phone and turn on your phone
2.Attach your phone to your PC via microUSB cable (harddrive mode).
3.Copy the r1-a2sd-desire-dalvik-fresh-signed.zip file you downloaded earlier onto your Goldcard sdcard via your phone.
4.Turn off the phone and unplug it from your PC.
5.Turn on your phone while holding the volume down button.
6.You will see HBOOT on the screen.
7.Use the volume buttons to move up and down and power button to select the RECOVERY option.
8.You will now see a red triangle on the screen, at this point plug your phone into your PC via your microUSB cable.
9.Double click on recovery-windows.bat inside the pushfiles_windows.zip folder you unzipped as part of the root process.
10.Looking back at the Desire, you'll see that the red triangle screen is gone and a greenish recovery console appeared.
11.Using the optical trackpad select Wipe > Wipe data/factory reset
12.After this has completed do Wipe > Wipe cache
13.Again, once this has completed do Wipe > Wipe Dalvik-cache.
14.Next select Flash zip from sdcard and select r1-a2sd-desire-dalvik-fresh-signed.zip.
15.Once flashing is over, select the "Power off" command.
16.Unplug your phone from the PC, and replace the GoldCard sdcard with your normal sdcard.
◦Remember to have backed up your normal sdcard before proceeding, as the next step will wipe all data from it.
1.Turn on your phone while holding the volume down button.
2.You will see HBOOT on the screen.
3.Use the volume buttons to move up and down and power button to select the RECOVERY option.
4.You will now see a red triangle on the screen, at this point plug your phone into your PC via your microUSB cable.
5.Double click on recovery-windows.bat inside the pushfiles_windows.zip folder you unzipped as part of the root process.
6.Using the optical trackpad select Partition sdcard > Partition SD
7.Select SWAP=0, EXT2=512 and allow the rest to be FAT32.
8.Select the SD:ext2 to ext3 option in this menu.
9.Go back to the Recovery Console main menu and select Reboot system now. While rebooting, unplug the Desire from the USB port.
10.And thats it! You now have a rooted Desire with apps2sd. Get in!
AT 14.Next select Flash zip from sdcard and select r1-a2sd-desire-dalvik-fresh-signed.zip. I get problems!!!
It says:
E:Can't symlink /system/xbin/[
E:Failure at line5:
symlink busybox SYSTEM:xbin/[
My skype is:
kashmir4life
Any one who can help?
Partition your SD card with SWAP=0, EXT2=512 rest FAT32. Turn on USB-MS, transfer ROM of your choice.zip from your computer, flash that zip from the card and voila.

[Q] Artemis without ROM

My P3300 is without a rom. I had problems previously and had to install the original rom via bootloader mode. It worked for a while then began to freeze and automatically restart at times. tried to upgrade the rom to a different version but was not successful. it gave me the restore mode but was also not successful. Now my phone is without a rom and i cannot install any rom to it as well. it gives me Invalid vendor id error or corrupt image for all the previous working roms i tried. it begins the update then the phone reboots at 2%. need help desperately.
You can try to flash your device with the SD_Card Flash method look for it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Artemis_SD_Card_Flashing
1. Download the original rom for your device that was installed at the beginnig you bought the device with.
2. Extract all the contents of the installer file (winrar or a similar prog.)
3. navigate to the extracted original rom (RUU_signed.nbh)
4. Rename the file to ARTEIMG.nbh and put it in the root of your storage card
5. put the card back in to your device and hold down the voice button after you press the power button.
6. Now your bootloader should show up and check for the ARTEIMG.nbh on your storage card.
7. Slide down the volume button and it should begin to flash your device.
8. After flashing process is finished. Power device off and do a hard reset.
If your device is working again and you need further help for unlocking your device (Super-CID) to flash custom roms pm me or post in this topic.
