thanks for the great site.
ive had my BA for over a year...despite the occassional hangup it works fairly well. however all of a sudden when i try to make an outgoing call other than to my voicemail i get 3 beeps and the call is then ended. the weird thing is that this doesnt happen all of the time and with no apparent pattern.
i cant understand why this is happening as i havenet changed any of the software / network.
please help me !! i'm very tempted to see how many pieces i can break it into with one throw.

That is the behaviour of a network barred handset.

however there is no reason for my phone to be network barred ! i bought the phone while on the o2 network, had it unlocked and have been on vodafone for over a year with it working fine. i understand if it was barred it would block all my calls (maybe except vmail). thing is the 3 beeps i get are intermittant and dont happen with every call.
do you think it could be something to do with changes to vodafone and the way the xda works with vodafone. i'm not a techie person, but even this reason sounds unlikely to me.
any further ideas would be appreciated

oh yeah...forgot to mention...i've had the phone since new and am the 1st and only owner of it
i get this sometimes also... and i think mine has to do with wm5, but im not for sure....
ok but i'm running WM2003se
is there anything that you do to your mobile to get it to dial out?
does anyone think that a rom upgrade or a radio upgrade may solve my problem?

there are 2 big problems i have found with my Qtek 9090 since i bought it about 3 days. Its kinda soon to find out this big bugs, so i would like to know is these are general people issues or they are happening only to myself...
1.- somehow after some standby time, i can't hear neither do the caller hear what im saying tru a conversation. This is solved by soft reset the device... also founded in this forum that by enabling bluetooth all time, this issue can be ignored and the phone works quite well... (stable)
2.- when im connected to GPRS, speak about MSN, IE or Mail .. and i make a call (don't iven make the call during 5 seconds) i imediately lost the GPRS connection and wont be able to reconnect to it ... i always receive an error saying " unknown error found ... try to reset the device as the owner manual indicates .. something like this... "
in fact i have to soft reset each time to get GPRS working again.. and im really sad by doing this all the time ... but i dont know if anyone else has this problem, please let me know any information that could be helpfull, i realy apreciate.

I had the same problem with not being able to be heard during a call. I upgraded my ROM and the problem went away.
Not sure about GPRS.

I have tried searching everywhere but i cannot find anyone with a similar problem.
I have an o2 XDA 2s which so far has been the best phone PDA i have used.
However, I have one small problem sometimes which happens about once in every ten calls i answer or dial, I cant hear anything the person on the other end is saying and they cant hear me too, althought the phone shows im connected and the call duration works as well. However, I am able to make/recieve calls as normal if i do a soft reset which takes about 2 mins, rather irritating. Has anyone had a similar experience? Its just so fustrating when the phone is such a superb phone that this rather small problem happens.
Please can someone advise me on what the best thing to do is, I have tried a hard reset but this has not solved anythinga and the problem remains.
Should i try upgrade using the upgrades provided for the XDA 2S on the o2 site? i understand this flashes the ROM or something. Is this easy to do and is there a chance of doing worse damage when flashing? also my XDA which is an O2 phone is unlocked onto all networks, i.e. orange, tmobile, vodafone, does this mean if i flash the rom that i will lose the unlocked networks and be stuck on O2? I would be very grateful if someone could advise a newby as to how i could rectify this problem on what otherwise is a superb phone.

Try keeping Bluetooth ON all the time. Check if problem still occures...

i have been looking around here for the last few days and i have learnt a good bit. so far i have upgraded my rom to wm6.5 which is good but now my phone only lets me make or recieve calls sometimes and sometimes it says connection is wrong or number is wrong something like that.
so can anyone help please?

Look at your dialing rules, it could be that the phone is adding a digit or two every time it dials out. The radio suggestion might work as well.
Hi guys I'd like to know if there is any way to unlock this phone, a friend of mine just found it in a cab, and 3g is working but not calls and SMS.
Any solution?
I guess is something related with the country I think the phone is Italian not sure.

XDA doesn't support illegal activities.
There is one good way of unlocking it.

Hello all, before I start, I just want to say that English is not my native language so please be nice to me . Okay here's the issue:
I have a HTC One M8 (T-mobile version), it is not rooted and using t mobile stock rom right now. For the past 2 days, I can text and call other people but they can't call/text me ( what weird is that when I call other people and they pick up the phone, all the texts that they have sent me arrive on my phone). This is my first time experiencing this issue, any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Have you tried contacting T-Mobile? It sounds like a Network issue that's likely on their end. Only recieve text when you make a secure connection to a tower.
If you haven't talked to them about it already do so. Let them know to either refresh your connection to the tower... Basically what they do is tell you to turn off your phone and they remove your phone from the tower so when you turn it back on it's as if it's the first time on the tower. Or have them reconfirm the right IMEI of the phone is on your account.
Either way what you are describing sounds like it's their fault.
