It is very annoying and I know a LOT of you have isntalled Background4AllTabs, so someone MUST have been able to fix this issue....
Any help is much appreciated
i've been searching the forums for a while now and can't seem to find a definitive answer either. again, any help would be greatly appreciated. i'm very keen to remove the current tronesque wallpaper, lol.

Im sorry.. i thought everyone knew...
When you install the background4AllTabs, everything works fine, excet for the manila menues... like All Programs, stocks, Music Player etc and the rest which have the default white background to a height of only 640. The Touch HD has a height of 800 so this leaves a transparent gap of about 160px which is annoying because the programs and items are still lsited.. just no white background.. gives it a very dirty look... there are screenshots in another thread... but i dont have one to be able to post...

Thanks I was going to install it...downloaded before....but now that you told me of this problem I'm reconsidering it and probably I will wait for the final release then...
I tried to PM Nisse and Mun_rus.. who originally made it... and did not get an answer back from them. Seems like the community has beens tuck on this for a while (or it is not a priority). mun_rus got ill so cant really blame him...
Anyway, its times like these i knew a litte bit more to be able to manila edit the right file and change the height of the background...
Hopefully someone will come up with an answer... i dont think there will be a final release... I did wish that Nisse didnt advertise it for the TouchHD as it clearly has this problem.. although mind you.. it does work as advertised...

So are you saying.. that :
1) you have your own background in all the tabs (meaning u have installed background4alltabs)
2) When you go to All programs in Manila... you dont get a stripe on the top...
Can you please post screenshots... i have tried everything and I know there are many of us who ahve done the same.
Just read the thread a bit better now, and I think I just misunderstood. I get full pictures on all tabs, but not sure about "all programs" etc. I don't use it anymore because of the low resolution on the pictures.
So my fears are confirmed... no one knows how... and no one cares...

Find at the bottom a version that will allow the Background in all versions, without the strip problem

It's not very important, cause for the home screen you can put an image 800x480 with the wallpaper option in Parameters, so you just have to choose if you want the 1st version without black strip but with the bug in "All Programs" and "Music" or the 2nd version with black stripe at the top but no bug "All Programs" and "Music"

When u make out calls, it basically blocks out buttons that can be accidently pressed by your face. The transparent one is cool in that it simple allows u to see the buttons in a faded way. Not only does it look cool but it reminds you of the options u have beneath the transparent blocker.

Its not really transparent....just looks as if it is....far better than the original concrete slab !

If you want the Slide to answer Phone canvas from the above picture then use this one as it removes the text that is unnecessary.
This is for folks who already have a phone canvas in there rom. Installing this cab will then replace your old one automatically.

Same here... I just exchanged the two picture files in the cab and made sure the regsetting was 1. Everything did work before with the solid version.
Installed both CABs posted here. Everything works fine. Using bElite 0.97.

My problem disappeared by doing a soft reset after installation.
BTW, it doesn't make sense to install bth cabs, as one is solid and the otherone is transparent. The files installed are named exactly the same, so only the last cab will "hold".
It seems there is misunderstanding here - I installed transparent phone lock and slider CAB for answer/ignore (not both transparent and non-transparent phone lock cabs). After nearly one day usage and over 20 calls everything is OK - no problems with both new options.
AHA! Well, that make sense. I did the same, and after the softreset I don't find any problems at all. I'm thankfull to all who made this happen!

I have found that if you just take these 2 images (Assets_dialer_Normal, Assets_dialer_Pressed) from the windows folder, you can easily just take them into photoshop and then replace them on your device, I did this already and it works perfectly. Only thing is you need to use a program to replace them, such as Resco explorer, which you can download a free trial.
Now the second issue is, does anyone know what the name of the other 2 buttons are while in phone pad? They are the back button and the calls buttons, located at the bottom left and right hand sides. I want to make them black as well

I don`t know what ROM you are using but in NRG Rom`s from long time the Keypad is dark grey like black and looks very cool and also the keypad look a bit diferent than the default one so i dont know do if you have the right files and just copy over windows will work for you but if you really want this keypad i can recomend to Flash Nrg ROM

He dont need a DIALER he is talking about Keypad when you write e-mails SMS and so on so the images Asses_dialer etc are for the Manila Phone Dialer not the keyboard

Yes sorry but the post started out as Phonepad, dus I thought it was for the phone. Keyboard would be the correct word to use for this issue.
I have alos not found a solution for this one although I imagine you can do the same thing possibly?? Find the image(s) which are being used for these and update them...??

