I've been having a lot of problems with my phone. I've noticed that everytime i boot my phone it says "no gsm D 1.42.00 wwe"....also i've noticed that when i want to see device information it says
ROM version: 1.42.00 WWEE
Rom Date: 09/05/05
Radio Version:
Protocol version:
ExtROM Version: 1.40.125 WWE
There is no information in radio or protocol....I don't know if that poses a problem or anything. Other things is that Battery dies really fast because it heats up soo much i think....i can't access phone functions..... and the reception icon has a exclaimation mark beside it...I've tried to update the rom but it keeps on saying country ID error....i tried to unlock to see if it was locked but it said failed....this phone was unlocked when i bought it soo yeah i don't i kno what to doo
Hope u guys can help

gsm problems
To my knowledge, that means that your pda's phone capabilities are no-longer functional, leaving you with pretty-much half a phone. I bought an unlocked NEC 515 cell phone on ebay and it accepted my cingular sim but I couldn't for the life of me to get it to get reception. The phone was defective..end of story.
but the thing was...it was working in the beginning.....and then out of no where everthin got messed as i stated above.....when i didn't do anything

I am trying to unlock my new Orange SPV 1000 I have used the new XDAunlock to no avail, I successfully installed the new program on the device, ran it and got the message successfull repair!! However when I tried my vodafone sim, it asked for the unlock code!! I have tried several times with the sim in and without. Does this new program not produce an unlock code?
Ideas anybody?

Same XDA II Problem
I have the same result. Just received an Orange M100 (XDAII) in UK at my office. Downloaded updated program, ran fine without any errors. Attempted to install my US T-Mobile SIM... asks for unlock code. The Orange SIM works fine. (When in US, need to use local T-Mobile SIM.)
Update program must need another update unfortunately. (Darn Orange)
Follow-up to previous post...
Forgot device details, apologies.
ROM Image: 1.60.00 WWE
Radio Version 1.10.00
Protocol: 1337.18
ExtROM: 1.60.38
Are you sure it isnt asking for the sim code rather than the phone code? You say you used xdaunlock, you should be using xda2unlock.
Response
I stand corrected... I was using the correct (XDA2UNLOCK) version. I failed to type the correct version in my previous post.
Yes, I'm confident this is not a SIM unlock prompt. It clearly states that this is a Network Provider Unlock prompt.
Thanks.
unlock
i also buyd a spv m1000 in switzerland an want to try a unlock.. so friends please help this man... 8)
Having just tried the lastest version of xda2Unlock, I'm having the same problem.
I copy the xda2unlock program and run it with my ORANGE SIM installed. It says all is fine and tells me to switch flight mode on and off.
I do that then take out the battery and install my Vodafone SIM. The M1000 then starts up showing "MY Info". the signal meter shows an exclamation mark and when I tap the screen it asks me for my normal SIM PIN. I put this in and the next screen says "Service Provider is locked, Please input unlock code" and has a box and an ok button.
If I try any number, including my SIM unlock code, it comes up with a box saying "Invalid Unlock Code" and it says "You have tried -2147467258 times, please wait until timeout..."
ROM version - 1.60.00WWE

Radio version - 1.10.00
Protocol version - 1337.18
ExtROM version - 1.60.38
Model Number of m1000 - PH10A
I hope you can help me as I'd really like to get this voda SIM working in it.
Thanks in advance
---UPDATE---
P.S. - Just W4XY's post in another thread from this morning ....

Actually this is not completely true. There are two versions for unlocking an XDA 2. Unfortunately named the same (xda2unlock.exe), but they can be found in two separate threads in this subforum. Read the first post carefully. The latest version is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=6963
The newer version writes a lock 00000000 to the phone and then unlocks it. However, this process is still quite secure. I have had no report of a phone not working due to unlocking. All problems were in the end related to SIM cards not working (old or blocked) or the phone itself being blocked (insurance claim). One problem that still remains is that Orange phones do not seem to unlock (but the phone remains working normally). That is being worked on.

In the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=6963 a new version of xda2unlock (version 2.2) has been posted that should perform better on Orange phones.
And thanks to me for posting the Orange M1000 ROM to you in the first place )))
Just joking, it works great guys, unlocked my M1000 in a few seconds.

Hello guys,
I have same problem with the above topics, same with my HERME200 X01HT, I already have network unlocking code, but I can not enter the code, because it says.
"You have tried 35 times, please wait until time out" however, I've been waiting for 6days ago but still can not comes out. I still can not enter the code.
What would be the solution for this????

