any warranty on the xda orbit??

just wonderign i bought this last december on contract with o2
does it come with a 12 months manufacturers warranty?
as most devices do???
havent got insurance nor anything else
so please advise on situation and how xda or o2 get invovled in this warranty?
hi, yes there is a 12 month warenty for xda phones.....i think the number is 08081003427
just phone them up tell them what the fault is, and theyll post you a prepaid postage box to post the phone to them......but if the fault is of carelessness be prepared to pay.

If your on a 18 or 24 month contract they apparently cover you for that period too.
masked marauder that is insurance
Warranty covers you for a year unless otherwise stated and the warrenty is from the manufacturer of the device, htc in this case, for £7.50 a month, on o2's insurace, covers you against everything, and the replacement fone they send u is a brand new 1, warranty is for some thing that goes wrong through general use example the usb or trackball

Not according to the paperwork I got with the device a few days ago. In any case UK consumer rights are not anything to do with the manufacturer's warranty, under consumer rights the goods must be fit for purpose when it comes to durability. Thus if they are part of a deal that involves a contract you have the right to expect the goods to function correctly for the period of the contract. These rights are between you and the seller, not the manufacturer.

My 1 year warranty expires today... and I have a power button issue

So my 1 year warranty on my phone expires today (June 4th - received phone on launch day) and I do not have insurance. I'm having horrible power button issues where I am forced to wake the screen using my volume buttons.
My friend who works for sprint has replaced the power button, and it's still a no go.
I am willing to dish out the $35 for a refurbished device, but is this not an option to me anymore now that the 1 year is up? Or... Can i get a replacement device after this 1 year warranty.
As I understand, the 1 year warranty is solely from HTC and has nothing to do with Sprint. But I could be wrong...
Dont think you can do anything bud

You can still get a replacement for $35, even after the 1 year warranty is up. The only the the warranty has to do with in a Sprint store is the battery. After the 1 year, service locations won't be able to order you a battery if it goes bad, you'd have to buy one yourself.
just call tech support and request and advanced exchange, if they dont want to, i can do it for u, i just need your phone number. PM if they dont want to do it

Servicenet warranty worth it?

Bought the N7100 from Newegg 28 days ago. I'm trying to decide if I should get the servicenet warranty for 2 years ($159). It covers accidental damage with no deductible. Seems too good to be true. I know there are other warranty options but I need to add it within 30 days so I'm in a hurry to decide. The thought of something breaking with no international warranty worries me.
Thoughts? It's transferable and will at least increase resale value.

I ended up purchasing the extended warranty myself, via Newegg...I did the 1 year though figuring I would want the note 3 when it comes next year. I paid $46 for it, on sale, figured why not. Hopefully, if it need be, the plan is as good as they claim to be!

[Q] Have I void the warranty?

I'm pretty sure I already know the answer to this but I'm asking here to get confirmation. About 2 months ago, I dropped my HOX and cracked the screen, went to a 3rd party repair shop to get it fixed.
Last Tuesday, dropped it again and cracked the screen again. However my phone has developed a different problem, for which I phoned up HTC UK and it's booked in for repair, they're collecting it next week. However as the phone has already been opened to fix the screen the first time, I suspect the warranty is now void. Does anyone know what will happen if they receive it in? Will they still repair it or say that they can't help? I don't want to pay the £25 charge if they won't repair it.
Thanks

Sent my 5x back to LG, they are replacing the board under warranty!

My 5x worked since I bought it on the original sale date, somehow it stopped working recently. So after hearing about the class action settlement and the warranty extension, I sent in my phone. Just got notification that they are replacing the board, and returning it to me. I'll follow up if I have other issues.
If you have a faulty 5x, send it back to get it fixed!
Hope
How long have you had it? We've had 3 in the family, all 3 croaked. The other 2 google replaced cause on project fi. My wife's died yesterday. It was bought new off an eBay seller couple years ago. Where did you buy yours? What # did you call also? Thanks
I just set up a warranty repair (USA) for a boot-looping Nexus 5X by calling LG at (800) 793-8896 (6am - midnight CST). I bought it from Google on 9/29/2015, which was the original release date, like the OP. They do ask for proof-of-purchase, so I'm not sure about second hand e-bay purchases. Since the warranty is extended past their normal 1 year, maybe it isn't as important to establish the date.

If I hadn't used my dead one's screen to repair my daughter's phone I'd have a nice working 5x. LG extended the warranty to 30 months on bootloop issues because they did not want to take hundreds or thousands of people to arbitration.
Now I have a k20 plus running nougat. Meh.
