screen rotate icon - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

Hi all
I dont like the default O2 install (think its a little slow / big)
I perfer todo a hard retset and press the reset button when it gives me the customising screen
Im just wondering is there a way to have the screen rotate icon on all the time ? (as default it only shows on screen if you click o2 active menu)
also is there a way to rip / download the o2 gprs settings ? I have tryed to manually set this up a few times but had problems someone said theres a way to install the settings from within the rom (without installing all the o2 stuff)
I have searched and not found much
a nudge in the right direction would be apriciated
Thanks

there is a CAB from the O2 ext rom that I've seen posted in the forum.. I decided not to use an ext rom and formated it and left it blank.. find its just as easy to install the software you want then run xBackup and have your backup ready to restore in case you have a hard reset.. keeps your install clean and fast

Oxion on B&B

Im using orbit with B&B V2 Rom. There is a program called Oxion, whenever i load it, the device get stuck and i need to soft reset.
Any ideas ?
Do you mean Oxios, it loads with the rom on startup and is probably already running which is causing your problems......
The icon can be seen in this screen grab....here It is above "contacts" on the first screen, the icon on the left gives access to running programs using memory and the right is Oxios, a simple util that frees up memory for applications..
Hope this helps......
Yes sorry it's Oxios...
but i wonder why when i tap the icon, i see the info. and then the device just get stuck....maybe i shouldnt ap it... ?

Been there!
Had a similar problem a while back

The only solution I found was to wipe the Rom and start again! Sucks, but it seemed to be the only option.
Go get a PIM backup utility - Spb Backup - and save all the PIM data then do a full ROM update (even if it's to the same ROM you have now - you need to fully reinstall)
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=BlueAngel_WM5_For_Beginners
Still, look on the bright side - it's a chance to clean away all the clutter, and update to the latest ROM ;-)
I would advise getting a piece of cloning software (Spb Clone) and using it reguarly as you are reinstalling! Then, if this happens again, you can just clone back to the last version that worked!

(I think Spb Software should be paying me, with all the advertising I keep doing for them on these forums )

Extrom not working?

Ok I've read over the Wiki's and searched through the threads but to no avail. (Sorry if there is just didn't show in my search)
What I'm trying to do is restore my O2 Asia XDA IIs to its original factory setup but latest version.
I have the files
- ba_o2asia_14000_923_11200_ship.exe 41.2MB (41MB as original zip)
- O2_IIs_Asia_Ext_ROM_140923_WWE (folder with all contents) 15.5MB (6.5MB as original rar)
No clear guides have been written as no one seems to want to have the original setup. I want it because its much more responsive and faster (in my experience), and I will probably be selling this later on so I don't want someone trying to return it to me because the manual is incorrect—trust me people are thick enough, and will do everything they can to get there money back.
So if anyone can write clear instructions like how eXplode does.
Please do so.

So far i have the original Rom installed but the Extended Rom will not install, autorun will show up and then disappear after doing nothing. So i installed all the cabs and well that wasn't a good idea it just bloated the hell out of the thing. Only partial of the files were meant to be run.
Side Question: Does the old windows roms not support formatting from the bootup? Tried the power + reset then record + camera and the menu did not show.
Thanks in Advance!!!
EDIT:
If its help to anyone the extrom is located here http://xdadev.f1ip.net/data/XDA-Dev...ended_Roms/O2_IIs_Asia_Ext_ROM_140923_WWE.rar

change language

I'm new in "windows mobile"
I have saw many threads how to change language ... one of them I have tried
registry edit
but isn't work, it change only a part of it in english ...(only 3D touch)
and someone have tell me to try this one
hard reset
if I will make this one will remain 3D touch, google maps and the other programs that was on it from start?
or if are other ways to make it in english and with all programs that it comes from start please give me a link
thanks!
or to install the ROM?
I have try with cancel memory and now I don't see in file explorer internal memory, it's disappeared
I connect the phone on my computer , to see it new partition like a memory stick I put music and in phone with music player isn't any music file ...
please some help
thanks!
installing a new rom is the way to change the language. I don't think there are patches or updates that will allow you to change it like Vista Ultimate..
Doing the hard reset will install the Rom again, like you first bought it. It will delete all files in the main memory. (hold down volume down + centre button + red reset button for 3 seconds or so.. You get a menu where u can only reinstall rom or also format internal memory.. backup ur data before this..

Cab Problem

Ok, I installed a cab which I think was wrong for my phone - It's the BignAdad transparent taskbar cab. I have a TP2. Anyway, now I can't access all settings nor can I go into the start menu, everything else works properly although it's a bit slower and the icons at the top of the screen don't display properly.
Because of the functions that are disabled, i cannot uninstall this cab. I do have total commander. Can I uninstall it from there? If I have to reset to factory settings (not a problem as I won't lose anything major and I have everything backed up on my pc), how do I do that? Can i do it from my phone or is there a part on the phone I have to press in with a pin or something?
Please help me out!!!!

What you're talking about is called a Hard Reset...and if you're already installing cabs you find online without knowing about hard resets and how and when to do them, you're getting dangerously ahead of yourself. Use the search box in the top right to look for "TP2 Hard Reset", and read very carefully...you need to make sure you know as much as you can about the possible consequences of your tinkering and how to undo it before you start making potentially disabling changes.
