My Diamond is finished?

My phone can not be used anymore.The scren is not sensitive
and can not pass alignment phase. In conclusion the phone is
useless. It is a question softwer or hardwer? Can I connect
to the computer, I can put a new ROM, but can not exceed the
phase alignment screen because the screen does not notify any
touch. Can someone help me?

Install the original rom came with your device, Than HSPL can find them here

Make sure they don't realize you changed the os.
Than return it for RMA or warranty!

Hey give it another go, when I flash my diamond on first boot I have to really bang the screen with the stylus quite a few times in the same spot before it recognises the press, the same with the second one it seems to be fine after that and as long as you press in the same spot as the little cross hair your screen alignment should be fine, give it a go.

Phone always has a white screen, but seems to work

Hi Forum,
I got a dash with the WM 6.1 from this great forum.
Somehow since yesterday the screen turned completely white
There was no physical impact on the phone what so ever...
When I turn the phone on, the screen is all the time white... but the phone is still working since the alarm is still ringing....
I've tried already the following:
- took the battery out for over 6 hours and tried again
- with and without sim/sd card
- to reset the phone but with no success since I cant see anything (2 softbuttons, powerbutton etc.)
- putting WM 6.5 with no success with the Error 270
- pressing and holding any button
- tipping the jagger for 3 times
- and finally hitting the phone
All these steps didnt use me anything...
I'd be gratefull for any sudgestions
Maybe the screen is just damaged and its not because of the software...

Hard-reset will be best option and can be done blind since it's button sequence as known then green key, i knopw that peeps have done it blind and with you spending enough time it will be sorted... The other option is bootloader and flash your stock ROM as won't get an error 270

ok about the hard reset.
I hold both buttons beside green and red button then while holding i turn on the phone (power button more then 3 sec.) after it turned on i let go of the buttons and press the green button (I pressed it a several times). What after that?? will everything happen automatically??
if yes then the hard reset wont help since its still white...
unfortunately I dont have the original ROM anymore (WM5).
Do you know where I can get it??

Can you sync with your PC? That's something that you haven't state in your original post.

From what you have posted in the first post, looks to me like your phone has suffered water/moisture damage. Classic white screen, nothing shows, display turns off after default timeout seconds, phone functions smoothly. For this to occur, you dont have to dunk the phone in water, phone in pocket when exposed to light rain, snow will do it.
If this is the case, the first thing you can do to salvage the phone is to remove the battery, otherwise the charge will short circuit more, leading to irreparable damage.
Second thing, try and keep it open for 24 hours or more and try ONCE more, just once, if the moisture has been evaporated. If not, remove battery again.
Next you will need to find a service center where they will dismantle the phone and physically air dry the PCB, and hopefully if it hasnt already shorted, it will come back to life.
The cost for this could vary from minimal to astronomical, depending upon which country you are in.
Do not take my words for granted, do a google for phone water damage, find out if those are your exact symptoms.

yes I can. I already saved the contact list The phone is perfectly working beside the white display...

I really dont think thats the case. Since I was sleeping on the couch, the phone's alarm went of like at 11 and it was all ok, then 30 min later the screen was all white
And the night before I left the phone at home...
Bringing the phone to some service center is out of question, since I live in Germany... If possible, I'd have to repair it my self...
By the way the Display time out works too... Somehow I got the feeling that it wouldnt use me anything to change the display

install this on your computer http://www.mymobiler.com/
it will silently install on your s620 when it syncs with activesync and you will be able to view your screen from your computer monitor
if everything works buy a new lcd from ebay and replace it because its probably broken

I installed the programm and I can see my display on my monitor
Then I hard reseted the phone
Installed WM6.5 from the forum successfully
But the display is still all white
If anybody thinks that the problems any way not from the display please do tell.

My impression is that you have a hardware problem, maybe your screen has something loose. If you state that you will fix it by yourself, you can read the sticky on how to take apart your dash.

There are also power management settings that will turn the display white, however if it is white all the time, then it's probably hardware. Loose connections does sound possible. I'd check that first

You can try the following:
*- COMPLETELY disassemble your phone.
*- Take the PCBs apart on a table or something.
Then... take an hairdryer!!!
You have to dry your PCBs: take a PCB in your hand and do the work.
Be aware of not using TOO HOT air, or you'll melt all.
If it doesn't work, try to dry your LCD.

Okay, then the only 2 possible fixes are:
*- Replace the LCD Flex Cable if not integrated in the LCD.
*- Replace the LCD.
Hope that you'll get your phone fixed and running

[Q] Black screen

2 days ago my wf still worked fine.
I had done a s-off several weeks ago, i run a custom rum. everything was running fine.
my screen is black and nothing happend.
i m not able to use my phone
with droidexplorer i was able to do a remote control.
sometimes my phone shows the screen and is running (just for 5 minutes and then i ll have to wait min 2 hours...).
i had done a s-on again, flashed the orig ruu files via fastboot.
even in recovery or in fastboot there is nothing to see on the screen
adb still works in recovery mode and then i was able to flash to fastboot.
i resetted all user date, reflashed with custom rom, and flashed all imgs of the rom in the ruu included to get s-on, hboot 0.8, ...
can someone help me?

