XDA unlock tools work on HP iPAQ 65xx / 69xx? - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

While it's hard to find much information confirming this, I believe that HTC is manufacturing the 65xx and 69xx for HP.
1. Is this true?
2. If so, will existing XDA utilities work on them?
Insights appreciated!

xdamanipulator should have been removed, because it can change IMEI numbers, which is illegal.
Personally I have my stolen XDA back because the thiefs didn't know how to change IMEI numbers so I really feel strongly about this.
I read posts about the xda special edition rom v1.2 . I was wondering where i can download a premade special edition rom as in the forums it says that i have to make it myself and how would i instll this rom on to the sx56 using the cradale.
thanks once again
there is a link to in on the frontpage of this site
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/SpecialEditionROM
but it's an pretty old rom it's 2002 not 2003 and it's not even the newest 2002 thats why people recommend that you cook your own rom
if i wanted to just unlock the sx56 how can i do it with the XDAunlock tool.....this tool will unlock both the SIM lock and the SID lock???? whats a sid lock????
also where can i cook my own rom???

You will find there are other reasons for wanting to change imei besides disguising a stolen/lost phone.

How to get a ROM from a device?

Hi,
I got asked by several people now who have wrongly applied a ROM udate to their device whether I could provide them with my original ROM from my device.
They have broken some of their devices' functionality, such as non-working trackball, keyboard, etc.
I have no idea on how to rip my ROM from the device and safe it to a file on the HDD.
Which tools do I need?
Appreciate any link to existing entries or further reading...
I have a Toshiba G710 (VDA GPS, Amoi 6711).
Is the procedure always the same with any Windows Mobile device?
Many, many thanks in advance.
no it's rarely the same procedure on various wm devices

But which tools do I need and how to get the ROM off the device?
Check this tutorial out: http://www.xperiax1.net/forum/how-t...rom-first-backup-your-stock-rom-how-here.html
Just make sure to DL the most recent version of HTC ROM Tools and replace the one in the kitchen. Also, if your device is not listed in that app, you will be able to dump the rom, but not reconstitute it successfully. That's where I am at right now.
Cheers

RadioComm v11.11.11

Guide on how to actually use Radiocomm 11.11.11?
I've only seen screen shots for it but it has a lot of options and looks like a really complex program. All I need it for is to simply flash SPRecovery.spf on my phone when I root it. So could anyone link me to a Radiocomm flashing guide or at least tell me what I need and what to do and if I need to do it before or after rooting? Thanks and I've rooted a lot but never changed recoveries, all the one click root apps give me recoveries that I hate such as RA-eris V1.6.2 because they are a pain. I'm manually rooting my Eris [I've already done manual rooting before] and just choose my own recovery and SPRecovery has gotten a lot more kudos than RA-eris v1.6.2 [Amona Ra?] and ClockworkMod. If anyoen also knows of any other recovieres they like better than please let me know, but for now just a good how to guide for flashing with Radiocomm. Thanks a lot in advance guys! =]
Hi There,
I apologize for not having any links off hand, (though i may be able to update int he future).
I know i have ran across a few guides for radiocomm on the internet... Try using Google.com, and keep an eye out for .pdf files..
I am sure you can tinker around in the menu's also... It is a very robust program...
And, just curious... Did you mean to say .SBF file? instead of .spf?
Good Luck
Here You Go,
I found an older manual for Radiocomm... Idk where i found it, or how helpful it may be... but it's a step in understanding...
Good Luck
yep this tool is interresting...
Here is version 11.12.2
Thanks for posting these files but I can't get them to work. They will not find any of my phones. I have the motorola drivers installed and my puter finds the phone but the radiocomm program won't connect, it stays red. I am running windows 7 with motorola 5.5 drivers, net framework 4 is installed. I tried it in compatability mode, the phones are set to pc mode. my phones are a droid 2 global, and two are a bionic. Can someone please help me out?? Thanks!
For all to know.
The low level tools are written for use with WinXP or lower.
Use with a newer Windows in XP-Mode at your own risk.
That's why to keep an old XP machine (or Win2K) on hand.
Good info everyone!!
Here is a backup link to the version epsylon updated us with.. :]

