In fact, this rom is: 1.30.107, (12.04/2006) all "newest" roms dated between 12.04-17.04, (Tmob NL, Tmob UK, Dopod, etc.) there is not a big difference, except radio rom and extended rom.

Is this the newest firmware?

Hi all,
Is this the newest version possible at the moment?
Android version : 4.0.3
HTC Sense Version: 4.0
Software Number : 1.29.401.11
HTC SDK API level: 4.12
HTC Extension Version: HTC Extesion_403_1_GA_7
Kernel: Briked
Baseband version: 1.1204.105.14
Browser version: Webkit / 534.30
I am asking because I checked out a black HTC One X at the store lately and I think the camera might be a newer version since I compared them side to side and the black one had a slightly cleaner image (When displaying small letters). And also the yellow hue which is quite accented on the white one was missing.
Thanks for any input.
All the best
Edit:
I forgot to mention, I am using the Ir1-1.29.401.11-DUO Deodexed version. Does this one upgrade normally from the server?
Thank you very much.
You're using a custom ROM based on the current official ROM. You won't get OTA updates from HTC
Latest unofficial version is 2.05, mean as you're using a custom ROM you might as well try this, seems smoother than the others and gives me slightly more battery. Bare in mind this is a prerelease firmware
Latest official is 1.29 (which you have)
Thank you for both the replies, in that case I might try using one of the custom roms that you can find.
All the best

I just installed LeeDroid Extreme, which is my favorite custom rom.
How can I use the 2.05 base with Leedroid? Do you guys have a download link for it?
Thanks again
@25092992
Thanks, i'll give it a try once I find it
You can't, Lee hasn't updated it to use the new base...

Looks like not. There are few users keep saying it is possible, but no one show the way how.
New bootloader can't boot 2.17.XXX.X roms, for now, question is what about new radio too...
But impossible things can become very possible after few days here on XDA
I suggest to wait few days, thing will become much more clear...
figured so
i flashed custom rom once and stucked with them tell the official release for my country appeared
don't want it to happen again
i think others who can say its possible means jb from cyanogeen or any based rom cause its built from scratch and its open source completely independent on official htc roms

[Q] Stock 5.0

Hi,
I can see something has leaked already because of SkyDragon ROM's with Android 5.0 etc. But i cannot find a "clean" 5.0 image, without things changed etc.
Is it already out there or not?

[Q] Can custom rom's firmware base be different then what my phone came with?

Hi everyone, enjoying my awesome M9 like everyone else =D
and its time to move on to the custom rom goodness.
I can't seem to find an answer to the question. (maybe its too obvious? coming from s3)
Mine is a M9 (hong kong), with 1.32.708.15 (s-On) and all the custom roms are 1.32.401.17 based.
Is it safe to Flash it?
This is the only info i managed to find at the ARHD 5.0 OP with regards to the question.
"- If your current firmware version doesn't match ROM firmware version, wiping data inside AROMA is highly recommended!"
Would be nice if I can get some confirmation from you guys.
Yes it is fine right now since it is the same base. Get soff while you can so flashing firmware in the future is easy. Remember always backup first. Use twrp 2864

I did this on the M8 before, I had problems with the wifi and it took ages to boot until I found out that my firmware is old and different from the rom.
Anyway, I did what you are trying to do yesterday, (firmware 15/ rom 17) for a couple of minutes, didnt find any problems.
Before you flash any ROM, BACKUP your system and move it to your PC and use the latest TWRP
Thats good to hear! I'm gonna give it a try once i'm back in town! Thx!
Please Help me!
I have a HTC (M9) Verizon, and base is 1.33.605.15, it is advisable to downgrade the base to 1.32.401.17?? (for install customs roms with this base)

ONLY. use firmware for your phone. if you flash a gsm firmware on a cdma phone you are asking for trouble, big time.

Ok to flash 2.10.401.1 Roms if on 2.11.531.19 (tmo)?

If my current firmware is 2.11.531.19 (tmo - US), can I flash Roms built for 2.10.401.1? Or would I need to downgrade my firmware to do so?
Thanks in advance for your guidance,
Mario
there is no problem at all, since you have developer firmware wich is cornerstone for 2.10 it is tottally fine =D i flashed dev 2.11 and placed custom rom ViperOne 3.5.0 based on WWE edition 2.10...so dont you worry my friend!

Yes u can flash the roms. I'm on same firmware and I flash them all the time.
Some may not have added t-mo specific features so u won't get Wi-Fi calling or volte.
But most of the m9 roms have the options for t-mo in the install menu.
