Hi,guys..
HOw to dump a ROM of Qtek s200(prophet)?
i tried to dump it's Rom using a MTTY, the code i input was " r2sd all", but it said that
Code:
r2sd all
*****user area size=0x77E0000 Bytes
R2SDBackup0-Download type=5
usTotalBlock=1 sizeof(SDCARD_SIGNATRUE_TABLE)=512
You didn't get the proper security level to download a specific image
So it is fail......
i want to backup it's Rom, then flash it onto other Prophet ...
Anyone pLz teach me how to do...
THX
jimmy
I get the same error message just like you.
Anyone know how to back up s200 rom?
Yes, please. Would be usefull!
As specified in the Wiki page, Prophet should be CID Unlocked BEFORE the ROM dump. But doing so, you'll change your ROM
Take a look HERE
Thanks for any help

Please let us know how you get on with it
john
Sweet! Downloading right now
I am getting Country ID error when I am trying to install it
As per my usual request...
If anyone DOES manage to get it installed, can they run Cleartype and see if it is 'GOOD' Cleartype, like the O2 ROMS, or useless, garbled and coloury Cleartype, as per the Orange ROMS please?
As for the Country Code error, is it a T-Mobile or UK device you are installing on?
if not, you'll need to edit the nbf files for the correct country.
How to edit those files? TIA
NBF files are passworded, can't seem to open them in editor

rom 1.72
radio 1.12
extrom 1.72.04

Phew! Fixed. Loading image now 21% done
Hi ID 64 what is your country ID ?
me I have a french Qtel 2020 with now the WWE 1.66 rom.
I have now the country error with the 1.72.
How you fix it ?
thanks
there were several roms posted to this forum, which are truncated.
apparently people are using the xda2 parameters for rom extraction, but didn't check if they still apply for the xda-3.
to get the entire rom, you should extract the rom using
Code:
d2s 80000000 02000000
.
from the bootloader.
or when using 'pmemdump':
Code:
pmemdump 0x80000000 0x02000000 rom.nb
ROM question
These is the notion I was looking for!
Any possibility to use the truncated ROM jest posted?
And which is your opinion on locked ROM news?
Thanks!
don't know yet.
I was looking into how the bootloader works.
noticed that the radio rom is somewhat encrypted. but it looks like it should be easy to crack.
Jest to let you know that ExtRom Tools doesn't work good, it hide, unhide and lock, but when I try to unlock a got these: debug error.
Then I press ok and I get: debug FL_IOCTL_BDTL_HW_PROTECTION
Again I press ok and I get: debug - Ein an System angeshlossenes Great funktioniert nicht.
Then I press ok yet and I get: debug extrom unlocked (but is not unlocked)
Can I help you, do you need something (radio, extrom, etc) from my MDAIII.
Regards.
has anyone of you got the rom flashed/cooked for telford?
does the landscape work ?
Hi,
did anybody post XDAIII ROM, which was dumped correctly, yet?
If so, where can I DL it?
THANX
buzz
Hi to all!
I'm a new qtek 9000 (dangaard) owner, and i started one week ago to look for tweaks and so on.. so here i am! i red every forum and many, many messages, but none gave me an answer...
Special attention (and thanks) go to buzz for his deep knowledge and tutorials.
My actual goal is to FULLY backup (dump) ALL that is needed to FULLY restore the ORIGINAL (warranty not voided) firmware/software.
To do this i tried 2 methods:
1) task32, d2m from boot loader : NO SUCCESS , usual "not allow operation" message; i have bootloadr 1.0 , so i think is not possible, BUT CAN I DOWNGRADE the loader, dump, and then RESTORE my 1.0 loader ? how to do it (if yes) ??
2) the "pdocread" method: ok, but in the qtek.raw there is NOT MY radio, and so on.... how can i get MY original ones ?
p.s. there is no official upgrade for my qtek yet... so i can't' use it only wity my pdocreaded os...
Thanks a lot to everyone!! and please give me answers )
rom dump
I too would like a simple walkthrough on how to dump Radio , Rom and Extended rom.
Hats off too Buzz and many but I have tried to make sense of various posts and all seem to go off abit for us simple folk.
Does someone out there have answers please to:
1) Can a rom back up (dump) be done.
2) When dump has completed does original rom stay on device or does dumping it mean it's gone from universal completly.
3) Can you save these images and install them back onto universal at a latter date.
If this is possible how? What software do we need to do it?
I want to update the crapy slow rom on my M5000. But to cover my arse I would like the option to restore it to it's factory shipped state if it all goes belly up!
so folks ??
does someone takes care to give us an explanation of all this ??
Hey guys, just PM me... I'm now at work but have made a word document on how to do this adn it's at home.
I also had this dilema... I have a Spanish QTEK and no official ROM so here goes....
1. If you want the .DOC, pm me where to send it - i take no responsibility for the results but will help if you get stuck somewhere or need clarification on the steps.
2. I got the my radio (1.03.00) from the english qtek ROM by copying the radio_.nbf file as radio's are not language dependent (as far as i know). The OS, i created the QTEk.RAW with pdocread, the Extended_ROM i just copied and pasted. That's how I backed-up my device that I can restore again still "under warranty" so to DUMP/BACKUP
2.1 OS : Use pdocread
2.2 Extended_ROM : Just copy and paste
2.3 Radio : Get it from a ROM update with same radio version.
Hope this helps
Hi guys,
I have a newbie question, please.
I read something about ROM is language dependent.
My O2 XDA2 has a ROM version 1.03.00 USA, can I do an upgrade to a 1.72.187 UK version? If no, is there an US version upgrade available? where can I find it?
Thanks for any help.

Please provide more information about your device, such as:
Bootloader type (SPL): You will see this when you enter the bootloader
Did flash finish correctly (eg. 100%)
Do you see tri color screen (Bootloader), or your device froze at Windows splash screen?
Add some more technical info and I am sure somebody can help you, but frankly I have no idea what error 294 is.

I'm not a tech guru like many on this forum - so I can't really help too much. BUT, I have found the error codes which seem to indicate that error 294 is an invalid vendor ID which suggests that you aren't super CID, aren't using olipro hardSPL or DES to flash with and are trying to flash a ROM which requires a vendor ID.
This is the link I got this info from and I hope someone else can be more helpful.

Good luck...
how to manage the official ROM (galaxy.cap) to .nb0 ROM?
i have p525 original rom in english v.3.43 and i downgraded the radio virsion to v.6.
i want to install the original rom in Hebrew but i get this error message "Extended ROM update cannot be applied to this region's virsion!"
i understood that i need to manage the official ROM to .nb0 ROM,
i did it and installed the ROM but it didnt ask me about installing hebrew support as it asked in the past when i updated the rom virsion.
can any1 help me?
thank you very much!
in the REGIONAL SETTING i didnt see ISRAEL so i installed the VIVI's cab and now i have it and its on ISRAEL but again when i want to install the original rom from asus (v3.43 in HEBREW) i get again this error message:
"Extended ROM update cannot be applied to this region's virsion!"
Do you get this error message after you flashed (3.43) successfully and restarted? Or is that the message the bootloader spills out?
Before you downgraded to 3.43 again, did you run the ASUS.UnlockLangId.exe? If you didn't do that you may still have the wrong language ID set.
To convert the cap-file to nb0, run P525RomTool -d Galaxy.cap. But I guess you've already done that.
Itay , run this before flashing your selfmade nb0 .

good luck .
thanks man!
the problem has been solved