Well technically the most important thing with these kind of programs is the bits. Most of them are written for 32bit OS.
I'm using win8 32bit and all of my tools work fine. Just used Radiocomm today and yesterday to read some info from some older motorolas.
Granted not *everything* will work. I had to use Blackberry Desktop Manager 6.0 or newer to get it work right.
5.0.1 or older would BSOD on me when I tried to do too much with the RIM Virtual Serial Port.
How to use this program to enable the FM radio on my Motorola phone? Someone claims to have done this using this program but he's not responding to requests for more information. I've installed the program but don't want to brick my phone. In the past I've messed with other programs like QPST and QXDM to enable additional bands so I'm not an entire newbie. Thank you.
Here is a link for using radio comm on droid,https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthr

The same issue that I explained few months ago here in another thread, but didn't get an useful answer. I have a Nokia Lumia 920 device, and with many different builds of Win10m, either many builds of WinPhone 8 & 8.1 tried to modify Virtual Memory values, everytime following all kind of guides step by step correctly, but always failed to Interop Unlock my Lumia 920.
I tried to do it following guides that works with Registry Providers and without mentioning them, working with Interop Tool S, with Interop Tool L, with previous versions of them, with Custom PFD, with VcReg, ... with any of possible known tools &/or any version of them, but always failed.
Resuming, I don't know if those tools just works with counted and specific devices where the Lumia 920 is not included, if it is my own Lumia 920 that could have any kind of internal problem that I need to solve first (maybe flashing an specific ROM, unlocking/restoring Bootloader, erasing all and manufacture it again [hahahaha], ...), but I never get success with it.
__
In other way, I use to ask about the possibilities of get a dual boot or change OS on Lumia 920, after read that in few lower models were possible to run Android and install GRUB2 on them (what could give anyone the chance to select between 2 Operative Systems installed), and the typical answer is that "if you want android, just buy an android device" or "work on something like this is not relevant" or "is stupid to try it, because drivers of components and blablabla", and mostly answers with silence (no answer in months/years).
XDA is supossed to be a forum to try to collaborate by developing or helping those who develop or want to implement what others develop. But above all, developing things that could be a big challenge that we want to overcome, because after all, this is what did, does and will continue doing the XDA community the greatest dev community of internet; but with this kind of passive attitude and without any curiosity, (which are reflected in that kind of answers up related), doesn't help at all, and even less in the Windows section, so low and less advanced compared to Android, due to the lack of interest of the most of the great developers of this great family.
Recently I offered myself with my own device in another thread to work in something. Well, let's see in a future if I get any proposal or collaboration. Surely never.

Null IMEI Fix?

My Gemini PDA is suffering from missing IMEIs, due in no doubt to an issue while I was trying to update my device. At present, I have a pure Android installation, which appears to be operating 100% fine (including WiFi). The only issue is that there are two missing IMEIs, so no telephony.
I sadly do not have a backup of NVRAM, so I am presently dead in the water. I have looked at several MTK IMEI writers, but I cannot get anything to work. Much of the software to manipulate MTK-based devices appears woefully out of date.
Can anyone help? I thank you in advance.

Great news -- I reached out to Planet's support team, and after providing them with a scan of my label (to provide the IMEIs), bluetooth and MAC addresses, they produced an NVRAM file along with detailed flashing instructions.
Kudos to Planet for great support. I have never received this kind of assistance from any other OEM. Needless to say, I immediately signed up at Indiegogo for the Cosmo as a way of saying thanks.

Note that the NVRAM partition is unique to a specific phone, since it includes your IMEI as well as other unique information. I did not try to dissect the file to see how hard it might be to adapt it to another device.
The method on this XDA Thread works fine for me.
I confirmed my Gemini 4G shows my IMEI on Setting->System->About Phone->Status->IMEI Information->IMEI (Slot 1)
[GUIDE] Restore IMEI number after an NVRAM clear
This thread will go over restoring the IMEI number if you cleared the NVRAM (or fully formatted your phone). The official tool to use is the SN Writer tool from Mediatek but as the P60 processor is not compatible with that, I had to search for...