I have SX56, model PW10A, ROM 3.17..03 ENG, radio ver 6.12.
The phone signal/connections gets dropped without any reason, with only recourse is to turn off/turn on the phone or reboot the system. Very annoying.
Since I am not technically capable to download/upgrade the unit. I am willing to pay to have this work done.
Please contact me at [email protected]
hi i have xda1 with t-mobile
it only shows t-mobile and hangs there
it shows
t-mobile
4.01.19
which rom should i use and what is the method to write that rom
Thanx in advance
Normally you should see ROM Version (in you case 4.01.19) and also 2 other Version. But I´m sure, you do not see this numbers....
I think you have flashed the wrong radiostack to your device and now you have GSM Error when you enter the bootloader....
Try this instructions:

Stefan
any thing else
i ve downloaded the same rom version on my phone but still it hangs at the startup with showing
3.17.03
with no radio versions and etc.
The phone was fell down from me and it started the problem from same time.
plz give me solution it is very urgent
You may have damaged some internal component when you dropped the phone. Are you pushing resetting the phone after flashing, by pushing once in the hole under the headset socket then wait one minute and push once more.
You are saying that you have ROM version 4.01.19
If I remember correctly that ROM version can only be unlocked using the SD card method. Is it possible that somebody tried to unlock it and screwed it up?
Either way it sounds like you need a new main board for it.
my phone is finally ok with some problems

You can download this ROM of Jwright. This is the latest available version of WM6. The link here uses a version which does not give a country code error. I suggest you go through this forum to understand the issues involved in upgrading. Everthing has been covered in detail.

thanx a lot.
I'm now downloading it. But isn't it strange for the device not to show it's IMEI number in the device information?
Is there any other way to show the IMEI just to make sure that it;s identifyied for the device?

to get the IMEI code you can also dial *#06# and press the talk button. But it is surprising that this information is not shown on your device info. This info is usually available in the 'Identity' tab in the device info menu.
somebody mentioned something about a problem with the radio stack. I tryed to install a No_ID rom and the system stopped at the radio stack update step.
So is it a hardware that has to be changed or exactly what?
and what has the radio stack to do with the IMEI no not appearing.
Also i tried to dial *#060# but get nothing only an attempt to call & a waiting message!
Sorry for disturbance but I 'm seeking any help

I have a second t-mobile dash, it used to be a brick. Someone messed it up.
Luckly found a way to manully put it in bootloader 3 color mode (holding the camera button for 3-4 seconds and hit the power button), then downloaded the latesest WM6 rom from T-Mobile 1.22.531.4. Flushed succefully, rebooted and the PC part of the phone now works perfectly.
Big problem is that it can not find the T-mobile phone network. That part just keep searching... No network. Testing by plugging in a cingular sim card. Prompt me for sim unlock code. So I guess the sim slot is at least working and it's reading the sim card. Used other perople's sim card, still not working(of course the sim card still work, plugging into my old samsung phone).
The radio version is now 4.1.13.34_02.79.90 . It's way different from my other dash...I am suspecting it to be the cause. WHAT RADIO VERSION HAVE YOU GUYS GOT?
Any idea how to fix it? try with changing the radio version may be?
Thanks
Can a few people just tell me what radio version are you on?
I was wondering, would a stolen phone be locked by the carrier so that the phone can't detect network?
This item is bought through ebay so i don't know what the previous guy was up to..
Thanks
Leo
Radio version change
Come on guys, anyone?
How about if anyone would like to point me to the right direction in how to change the radio version on the t mobile dash... is it a hardware thing or a software thing.
Thanks
Leo
there is a radio updtae in the ftp :
ftp://xda:[email protected]/smartphones/Excalibur
but i don't know if this upgrade is good or not
no, this radio upgrade is no good. do not even bother..
I suggest that you flash original T-Mobile firmware to this handset. Be that WM5 or WM6 and see how you go.
my Excalibur is HTC S620, radio version: 2.63
Firmware or ROM?
Thanks guys for your reply.
SecureGSM : Do you mean the ROM for the whole WM6 software (which I have already flushed.. twice). Or a firmware like a computer bios? If there is a firmware please point me to the right direction I'll definately want to put it in.
Thanks
Leo
Hi,
I was referring to the original WM5 T-Mobile ROM. You might have a better chance with it.
Radio version 4.1.13.34_02.79.90 is provided in the WM6 upgrade from T-mobile.