Sounds to me like the lcd display needs replacing if your not seeing anything in bootloader as that is separate to the rest of the system i think, so I'd rule out a software problem. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though!

Yes it seems like it. Since the underlying system is working and taking commands properly, its most probably the LCD Panel itself (Or the ribbon connector) which has possibly gone kaput.

sometimes it workes. so i think it´s a software prob. but i even don´t know
I d forgot to write...
before i d flash with orig imgs i d had a look ad the logcat and found several entries like: "cpu may be pegged". The phone was really slow...

Lol its certainly a hardware problem, since any settings you have/ had/ done will be washed off when you flash rom, especially an ruu. So do a last attempt. Flash an original ruu. If it doest help with LCD, check this out, re-insert the battery, the plug in charger, watch if led on top lights up, if it blinks several time, let it charge for few hours, as a deep discharged battery wont allow phone turn on untill its charged to its least minimum charge. Then try to turn on,if its still blank/dark; check in. Under an external light source like table lamp or some thing like that, that if any thing is displayed in LCD( provided phone is in on state), if you find any thing, its possibility is that the LCD back light contact/ (led illumination is damaged / or it have a loose contact.
And...
If you don't see any thing, it is possible that you may have some serious issue with your phone like display driver ic/ processor/ ram/ or at least display contacts are damaged.
And if you see some thing in screen, which is dark, the led backlights have damaged/ contacts of led is damaged. In that case go to a local mobile repair center( not HTC) and get it repaired for few bucks. But if you go for HTC, they will surely change the whole display panel, which will cost you a good amount.
If problem is with your motherboard. Ie with ic 's you must go to HTC, though it will cost you, the will provide you a service warranty, also ensure that nothing is messed up. To the worst case, they will ask for a change of main board, which may cost you half of your phone's cost.

[Q] Wildfire S screen sometimes refuses to turn on (Standard ROM)

Hi guys I wonder if you can help me. My friend broke his Wildfire S screen and asked me if I could fix it. I got a new glass / digitiser from eBay and replaced the screen. All look fine to me so I took it back to him.
It seems since replacing the screen the phone sometimes refuses to wake up when clicking the lock button, or when an inbound call arrives. The phone rings but there is no sign of life other than the ringing noise. If you then plug in the charger the screen will turn on and you can use the phone as normal. I've tried a factory reset on it but nothing seems to help.
I haven't replaced the LCD just the glass/digitiser, and can't think of a reason in doing so would break other functions of the phone. Can anyone help or suggest what might be the problem here? I'm a competent repairer and have replaced the screens on many Laptops, iPhone's and iPad's but this is my first encounter with a HTC.
I believe it is a stock ROM branded O2 - Details from the phone are ...
Android Version - 2.3.5
HTC Sense Version - 2.1
Software Number - 2.26.206.1

i have a similar problem,
I have replaced the digitizer but the phone doesnt start. I press the lock buttom and the phone vibrates, but the screen is black, nothing apears...
What can i do?

I've no idea been trying for ages, I'd like to try a newer ROM but can't get the phone in to S-OFF.
I've done the whole HTC Dev thing and unlocked the boot loader etc, but can't find a stock rom / RUU that will flash to it.
And here's me thinking this site was going to be helpful and full of people who knew what they were talking about!

I resolved this changing the screen lcd panel

px5 MTCE screen flipped left-to-right

Hi guys,
I just bought a car unit android 8, but the screen sometimes (90% of times) looks flipped left-to-right. Sometimes is also flipped upsdide-down+left-to-right.
And sometimes I get the screen working as it should be, flawlessly, until I do not restart the car.
The defect appears from the beginning, right from the initial logo, and it remains also if I try to reset the unit. Also when I get the "boot" text menu, it appears flipped as everything. (edit - in addition, the touch layer still working in the right way, so I cannot easily understand what I'm touching on the screen, and this makes everything more complicate)
The unit is a px5, 4GB RAM, 8-core, the MCU is MTCE_XRC_V2.93_1.
I didn't already tried to overwrite the android files, because I'm trying to get some assistance from the producer. Anyway the product is coming from China, so I guess I will have to do it by myself. Until now, I rebooted, reset, cleaned, changed startup settings, and spent a lot of time in doing and re-doing all these tasks, but the unit still like at the beginning.
My question for you: do you think is it hardware problem, or can be fixed with a firmware update?
Do you have any suggestion, setting or trick in order to solve the problem?

It looks like a hardware problem indeed. The touchscreen 'digitizer' is apart from the display in the front. You could try if the ribbon cable inside the radio is firmly connected to the mainboard i guess. Otherwise i think a new screen..?

I will have the same issue with this same units. I write to selller , he send me a new spare part responsible for displaying the image.

I have the same problem. What is the spare part that solve this probem? Thank you in advance.
