Hello!
I have a Himalaya phone(Dopod 699), however, I drop it accidently with USB connector plugin, and it can't recharge or sync. I check the connector on the MB is loss or broken. It's SMD pin on the other side of the connector. Does anyone have the connector layout information, so I can unsolder and solder it back?
Thank you very much.

Hi,
need to know what type of mini USB is on the circuit ? how many pins?
thanks
All mini USB connectors should be created equal, usb (including usb mini) its what is called an idustry standard, thay have 5 pins total, same shape and size always, I wouldn't even suspect that some connector maker could took off any of the pins out, what surely should be, is that the connector must be a PCB mounting type, it would be a better idea to open the PDA, take off the connector and bring it with you when you buy the new one.
One easy solution -that I think someone in the forum has already mentioned- would be to use another device's mini usb conector (such as a broken bluetooth headset or a memory multicard reader).
hopefully tommorow i'll be able 2 post photo
Hi. I have the following problem: the miniUSB jack, the pins are bent. I can charge the cellphone, but activesync does not work, windows recognizes the device as an unknown device. I do not know how I see the the pins are properly bent. Is there a trick? I hope you can help me. Pascal
Same Problem, USB Jack pins for charging bent
I got a used Prophet from a customer wich doesnt charge
or sync's to Active Sync.
I recognized the two bent Pins and the task is now:
does any one know where to get a new USB jack?
I will solder it in my selfe but i need the partnumber of these
usb jack or i have to finde an identical one. (maybe I disassamble
one of the dead Prophet's in my collection ;(...) but getting this SMD
usb jack off the Mainbord without any damage is a bit difficult,
so i prefere a new part for these repair.
Does someone know where to get a
partlist / Boardlayout with partnames on it.
You need this
just correct it with the stylus .......
Insert the stylus or a toothpick to the port and straighten the 5th pin
cheers!!!

I bought an I747 and need to replace the USB jack. I bought a replacement on eBay and the jack has about 11 pins on the back that solder into the circuit board. There are 6 pins reasonably spaced that appear to be the USB ccircuits. On the outer edges are groups of pins very close together, one side has 2 pins the other has 3. It is very difficult to not bridge these pins with solder. I'm wondering if they serve an individual purpose or can they be soldered as a group? I am getting the USB not recognized error also. I have managed to solder then individually as far as I can tell. Anybody know what those putter pins do?
Hi,

Hey guys,
I recently replaced the usb port on my LG G3, and while re-flowing the port i knocked off one of the resistor banks and re-flowed the IC directly below the usb port.
has anybody got a high res image of that area of the board so that I can ascertain if I am missing any of the components?
i think i am missing one of the 0102 resistors from the back.
Cheers .
found the schematic.

discovered that the flux that i used to de-solder the usb connector and gummed up the springs contacts for the speaker , so i dropped the board in some alcohol to remove what i could and added a bit of solder to the speaker terminals to give it a bit of height.
works like a charm now.. i can stop looking for a new phone.
