Hello all,
I intend to update to an iMate soon (as in Australia, I've found, they're considerably cheaper than the XDA II for some reason), but I don't want to shell out my hard-earned dollars for accessories I don't need.
I have an additional AC power adaptor / charger for the XDA I which is rated at output +5V @ 1A.
Is this adaptor (it's an original) the same as the XDA II adaptor?
Same goes for the car charger too - I have an original which I'd like to keep (since I'll get bugger-all resale) - is it identical to the XDA II car charger?
Thanks in advance.
Codenix.
I use my xda1 charger for both xda1 and xda2.

G'day Codenix
Sure! The XDA and XDAII (and iPAQ) chargers are all the same connector and 5VDC / 1.5A and higher..
So yes - they're all interchangeable based on the specs of each.
P.S. If you're looking to upgrade to an iMate go to
http://www.c1au.com/imate.html
(iMate PDAs for $1299).
Cheers!
Andy
is the xda 2 car charger same as the xda 2s one just bought xda 2s of ebay and sold my xda 2 but woundering if i can use the car charger for it ?
There's a little calibration pin on the blue angel, you can use the xdaII cable but you'll need to file/scrape a bit off the cable's connector
You can also use some force to get it in but that is not advisable
The connectors are the same except for the $%^& gap in newer cables
thanks for your help m8
All I did when I got my iMate XDA2 car charger was swap the dongles on the end.
I am seriously thinking about upgrading from my Himalaya to a Blue Angel but I am curious which if any of the accessories are compatible?
Currently I have:
(2) USB cradles
(2) batteries
Car Charger
Sync Cable
Backpack *I know this is not compatible*
Are any of these still usable? Especially the batteries, the sync cable, the car chargers? I doubt that the cradle is, but would be nice so I don't have to buy another for work.
I am really trying to justify if this is a worthwhile upgrade.
Thanks in advance.

batteries wont work......its not a seperate battery this time, its a battery/back cover combi this time.
cradles didnt work on mine, but u get one with the device anyway so u wouldnt need to use an xda2 cradle. i upgraded from xda2 and the only thing that worked on my xda 2s/xda3 was the car charger. the jack is slighlty different, but still fits. but also my jack detatches from my house charger and fits on the end of my car charger , how cool. the sync cable, i never seen, but if it sticks in the bottom of the device like the charger then it should fit, let us know if u upgrade and what is compatable.
Hi guys! So I bought a qi charger from amazon to use out in my car but when it arrived I noticed it was way bigger than I thought it was so today I opened it to see if there is a way to adapt it and for my surprise it isn't as much of a trouble but my question is can I just stick it to the car mount and not put any thing covering the charger and place my phone on it or does it need some kind of protection? I attached some photos of the open charger and the thing itself, thanks for your help!

Ok... So I am confused as to what HDMI adapter to get. I just want the thing to charge while plugged into the TV.
Is MHL have to be supported by the TV too? I don't care if I have to use another cable to charge. I got this one, HDMI works but doesn't charge. Shows a red x on the battery icon.

Can anyone confirm that this one does indeed charge?

Hello mate. Cannot confirm that specific one but I can confirm the genuine samsung MHL 2.0 does charge as I have this one. Can be found here http://www.amazon.co.uk/Genuine-Sam...&sr=8-1&keywords=samsung+mhl+2.0+hdtv+adapter
Thanks. But damn. .. it is $65 shipped in the US.

From what I read, the red X on the battery icon means it is getting a charge but not at full speed.
I got the same with a powered USB hub. So whether you charge up or remain at what you at, depends a bit on how much you need, and how much trickles in.
Whether it's good for a battery the get a small charge and remain level or even loose charge is an other matter.

Well, I bought a MHL adapter by Samsung, and while the tablet seems to confirm that the adapter works, I never got to duplicate the screen at my TV... I have no idea what's the problem...
Buy an HDMI MHL adapater and make sure it's one that comes with the usb wall charger and is 3 wires running all into one unit. Should charge without a problem. You don't have to buy expensive ones just make sure any cheap solutions are at least decent material.
How many pins does the note have, 5 or 11?
