i fixed it eventualy by removing the sim card and doing a hard reset
later i reinstalled the sim card but the phone could not connect
went back to a previous rom .... m5000ruu good one for me .... only one that works with the israeli cellular network .... (maybe because my sim card isn't 3g yet)

I'm using Dopod M700 too.
You can use Black & Blue 4.3 or 5.0 (but 4.3 is better) or the best one is Artemis Touch 4.01 (or maybe 4.02 better, I'm testing 4.02).
All of them work good with GPS
Those ROM is for Artemis & Dopod M700 is Love, so you have to change the button setting, it is so easy.
Ok, I found the Dopod P800W CHT Rom from somewhere and flashed my Dopod M700 by editing the hex file to match the Model ID. However, after flashing the Dopod P800W CHT Rom, my Dopod doesn't show EDGE connection but just GPRS. I'm sure that it was EDGE connection with my previous ROM. Anyone know how to get back to EDGE connection? My previous ROM and current ROM are:

Even I flashed the radio Rom to 03.07.90 or 03.12.90, the connection still at GPRS status. Even the Model of P800W and M700 are EDGE unabled in Taiwan. Therefore, I don't know why the EDGE doesn't appear on my connection.

You need to update the SPL to 1.11.0000 in order to flash/update your Dopod M700. you need to go to service mode and using usb cable to update it.

Hi ... Did u fix your m700 ... i have flash this rom and right now i encounter the same issue here..
I try to copy the rom in the micro sd and try to boot up " press " recorder and reset " from SD to write back the rom ... but still not work.... hang in another screen have red,green and blue color ...help help..

if you brick your device you have to copy the original ROM into your SD.. and format your SD with FAT system file.. and then if you press the record botton and the reset and don't work.. try to press the record and the power while your mobile is off.

Thanks for your information... I have work on this machine over 10 hrs to search over the forum here.... at last i can flash it when i press record and reset button and at the same time connect with usb cable ...... after that i can flash it thru PC ...........

Wifi Works Fine,No Problems
But i became no Gsm Signal,it Takes my Pin and Displays "Sim card pro" (is Normal,its an A1 Austra card-it displays this on every Phone)

Re-Flash Kavana or Ricky's 6.1 ROM - It's stickied. Choose either one of them.
Set it up. Pop in your SIM Card and Try again.
Check if your phone is off just incase (in the settings).
If you've done everything and you still can't get the gsm signal and it keeps searching, then either you have a problem where you live or your phones defective. Did you try going outside? Maybe you have a weak signal where you live? Let us know.

Ummm you might need to configure the settings on that phone because you said the original rom worked however the new one didn't. Here try this on the new rom that you have installed (assuming its the 6.1 by Ricky if not download it from below in my signature). After you installed it or have it installed then go to accessories and connection setup and that should get you rolling.

So i downloaded a swedish ROM: DIAM1.37.413.3SVE
And i have the Unsign-Hard-SPL-Diamond-Oilnex 1.40
So when i have installed the SPL, And the Swedish ROM, Everythings OK, Runs like normall BUT when i put a SIM Card inside the Diamond it wont work, Cant call, The Touch screen will not work right, Its freezing and booting the device... Why? Do i need some "Radio" or whats it called?
Im very new about this som please help me and explain good-easy how to do step by step
When i start the Diamond it says;
R 1.00.25.03
G 52.26a.25.09
D 1.37.00.00
If that says anything?

Hi i'm not an expert, but it's not right that when you start the Diamond it says "1.37.00.00" when in fact you have installed ROM "1.37.413.3SVE".
I would suggest try flashing the hard SPL again, then flash the new ROM again. (and use with the signed version of Hard SPL this time for safety against bricking).
Now i tryed the Signed 1.30 Oilnex SPL. And then flashed again with the Swedish ROM.
When i flashed with the Swedish ROM it says that i have 1.30 Oilnex in the display.
But when i start the diamond it still says 1.37.00.00 is that right?
Still it wont work with SIM inside...

That is not really a problem. On my phone, which works perfectly well, I also only see the major number release (i.e. 1.37.00.00). I don't think that's a symptom of why your phone is not working. You should try to find the cause elsewhere, but I also do not know where you should start.
Yes because the phone is working with russian ROM, But not when i install the Swedish... hmm...

the problem is the search for gsm signal! it loses the signal and not think anymore! returns only if the signal is reset! and I tried to download several and repeat several times! the problem persists! this is the only problem!
On my network...
on my network it happends sometimes... but
on my Blue angel sometimes it goes to "0" jejeje just a reset and voila! jejeje try diferent radios... 1.15 is nice... i have 1.06 and works fine... just try them all thats all... or maybe you have to change your sim for a new one or clean your anthenna compenent inside... or get a new battery
or just change your phone!
Or try to insert and piece off your Sd card sometimes mine responds with that trick.

BTW I cant upgrade mine even if a use the maupgrade or baupgrade it shows the id country error...

Sorry if my post isn`t in right place but i'm having wi-fi problem on my Universal and have no solution , the problem is after i updated my 5.0 to wm6.1 - I CAN'T TURN ON WI-FI on , when i push "on" it automaticaly goes "off" mode , i tried several roms and the same story , changed the radio rom to 1.15 - 1.17 and 1.18 - no diference ... when i put back my wm5.0 , everything is fine , wireless work corectly , what should i do to fix this problem ?

thank you i saw all universal wiki and - Yes i tried 3 different 6.1 roms , special and standart editions , different radio roms and it is the same thing - no wi-fi , on 5.0 it all ok , what else i can do ?
