Camera Problem - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro Software Upgrading

Hey Guys,
I just noticed today that when I take pictures with my camera, it takes about 5 seconds to take pictures and if any body moved while the picture is being taken it comes like its out of focus, also the video recording comes very slow and sluggish…
Any ideas why this is taken place
I have MDA Pro…PLEASE HELP…

Make sure the images/videos are being stored in the main memory. Also for photos - images are taken alot quicker when the Auto is selected as opposed to Daylight, or Incandescient, or Night etc.
Hope this helps - its not very quick at taking pictures even with doing all the above.
Matt

Thanks...
Thanks, I will try that, I have had my pics saved to the Storage Card...
I will try and let U know...

I had read that for a 4gb card - you need to ensure that over 2gb is used up otherwise the camera app wont be able to cope with it.
I have also read of the card being wiped because of this - so be careful.
Just fill it up with mp3's or something.

that's because the universal only has a 1.3mp camera. the higher 2mp setting in the default app is software enlarged/interpolated. you will probably get better quality pictures using the cameras optical resolution, and if you need them bigger for use other than on your phone, there is software available that will do a much better job of enlarging it than the phone app.

Or you could get a digicam.

Browsing photos on Desire - blurry pics

Has anyone else noticed this? When you go to Photos on your Desire and browse them - even if full screen - they never show up sharp, but bit blurry. If you zoom in/out on them they soon sharpen up. Weird.
Just wondering if its an issue with my phone or general issue.
Sorry few posts this morning... Its been a Desireble morning.

There's an explanation for that..
http://phandroid.com/2010/04/13/images-look-blurry-on-android-2-1-theres-a-reason-for-that/
Thanks for the link. I agree with the many opinions that this is an issue with resolution, NOT color depth. The pics are blurry - not sharp.
Hope this can be fixed soon. I use the Photos gallery to show pics to friends etc and it doesnt look impressing.

I think you're mistaking the Cooliris gallery you find on stock 2.1 with the Photo gallery on the Desire which is HTC's own app for Sense UI.
Look up Cooliris and Nexus One.

My mistake. I've not got my Desire yet (Roll on, Monday) so just thought they'd be using the same gallery app.
If you find any information on this matter though, keep us posted.
To the OP, could you elaborate? Are these pictures you took on the phone camera? Did you sync them from your PC and if so did you just drag and drop them onto the SD or did you use some syncing software i.e. Doubletwist? Did you download them from the phones browser and if so was it over Wifi or 3G?
I just sent over a large photo (4656x3600) and it's sharp in preview mode and zoomed in. I synced some photos using Doubletwist and it reduced the size of the photos without me knowing...so it wasn't the phone. Pictures I've taken with the phone are also fine.
Its most noticeble with photos taken with the Desire camera. If you zoom in or out they sharpen, otherwise they are bit fussy.
Please check if the zooming does any difference on yours?
I'n not having this problem at all with my Desire.

Yes, I see what you're talking about. The picture isn't shown full resolution until you do some zooming in or out.
I must say, personally it's not that big a deal, and I can't seem to find any way to change that behaviour.
Is it possible to install Cooliris on the Desire?

Yes, but that just degrades the visual quality WAY more than the HTC photo app.

It does?? I heard it is a great app...
I'm not having any such problem with either the photos app or the Gallery3D app
They show blurry as the system is showing a lower quality thumbnail that it has saved so that browsing between them is quicker. Once you start zooming in it loads the full size image and it becomes sharper.
any update on this , as a photographer i have my portfolio
on my Desire handy to show my pictures to anyone that is interested..
but it always take me to zoom them in a little to render them sharp which is a pain in the but when wanting to show them off in a quick manner...
if not any good alternatives then the gallery...

LG built it to have a low iso and low shutter speed to keep it bright. It's not broken, but I didn't know if anyone knew how to modify anything to change it, or have an app to do so.
Try Camera FV-5 app. You can adjust iso and wb manually.

[Q] Need a stable rom with camera that can take small pictures for work

Hello, I have an LG G3 and I am looking to start using it on the field at work, I need a rom that has a camera that can take 640x480 (.3mp) pictures, 1 mp pictures or something close.
I installed the skydragon rom but the lowest I can take pictures is at 3mp and each pic is over 1MB in size.
If anyone can check their roms and try and let me know I would appreciate it, thanks.

Go to the play store and download the app called Open Camera, it's the best fitting solution and quickest to your problem.

Photo quality

Say "cheese", then rate this thread to express how photos taken with the Moto E4 Plus come out. A higher rating indicates that photos offer rich color (without over-saturating), sharp detail (with all subjects in-focus), and appropriate exposure (with even lighting).

I'm not a big user of phone cameras. I never use any settings. I just open it, take a picture, and move on. If I can take a picture of what I want, and tell what it is later, and be able to enjoy looking at it, I'm happy. This camera does it's job well. No complaints.
I'm ugly, but I took this with the e4 on lineage.

Hi,
I have same problem with poor quality pictures and discovered and installed a new app from PlayStore. It is about FreeDCam and for me it makes a huge difference when taking pictures.
Also may be opened with double click on Power button.
Wish you all best.
Hi. I have this phone. It is from a family member. I've updated it to version 113. I've rooted it. all good. but in the rear camera, the maximum resolution is 5mpx. and in the front chamber, the maximum resolution: 13mpx.
that is, the reverse of what it should be. and in addition, the photos with the rear camera are out of focus.
I will try to go back to the rom stock, because before rooting and unlocking bootloader, it was fine.

Galaxy S9 breaks up videos over 4 GB

I need to use my phone to record a long video (about an hour) I have tried different resolutions and in all of them it breaks up the video in smaller videos all with limit 4gb. I tried recording on SD card and the actual phone with the same results. Any ideas?? Thank you

Yeaap me too, also the shutter speed is limited to 10s, but with that app I saw you are able to shoot with 20s, so it's kinda tempting to me because I like shooting long exposure, but no no.