Its normally very easy look at this.I have to send it in a zib file otherwise it would be to big
P.S if you like it but the Assets files in your Windows directory with theTotal-commander programm ,EASY BISY
"BE CAREFUL" with overwrite the Assets files "SAFE" at first your original Assets file in case you don`t like my phonepad on you phone it looks always different on the phone as you see them on the picture

what I know Yes you can us it, do be of the save side go in the above Search section, and put "FingerKeyb" in, you will come to the guy who offer the fingerkeyb you can get it in any resolution,if you know your resolution
I don't know the exact name of it, but the grey screen that tracks events. Shows you your battery life, new messages and such. It basically lists system events like new voicemails, IM's....etc.
Now when click on the top icons I get the regular connection bubble, new messahe bubble...the big grey screen doesn't come up any longer.
Only thing I installed today was the WiFi Router cab. I uninstalled that to see if for any reason that could have caused it but nope.
Notes: I am using AT&T's TP2 (Tilt 2) on Stock Rom
Edit: HTC Notification Manager service...that's what I am talking about
In your favorite registry editor, go to HKLM/Services/NOTIFICATIONMANAGER
Look for the key named Dll, and make sure that the value for that key is:
"NotificationManager.dll"
Be sure that the key is correct Uppercase and Lowercase as it is typed here.
If that does not fix it, I really don't know!

Ya that is set correctly. I downloaded "FdcSoft's Task Manager" to see Windows Services screen and saw that the service is set to auto but it was stopped. I started it and its working but when I reboot the phone, its stopped again...
Is there a way to use MortScript to start a service? Cause if so, then I can just drop a script in the startup folder...

Can some other software deleted the file ?

This is NotificationManager.dll from a SPRINT touch pro2, I do not know if there are differences in the dll based on carrier.

You may not see a 'dll" but you might still see "NotificationManager" without the extension...I think that is it.

No, actually after searching, found the NotificationManager.dll, however size is 0 so that can not be right.

Does anyone know how you can start a windows service using a mortscript? If I can do that, I can drop that into the startup folder and that should hopefully get it running again on boot....

i got blueangel ruu with wm6.5 rom img and i transfered enterbootloader.exe and *.nbf to my mmc, moved enterbootloader.exe to phone memory and executed it.
not i have white splash screen with:
Serial (on top of screen)
and v2.10 (on bottom of screen)
there is no light on screen
i saw twice that both leds had flashed for about few milliseconds.
question is, how to exit bootloader and update *.nbf from mmc???

Congratulations, you just put your device in bootloader with no means to take it out of it... (sorry for the sarcasm...)
In any case, you will have to get a cable since the device has to receive a command to exit bootloader, which you will not be able to do through the device. There is no way to flash a rom through SD on the BA (I have a small project, but I am not certain that it will unlock it for you... in fact, I seriously doubt it).
I will try to upload it later and give you a link for it.

I believe that there is a reshack for WM (in fact, I saw it not too long ago). As far as the apis, unfortunately, I am not a programmer, so I wouldn't even know where to start looking for that (other than google searches).
well, listing win32 and CE functions at same place....
i use winNT api help, because it does not contain .Net or winCE apis....lol

Which link are you talking about (I have like 4 in my signature)?
In any case, if you are looking for a UI that makes the device look like a Desktop, you need Wisbar Advance Desktop and Wisbar Advance. I have never been able to use them correctly, but I have seen people making their Home screens look like OSX, WinXP, and even Vista.

i was thinking about that link.
i tryed wisbar, but it is not something i may like.
there is something like wisbar on s60, and i gave up on it 2 years ago...
just dont know why do i have to be one who find all buggs in software\hardware :S
btw, ORD, i am partly in, but in my case, it dont have to be stable, but UI must be flawless
anyway, now i have issue with splash on hermes:S

You could try going into Start>Settings>Personal>Input Options and check the options in there. I cannot remember off the top of my head, but I do believe that this option is somewhere in here.
