"Call Ended"

I've recently unlocked my O2 XDA 2 and am using my easyMobile sim card. Everything worked fine, but in the last two days, everytime i ring, after about 1 second of attempting to ring, it ends the call with a "call ended" message!
Has anyone else experienced something similar, and if so how did you manage to fix it?

Has ANYONE ever managed to get Truefax to receive a fax?

One of the things I found really useful with my old Nokia 9210i was the built-in fax software. Very handy when on the road and you need directions or info in a hurry.
So, was quite pleased that the XDA2s came with fax software. However, I have NEVER been able to recieve a fax.
I do have a dedicated FAX number (& Data number) through O2, and this works fine using the 9210i. I can send out of the XDA2s OK, though it does annoy me that the voice side of the radio gets switched off. However, when I set it to recieve, it answers the call OK, the fax on the sending machine goes through, and then it throws a send error.
The XDA2s just sits there saying 'connecting', and then after a while 'serial port timed out'.
I have had to resort to a Digital Fax-to-email service whilst on the road, and whilst this works OK to a fashion, its not quite as immediate or useful as having the fax delivered straight into your PDA.
Any info or tips anyone has welcomed. Also, interested to hear if you have struggled to get it to work without success.
Seems pointless having the software without the full functionality.
what about qtek 9000 (universal)?
I have a big dilema...will it ever be possible to use fax on my qtek 9000? I have all the required fax services on my sim and software on my phone (TrueFax 2.09), but it still not working to send or receive fax from my device...
And about the fax modem...is this an aditional software, or what because my phone is not detecting any fax modem?

KSE TF 2.09 does really work..I hv sent and recvd no of faxes on the move...since u hv activated Fax services on yr SIM, u need to take care that u enter the Fax no in International format while sending the fax...receiving is not at all a prob..I hope u are aware of the procedures...
no fax sent
I couldn't send it etiher. Was on the move. Needed it.
Another desilussion for a very expensive piece of brick....
how to remove / uninstall truefax since it is not working.
Just asked my provider to activate fax on my SIM by paying a one-time minimal fee, which included a new fax number added to my SIM. Send/receive tested and working with TrueFax.

Hi guys...I am quite new to the whole XDA thing...got a second hand XDA mini S, did a hard reset to start fresh. Trying to use it with Vodafone sim card though. Sim card seems ok, I can send and receive txt messages, but unable to make and receive calls, same problem...starts dialing and then shows 0.00 call ended, no signals, no beeps, nothing...tried with a headset, same stuff....I rang Vodafone to see if they can help with the call settings but they werent very helpful, as the phone is not one of theirs, they just said speak to O2, well I cant really as it is a second hand handset.
I was advice form Vodafone that perhaps the phone is locked to O2 and thats why it can't make any calls, but i can send and receive txt messages and the sim card is read as normal....i am quite confused. I have not tried to do any unlocking on the phone as the sim card seemed to work fine...Can anyone help....Can this be a result from the hard reset I've done..I read somewhere that other people were unable to make calls after hard reset.......
They maybe IMEI blocked, e.g. insurance claimed phone, stolen phone, etc. I think you can call them and see if the IMEI has been blocked. Search the forum, IMEI blocked issue have been discussed here.

Sorry for the stupid question but can you send me a link or directions how can I find a solutions to this IMEI blocked issue. Is there a software to unblock or change? Have not rang O2 to check, but I have the feeling that they will reffer me to the ebay seller.....as I am not a O2 customer, thats what they kind of said to me before.
You don't call O2.. just call your network service (Orange, T-Mobile, etc) providers, they may able to help you to check. Or just google for "IMEI block blacklist" for information.
Trying to use it with Vodafone sim card though. Sim card seems ok, I can send and receive txt messages, but unable to make and receive calls, same problem

If he can send and received text then its not IMEI barred, once a phone is IMEI bared you'll be unable to register with the network at all, and would look like the phone is SIM locked or just not getting signal.
It could be either, a bar on the network, low signal, or something weird with the SIM. Check the sim in another phone, if you can make calls its a hardware issue, if not then its a network issue
Thanks for the advice, sim card is working fine with other handsets, it's just a normal contract Voda sim card. Still can't get it to work with the XDA though. Did second hard reset and same stuff....can send/receive messages but canNOT make/receive calls. Does any one know if this may be result of the hard reset and is there any way of fixing it. If it is a hardware problem as suggested previously what is the way of sorting it out?
Me again...just tried it with O2 sim card....very strange...kept searching for the network for more than 10 min and nothing happened....had to turn it off at the end. 3 card don't work as well, same situation...searching for network....The Vodafone sim card seems to be the only one that gets full reception straight away but then again the problem with making calls remains...I have no idea what network the device was issued on before...
still cant get it to work tried all your ideas
